Personally think GOW and Breath of the wild are really overrated and I'm a big zelda fan.

10. The Force Unleashed 2 (sue me, I loved it)


This is hard, I'm sure I missed at least 25 games I consider better than most of these.

1. The Witcher 3 - In my top 2 of all time.
2 God of War - Possibly the best action game I've ever played.
3. Nier Automata - The most weird, wonderful and philosophical gaming experience.
(These three are absolutely top tier - among the best of all time)
4. Soulsborne - I know it's not one game but they're wonderful and would take up many spots. A genre of their own.

Red Dead, PES, Yakuza 0, HZD, TLOU, Skyrim etc all form part of the "rest of the bunch" for me.

Warhammer isn't the most cultured pick though. If I were truly cultured I'd say something like Medieval with the Stainless Steel mod or something

Bloodborne, which is one of my favourite games of all time, and easily the best PlayStation 4 exclusive, imo.

Metal Gear:Phantom Pain purely for the gameplay.

Also shout out to Dragon Quest 11, Persona 5 and Fire Emblem Three Houses which I’m playing at the moment and is incredible.

Can’t remember to much from my PS3 but loved Portal 2 which was 2011 I think.

The gameplay is (imo) very poor for an SPRPG and once you get some decent gear it mostly becomes a walk in the park. Walked the game in hard mode without even using oils and shit.

But the story, graphics, voice acting, cut scenes and sheer number of options... it's all excellent.

I think it was a solid 7/10 game, if I’m honest. Great fun but nowhere near groundbreaking.

It's very campy and OTT and I went into it with a lot of misgivings but i actually started to love it after about 5 or 6 hours. It just shows that turn based RPGs can still sell/get critical acclaim despite what Square Enix might think.

I love the Witcher but I felt the same way you feel about The Last of Us. Tried it twice and the gameplay just felt excruciatingly dull. Just one of those things I'll just never be able to appreciate.

Really overrated in my opinion, because it revolves around a fun premise. Just so repetitive with incredibly boring locations devoid of life though.

Try Assassins Creed Odyssey, the combat is better and general gameplay. You can also turn all the hand holding off so that everything unfolds organically, you can make it so you have to physically locate the quests yourself with descriptions of landmarks given by NPCs. The combat is also less clunky, it looks better and it's more enjoyable to navigate the world. The story and character attachment in TW3 is better though but if you're a fan of Greek mythology then you'll probably find it easy to get into AC:OD.

Yeah played that for hundreds of hours. Sad the mod tools for the newer ones arent as elaborate.

Surprised nobody has picked Just Cause 2. Seriously fun game that had hundreds of hours of replay-ability. Far Cry 3 as well was bloody good.

Max Payne 3 also up there.

GTA V, Skyrim, Mass Effect 2, Witcher 3 & Red Dead Redemption 2 we’re all incredible experiences. I’m still playing Witcher 3 now. Shout out to XCOM 2 as well which is a lot of fun.

I thought Assassins Creed: Black Flag was pretty good but the games I listed above are ones I put hours and hours into. I replayed all of them apart from RDR 2.
