Club Sale | It’s done!

If he gets in the club is done. Sounds hyperbolic but it’s true all we’re left with is the Glazers getting more spending money whilst the club remains hundreds of millions in debt and shit facilities.

In all honesty even if Jim got 100% tomorrow his history at running football clubs is laughable he can’t compete in a 1 team league in France ffs.
Hyperbole is right.

Nice are currently 2nd in the French League by the way.

Has anyone ever spotted Jim at a game ? Not expecting him to slum it in the stands with us but I would have thought he would have a box or something as he's supposed to a be United supporter.

You need to ask Chelsea fans.

It’ll be almost a year to the day those parasites put the club up for sale and we are still no closer to being rid of them. If Rat comes on board then their grip on the club will be stronger than ever.

Depressing.

After 8 games lets see where they finish because its been mid table finishes under Ineos whilst their Swiss team was relegated twice. Looking at ligue 1 they're second and have only won 4/8. The league is a joke there's no excuse for not getting a CL spot if the owner was at least half competent.

Jim tried and failed to bid for Chelsea, he tried and failed to invest into Barcelona we'll be the mugs left with him. Even putting aside all his failures in France and Switzerland the bid looks absolutely ridiculous that doesn't help the club in any way what so ever.

I want and we need a full reset , that won’t happen if Ratcliffe gets 25%, I don’t care who buys us at this point, I just want a full sale.

Another 10 years or worse of the Glazers doesn’t bare thinking about .

Correct, I'm not saying otherwise. What i mean is, if they wanted to raise money for the club, they could do it in several ways without impacting their ownership status.
They can't or rather they couldn't, they tried but no investor until jim was biting, they floated the sale because anyone offering these idiots money asked for high rate of returns and probably a lot of say in how business is run.

Why do people keep saying this when it seems that all that is being spoken about is that it will be just a more gradual transition to 100% ownership for INEOS while also allowing them to start making investment?

I don't understand why Ratcliffe would complete a staggered purchase over the course of the next few years instead getting the whole lot now. Why?
Available cash, he’s super rich but he’s not super liquid rich that’s why plus the Glazers are a nightmare to deal with?

I love the hypocrisy.

Shouting at INEOS for under performing but not at Qatari owners for having PSG as the world's biggest circus and also failing in other ventures such as Malaga.

At least make things comparable mate.

Absolutely spot on

It's crazy how people just keep parroting the same pro-Qatari propaganda for 6 months, incapable of using their brain it seems.

Even now after the latest news that Ineos reportedly not only want 100% of the club (not just 69%) eventually, but also want to invest before that and want to make sure that the money is going into the club...there's still several replies containing the same old nonsense. :(

Shit source, but I seriously doubt we'll ever hear about Jassim in the football world again if his bid for United isn't successful.
Shite source is right. The guy who wrote it looks like he just hit puberty.

That is a guarantee, such a ridiculous article. It wouldn't be surprising for a different Qatari entity to go after a different PL club if the Man Utd bid fails, but we can be sure it would not be with Sheikh Jassim as the lead man.

Wow that's really great news where did you get that from Yeah Right from Ever so credible and reliable Muppetiers it seems you aren't that dissimilar to Pro Qatari crowd whom you accuse of not using their brains . Next time please don't fall for Bs Merchants .

Apologies in advance it's all in good banter don't take it seriously . If any of the credible reports come with the similar info I would welcome it as well I guess most will now if that's the only way to get rid of Glazer's .

I don't trust him and his company nor do many on here so maybe stop trying to sway people when I have made up my mind

PSG and Malaga were owned by completely different people and neither was owned by Shiekh Jassim, just because they have both been a mess under Qarari owners doesnt mean Man Utd will be under Shiekh Jassim.

I love it when people say that. The club had 1 league title win in their entire history before Qatar. Their claim to fame in the last 40 years was having Ronaldinho play for them before the sale.

This myth that Qatar have failed with PSG is fascinating

Right but you can make a similar argument that the way Ratcliffe has run his other ventures won't be the same as how he runs United because it's a different ball game all together.

And the fact that Sheikh owners from Qatar have been broadly terrible doesn't bode well for the idea of another Sheikh owner.

The myth that Qatar have demonstrated bang for buck from their PSG investment is fascinating. They're now just a huge circus that won a couple of farmer league cups. That is the epitome of failure for what the sporting project was set out to be.

Oh they've overspent for sure I wont deny that but they constantly win their league and are generally seen as one of the top clubs in the Champions League. Ineos can't even crack the CL spots never mind challenge PSG, they're battling it out with Clermont Foot for a top half finish last season its pathetic.

I'm very much pro-Qatar but I would be prepared to give Jimmy a chance. I think he's serious about taking on a sporting project and is not just seeking to enrich himself. Whether he has the financial means to make us competitive again remains to be seen of course.

Winning the French league when the disparity in funds is that huge is not a win whatsoever.

I also don't think they're a top team in the CL since they are behind Bayern, Liverpool, City, Real even Chelsea. Heck I reckon Atletico have demonstrated better pedigree than them.

Their record of getting to the semis is atrocious and they've only got to one final since being bought out. It's a joke how disappointing they are given the vast sums of money spent.

This is where I am. Just something happen please. I know it would not be perfect but maybe things would get shaken up at the club.

But we're arguing about Ineos vs Qatar and the fact remains Qatar want to win, they'll spend money and demand to be the best.

Our potential owner is making up the numbers and finishing mid table, he signed Kasper Schmichael and Aaron Ramsey last summer for gods sake.

You can't say PSG are a failed project when they're wiping the floor with Nice every season, if they're spending money then good on them that's what we need at United.

Well INEOS biggest backer is the Saudi Royal Commision who they have £2.3bn of investment agreements with so its still basically Shiekh ownership.

This has got to be the top of the dumbest arguments I've seen on here and that is saying something.

Where have Nice finished since Ratcliffe took over the club? They haven't consistently made Europe, let alone the Champions League.

This kind of comparison is truly the kneejerker's special. Following the same logic, the many season we've started well or even finished second (the one with Mourinho where we had a brief look at competing with City for the title was probably the 'best') were supposedly indicators of the how well the Glazers run the club. Or is there some other logic you'd apply there?

Meanwhile, the 'clowns' from Qatar have got PSG and absolutely dominated the French league, turning PSG into a household name in world football, irrespective of their scatter-gun approach (which doesn't differ too much from the one taken by the much beloved by some on here John Murtough).

All in all, it's fine to have your biases and preferences but gaslighting people who have legitimate concerns a 70-year-old Brexit Boomer with no track record for success in football will improve the running of the club is quite disingenuous.

Do you know what I was quoting?

Read posts better before citing what is dumb and what isn't.

I never said Nice haven't underperformed up until this season. I'm just saying they are currently 2nd so to say they don't compete is poorly timed.

Yep, we need to fire the entire board and the management chain starting with Arnold and Murtough and start over. That's not happening with the Glazers in charge.

As much as Arnold tries to put the responsibility for the football side of things on Murtough, ultimately he's the CEO and he's responsible for the performance of the club.
