Teams are out and he is on the bench.I'd be shocked if Di Maria starts the game in the bench. Even if we park the bus and play for the one counter (originally typed cunter) Di Maria is a far more lethal threat.
Typical Mourinho. Very defensive, nullifying threat, but with ability to win through a moment of good play at other end.Chelsea's line up is a disgrace.
You need the passing and discipline and ability to always open yourself up to receive the ball and keep play moving. Fellaini doesn't have that. Herrera could, but it really takes away from his game as he is best as a box to box.I'm not sure really. I think I'd prefer Fellaini as DM and Di Maria to play further forward. Anyway hopefully I'm wrong
Jesus christ Injuries be damned...Rooney will play as the holding mid.
Yep, basically Ivanovic and Zouma will have to stop our left side with Fellaini, Young and Shaw and Matic- Azpilicueta will have to stop Herrera, Mata and Valencia. Mourinho want to keep it tight and grab a win on the counter/set piece probably. So Zouma to man mark Fellani then?
I think it's smart. We play a possession game, he's gonna try and break up play at every opportunity.Mourinho plays Zouma in midfield? Even with our injuries?
Yea its a tricky situation for sure I would just feel more comfortable with Rooney up top. I suppose it's a shame we have Blind and Carrick out at the same timeYou need the passing and discipline and ability to always open yourself up to receive the ball and keep play moving. Fellaini doesn't have that. Herrera could, but it really takes away from his game as he is best as a box to box.
It's why his teams will never really be admired, but also why he is so good at getting results... Doesn't care what people say or think, goes for what is best for shutting down key players on the opposition and is satisfied to grind out results which he's confident in doing if he shuts out the opposition. He's very much in the low risk, low reward category, but it keeps his teams consistent at least...Chelsea's line up is a disgrace.
I agree, I think he will want to keep those little triangles on the left and right as near to usual as possible. Keep Herrera, Valencia and Mata linking up.Nah Rooney for sure
He knows what he wants and knows what he needs,he is not genius enough to pull ala Rodgers. Not saying that he will get result 100% but...Mourinho plays Zouma in midfield? Even with our injuries?
*Defensive midfield. Shocking how people will just say shit just to be all dramatic without even giving it a seconds thought (because that's really all it needs to realize that numbers of injuries has no impact on when a player comes in to the team, it has to be injuries to specific players). In Di Maria's case, it's literally the exact same as it has been for the past month. Fellaini, Mata, Young all in top form, not going to be dropped. That means he stays on the bench. So our record signing can't even make the team with an injury crisis in midfield. Happy enough with the backline all things considered though.
That's what he had been preparing for all week. Even with the announcement from us that we had four injured yesterday, it wasn't really going to affect anything from his end.Mourinho plays Zouma in midfield? Even with our injuries?
He was over the years, but in the last two years, especially this one, it costed him big time in important games. Of course, he is lucky that other candidates for PL this year were bit shit and couldn't take advantage of that, but at least we saw it in the CL.but also why he is so good at getting results...
Why does their team bother you lol Everyone saying all week theyll take a draw. Maybe Mourinho had same thought, his lineup says "take a draw maybe nick it"..This is going to end 0-0. Pathetic from Chelsea tbh when you consider how many injuries we have.
Hello, we're talking about Mourinho mate, the man who used Pepe as a midfielder against Barca. This is going to end 0-0. Pathetic from Chelsea tbh when you consider how many injuries we have.
Falcao is nailed on to score against Chelsea. . Like he did years ago ..Drogba is pretty much nailed on to score against us for old times sake.
