No matter how bad he might be at times, or the easy frustrating give aways, there's a reason he isn't subbed when we are not winning, and it's because of the sheer amount of huge big chances he creates for others.

What was his pass completion rate, because his passing was fecking erratic. Can't fault the chances he creates, but he really needs to stop the needless giving the ball away.
Just checked and 73%, so not terrible. Feels like the passes he did miss were either sloppy or unnecessary but this is what you get with Bruno, take the good and the bad.

He needs to play closer to the midfield, looked so much better when he dropped into a proper No. 10 role. Midfield looked more solid and he started to get the time and space to pick his passes.

Without wishing to be mean, I know he had some key moments, as usual, but I find the match ratings of him interesting as to me he had quite a poor game and was responsible for a lot of good opportunities going awry. We should not be scared to play Pogba ahead of him sometimes.

He created 9 chances. That's not a poor game. Outcome matters

Some of his passing was a bit hit and miss but he was involved in most of our best stuff and the assist for Rashford's goal was class.

He had a great game, unfortunately players missed easy chances created by him, and that gives the impression he didn't have a great game.

He also worked his ass off for 90 minutes. If we have another player on his level in midfield or attack, this team could go places.

Was very good in the second half, played some excellent passes after a horrible first half.

I'm still not a fan of his game, the second half was the kind of game that suits him, frantic with loads of spaces in behind. Better and more compact teams will never afford us such a luxury.

After the first half it felt about 50%. Yeah, that's the annoying part, really simply overhit and not part under a great deal of pressure, just rushed. Hey ho, let's hope he can tighten it up a bit for Sunday.

Yup for those kind of games, we need a peak Messi or something right?

His high risk, high reward style is pretty much what keeps Ole in a job but changing his role is maybe key to adding some balance to the team.

Just back from the game, pass to Rashford aside he was absolutely horrendous. Absolutely.

He's such a bizarre player. Clearly has bags of talent and technique but its like he needs a manager that can emphasize when to "go for it" and when to reign it in and settle the team a bit. Ironically I feel Zidane could transform him. Because he creates a ton but it's also sheer volume of attempts as well, and he struggles to settle the side as he tends to go for the hero ball/shot when we are rocking.

I don't really know what to do with him. I'd love to see a different look team with him on the bench and Pogba in his role just to see how the team retains the ball and the different shape, but you can't bench his production. So we are stuck in the middle with a dynamic player with monstrous production that is a bit too loose in a team that's already struggling for players that keep their play tight and tidy.

He perfectly encapsulates the chaotic nature of this side. He is "Solskjaer's United" to a large degree.

We had like 3-4 years of that before Bruno was here. Where were you?

Needs to be coached right. Some of his decision making should have been ironed out ages ago. You can't have such a "chaotic" player as some people in this thread have described him as. One moment he can produce a prime Scholesy assist, the next he can shoot from 50 yards for no real reason.

Not his best game tonight but that vision to pick out Rashford has to be applauded. This team could really reach for the stars under the right manager.

There was probably never a game that better encapsulated Bruno, good and bad, but there was probably never a goal that did either, good and bad. It wasn’t the first goal either. The second goal was absolutely, pure unadulterated Bruno: good idea for very quick corner, shit execution, but still gets the goal at the second attempt via a Maguire shot from distance.

Shocking bit of passing would like to know how many times he lost the ball? But had some good moments too crazy game for him.

Feck off. I hate these post match stat summaries.

Bruno can be shit but still manage to produce a couple of assists somehow.

If I was a manager, I'd be very torn on Bruno. I think we underestimate the impact his and Pogba's sloppiness has on the team.

His output is too good to ignore though. Almost behind everything we create.

The only player in the team who can pick a pass and he gets slated.

“Some good moments”-indeed he saves us 9/10 times.

Over does it at times…

but his misplaced passes are all an attempted at a killer ball.

it is really quite easy to keep it if you just pass it sideways 5 feet.

such a high percentage of our creativity is him

people wanting him dropped are mental

and the difference between his sloppiness and pogbas is where he loses it on the pitch.

it very rarely costs us a goal

To play Pogba to retain the ball. I mean..

That assist was an awful cross. He had at least 10 of them today. Can someone make a compilation?

He’s such a conundrum to me. Does some stuff so well but he gives the ball away like no one I’ve ever seen.

Some great passes but we'll never truly control games with him in the team unless he drastically changes his game.

We would've lost the game without him. Absolutely.
He was horrific. We’d have played much better without him tonight. But great ball for the first goal. Someone else could have created something with the umpteen opportunities he wasted

The assist for Rashford and a few other moments aside, it was a very frustrating performance from Bruno. His crosses never beat the first man (funnily enough, one of those duff crosses eventually led to Shaw putting in a peach of a ball for Ronaldo’s winner), his passes were frequently underhit and his shooting was poor.

Unlike others, I don’t see this as a case of having to accept those mistakes if we want to see the great things he does as well. Those mistakes are simply down to sloppiness and Bruno not concentrating enough. A truly great player would eliminate those failings from his game. But if anything, they seem to be getting worse with Bruno.

He needs to:
1) Play closer to McFred
2) Play the extra pass
3) Not go for the killer pass every time he gets the ball
