In the coming DAYS!

As mentioned, there is a bid deadline in the coming days. That doesn’t mean they will or even could own the club in the next few days. Just means the bid will be in and the rest of the process plays out.

Why would you think Ten Hag wouldn't have signed Martinez? i think if he had 500 million to spend, his ideas on how to build the team would be the same, he'd just be able to build it quicker.
He didn’t even want to sign Martinez as his first choice as it is! Why would he risk a player stepping up from Holland if he could go out and sign (my minds drawing a blank here) feck it prime VVD?
We already see it with Pep and his Messing about with Laporte and Dias this season never mind sending out the best LB in the word to Bayern on loan because he was grumpy for two weeks. Players become a bit too interchangeable.
He literally sent Jesus and Zinchenko off to Arsenal because, imo, he slightly lost the value of unique players and what they can bring. He also sold his second highest scorer last season to Chelsea like it was nothing.
I’ll just bench KDB here in a must win game v Spurs…

I didn't have a problem with the ownership. I have a problem with you blatantly breaking FFP and creating fake revenue reports, and because of that I believe you deserve to be punished for it. Not with the ownership itself though, my thoughts were the same in relation to Newcastle, which was a much more morally questionable purchase. Honestly don't think talk of morals has much place in such an obviously consistently immoral business. I love the sport and above all my club. I just want the best for it. Simple as that.

I don’t think we need the oil money cheat code to get back on top as a team. However we may need it if we want to invest in a new, state of the art stadium and training ground though. We’re talking probably around £3bn to get that. I imagine the Qataris can fund something like that at a snap of a finger and they wouldn’t cheap on it. They’d probably want to make the most recent NFL stadium builds look ordinary.

When was the last time OT had a significant change? The quadrants back in 2006ish?

I’m from the Gulf and one of the biggest misconceptions on here is that wealthy Gulf individuals are always connected to the state. It simply isn’t true. There are many private individuals/families that would easily be able to buy United, that have zero connection to the state, and have made their money through private business.

Well yes I get that but a bid gets the ball rolling

Are we expected to maintain similar spending levels as under the Glazers, ie our own money?
I would think we are expected to follow the rules of the league , the fa , uefa and fifa . I would expect that no matter what the nationality of the owners.

That Tweet cuts out some key context from the article, which is that, in the same year, Qatar (via QSI) bought a 70% stake in PSG.
This could be personal investment which would make sense as they can create clear distinction with PSG ownership.

No, the excitement of squad building will be gone. I know it could go wrong but we already know England is becoming the super league of football. Every top player seems to want to come here. Imagine being as huge as United that are winning all the trophies with huge stars and not only that but have the first pick of stars who want to come behind them.
it’ll be exciting for a few years but what about 10 years down the line? Are you excited about signing tomorrows Mbappe when you have todays Mbappe in your side? Are you as excited as you are watching Garnacho when you know Haaland is on the market and you really have to go for the big blonde dickhead?
As I said that’s worst case and that would be why I would stop watching. If it stays how it is now and Ten Hag simply wants to buy the Napoli striker and Bellingham then fair enough ( yes I already know they’re elite players) but I can’t see us signing a Martinez if United could just go to the best defender in Spain at the time or De Ligt or somebody stupid like that.
Im just saying I hope there’s an in between. The soul of a club can be lost very quickly
There will be an in between. The new FFP rules and regs. This isnt the same as the folks buying City or PSG - relative nobodies in the footballing world. Its Manchester United. Every single thing will be scrutinised and ensured that its done by the book (even more so with the City investigation and the Govt about to step in).

They just need to put the 5 or 6 bill down, one or two bill for the stadium depending on whether they want to renovate or build state of the art with all the modcons, and maybe a bill on training and infrastructure and players. Oh, and pay the debt off. The club just runs itself then.

Interesting how there are comments implying we'll be unstoppable with filthy rich owners, as if we'll win every trophy in sight with ease. City have armed themselves with a world class squad and arguably the best manager in football and still don't have a CL trophy

Calling bullshit. Don’t see any truth in it and it’s probably Raine desperately trying to make Ineos up their bid

If the football club was ran properly then we wouldn't need to worrying who the owners are. The fact that the debt was never cleared hamstrings the operation. We need investment in the stadium, probably a new one and Carrington re done. Now, that wont happen without deep pockets as without it we will suffer on the pitch. Its the world of finance. Do you check who owns your hotel , aircraft you fly on, gas in your hob, mobile phone supplier, the car you drive. Unfortunately the source of the money you worry about in interlaced into our society and it isn't going away. i just hope the new owner is actually a Man Utd fan as that would do me.
I always hate this argument. Do you love your hotel, the aircraft you fly, gas in your hob, mobile phone supplier, the car you drive as you love United and have a connection with? Anyone who doesn't like us going that path, just let them. Why always bring up these stupid arguments. I, myself, am not sure how I feel about it and how I will feel if it actually happens. If its a consortium, it might be different, but even then I'm not sure.

I was here before the Glazers and will be here after them. I outlasted Martin Edwards as chairman. I will outlast the new owners too. Nothing will effect my support of United, it’s been ever present. Short of fan ownership we’re always going to be owned by at best someone morally dubious, at worst reprehensible.
This.

United fans have always bitched about poor chairmen ever since I have been supporting United (since the Edwards.) And I suspect they will till the end of time. That's just what United fans do.

But you dont even know the identity of the owners yet?
