Nonchalantly scoring the winner...
If there were any intentions to sell, Glazer's wouldn't waste time negotiating and let the new owners deal with it

Feel the Glazer's are just going to stay and then blame the bidders
Exactly this.

I feel the 8b rumours are also a way of them pathetically trying to shift the narrative to, ‘it’s the bidders’ fault we’re still here, not ours’.

Classic, weasel-esque Glazer type move.

I feel what they’ve pulled with this will effect the team this season and I hope that if results aren’t great all frustrations are firmly aimed that them first and foremost.

Anyone listening to talksport this morning? Fuming with Jim White telling United fans to suck it up and regarding all the money they've taken out its their perogative to run the club however they want, we should be grateful with all the money spent on transfers!

Considering there has been 200 million spent on incoming players, and improved sponsorship conditions, also, the Glazers will be within their rights to demand more than six billion.

Qatar will stump it up, I reckon, even if it goes up to ten billion. It's clearly a state bid. Loose change. Whether or not the 92F want to spend is the only hindrance but United are obviously bigger than anyone else.

Andy Burnham's public 'discomfort' will not have helped the Qatari cause, either will their own public announcement for local gentrification, and turning OT into the BeInSports Bowl. Buying David Beckham to add pressure may not have helped, either.

As for performances, the players are handsomely paid professionals. They can't blame Glazer rule for 'distracting' them for their task.

Somebody should call that eejit and set him straight! It isn't the amount of cash but where and how it has been spent.

Need that clip of Gary Neville telling his sky colleagues that they have invested the same amount in United as the Glazers

They haven’t sold yet. Why would they become lazy and risk future income because they intend to sell?

Until pen is on paper it’s BAU.

It’s all intentional to rile people up, it’s how they get attention.

More than that, why would they not add value to the sale price of the club at the very moment when it’s most in issue?

Numpty. Funny

Then there was no reason not doing it a month ago or before? It's not exactly expiring tomorrow
Is that really your logic here? Jesus Christ critical thinking is tough isn’t it

The marketing/commercial department are the ones who would have worked on this renewal deal. It's not glazers sitting down with Adidas.

The marketing/commercial would have no clue about what the glazers going to do regarding the club sale. They're just doing their job.

The interesting one would be the shirt sponsorship. But even there i don't think glazers will stall a decision pending their own decision around the club sale.

900mil adidas deal signed. No wonder they’re reluctant to sell, there’s still soooo much interest/money in this club, it’s been a real pot of gold for them.

900m still doesn't fix A. The need for stadium and training ground redevelopment. B. The overall debt. What it does do in reality is buy them more time to take dividends.

Their model is to say the exact opposite of what people want to hear to create drama, click bait and arguments, they want you to get angry so you will phone in, spread word or communicate about it.

Don’t rise to the bait.

There was a couple of United fans that called him up to correct him and he just kept going on about the transfer spend and if we were spending nothing and fighting relegation we'd have reason to complain. You'd think in his job he'd do some research before talking about things

Mr White is a Rangers fan, so will obviously have very interesting and financially sound views on how to spend and distribute money illegally within the rules.

Yeah they will always conveniently ignore listening to reasonable points made on Utd ownership

Someone needs to tell the Glazers that after so many months this is the best price they could get for Man Utd. No one is willing to bid higher. Either way they have to decide quickly whether to sell or not.

If they decided to stay the fans should ramp up the protest week in week out. The fans made it very clear that they have had enough of the leeches.

To be fair you could've just said "Mr White is a Rangers fan, so he's a fecking idiot"

Surely Raine Group are getting fed up with the glazer's indecision? 9 months nearly now and Glazers still farting around and seemingly changing the price every time someone gets close to the asking price, as well as it now being 3 months after the deadline for the 'final' round of bids.

It's bound to be damaging their (Raine) professional reputation with how much of a farce this has become.

It's going to have zero negative impact on Raine's reputation

I doubt Raine have done much for a long time. They’ve run 5 rounds of bidding, probably told the Glazer’s that’s the best they can get, maybe given them their advice of what they should do - and left it at that. They won’t be messing around with this until the Glazer’s make a decision, or call a halt.

that logic only applies if they have already decided to take the latest offer on the table

if they are holding out for a higher offer the logical thing to do is keep running the club as if you intend to stay
