Boner killer Jacobs is back
Yep. One constant has been that whenever some news breaks that people get excited about, his smug little face will pop up playing it all down

“The Qatar bid will be low wahhhh. Nothing will happen tomorrow wahhhhh. The deadline will be extended wahhhhhh. More Americans will try to buy you wahhhhhh”

Really not sure what I will do if we get sold to Qatar.
Long way to go before we get to that point. This is just the first round of bidding - we'll have c. 5 weeks of bullshit stories ahead of us and rival bids from the US and elsewhere, before any deal gets closed. Even after all of that, it's possible no deal ever gets closed.

Madrid, Bayern are not oil club. Their revenues are on level with us. City and PSG bought Neymar, Mbappe, Haaland and ton of the 'best of the best' and yet they haven't won the CL. While Madrid and Bayern won the CL multiple times.
Totally true about Bayern but correct me if I’m wrong, the Spanish state had bailed out Madrid on numerous occasions.

My one concern is the propensity they have shown a propensity to go around their manager to make blockbuster signings. We've seen what that can do to a dressing room, we've seen the extent to which lack of harmony in the dressing room can lead to bad results on the pitch, and most importantly Ten Hag won't stick around. If they hire the best football people that want to work with ETH and visa versa, and defer to them on which players to go after, we're in business again.

Another Reddit take on the Reporter

He's very reliable I think. Ustad Al Doha has been a standout sports newspaper for a long time and they're very close to the decision makers in Qatar. Majed Al Khelaifi himself is a very respected journalist and has been a voice of reason for over 15 years on Al Majlis, which is arguably the most popular sports show in the Arab World

The Bloke is a bullshitter, but all he’s saying is there’s more reports the deal is done, which is true?
A couple of days he made it sound like he had exclusive inside knowledge of the takeover and now he is going by reports on Twitter? It's being a Twitter bullshitter.

I've no doubt people have probably been briefed about Qatar's bid but it seems unlikely that anything could be agreed yet considering plenty other offers could come in tomorrow including late offers after the 10pm deadline.
Not sure how credible but the glazers were pictured In Qatar a month or two ago. At least somewhere in the ME.

I wouldn’t imagine they’d have any interest in watching the World Cup either. Clearly don’t give a shite about football

With Friday being set as the 'soft' deadline, the only way Qatar could be so sure of purchasing Man Utd is that they know there are no other bids rivaling theirs.

Not sure how credible ESPN sources are, but I’m actually surprised there would be multiple groups from Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Always thought most of the wealth is directly/indirectly controlled by the royal families.
Saudi Arabia it can be, the royal family there is extensive and has multiple branches, each with their own pockets of wealth but not necessarily all aligned at any given time (some were even arrested a few years ago as part of "corruption investigations" that were really a political crackdown). Qatar seems more unlikely that there's actually much wealth that is in any way removed from the ruling core of the royal family, the country is just small in terms of native population.

Wasn’t most of their transfers done by Leonardo and the previous football director? I think they just hired the wrong people for the role.

But having said that they have attracted some good players to their club, considering it’s the French league and they started from feck all too

Editor in Chief of Doha Arabic, apparently extremely reliable in Qatar.

Taken from Reddit.
Are we all going to ignore this guy and focus on the bad news? Or does no one go back a few pages and catch up on the days news?

I feel it’s a constant cycle of going through things that have already been posted and answered

That's highly suspiscious, what were you doing there? And why have you visited the PSG store in Paris multiple times? Are you an undercover PSG fan? :)

Yes because I went back and brought it to the front because everyone was asking “isn’t he a bullshitter” and not focusing on the apparent more reliable source - like the one I quoted from a post a few pages back

Are you saying that Paris is the most visited city in the world not because of PSG?!
Paris has been the most visited city in Europe, even before PSG was bought by Qatar.

I haven't met anybody who went to Paris thinking about PSG the football club, they receive shiton of americans, japanese, canadians, australian and chinese tourists who don't give 2 craps about football.

May as we'll say that Chelsea massively boosted tourism in London.

Sure, people didn't discuss that news until you brought it to the front 12 minutes ago.

It is, but so are other clubs stores as well, as there are trip packages that include stadium tours in cities like Milan, Barcelona, and Madrid for example, marketing the city's football clubs.

Real Madrid is the biggest club in Europe, and i doubt tourists who go to Madrid do it because of Real.

I'd argue that clubs use city's fame to market their brand, not the other way around.
