Very hard to not go full muppet with this one
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/58359561Cristiano Ronaldo: Man Utd in talks to sign Juventus forward
Manchester United are in talks to sign Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus.
Rivals Manchester City have decided not to pursue a deal for the 36-year-old after considering the matter carefully.
Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri confirmed Ronaldo had said he "no longer has any intention" of playing for the Italian giants.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said Ronaldo "knows that we are here" during a press conference on Friday.
Cavani will likely not play much this year. Look at his impact last year. Now replace that with Ronaldo. That's rightIs anyone actually pleased that this is happening?
We don't need a 36yo Ronaldo. If he tarnishes his legacy by going to City, so be it. Why do we have to offer him a retirement home?

Do you think he'll play off the wing on occasion? He was courting City yesterday which in my opinion is fine. Now he'll declare his eternal love for United. Anyway, as long as he takes James' and Martial's minutes I'm fine.
Do you think it's a bad idea if Cavani is unlikely to be a part of the squad much as looks likely? It's a very different question. To be honest, I think bringing him back is a bad idea.
We are crazier
The scenesI am literally yelling !
I seem to member we were in the CL last season as well, where we ended up almost getting that glorious EL trophyUnited are in the CL pal. Not sure if you follow football.

Nobodies getting a bit of work done todayThis is not happening is it? What a turn around. I’m at work and just stopped working completely and watching this instead now
Yeah I was being harsh tbf. But please fix the biggest hole in the team!Cavani was instrumental for us securing top 4 and reaching the EL final. By no means he was just a diversion.
Oh yes, 100% with you, I would hate to see him at City but it's still risky business and might destroy a 2 year project we have been building here.I do somewhat agree but compared to the alternative - him going to City - us signing him is a no brainier.
Ahh right. The relevance in that is?I seem to member we were in the CL last season as well, where we ended up almost getting that glorious EL trophy
Wtf??? We need a Saul/Neves....this would be a fringe signing..
Fergie 2011 - 2013 football, no midfield just attack and defence.Imagine an attack of CR7, Bruno, Pogba, Sancho, Rashford and Greenwood.
And then you have Matic and Fred behind them
More like dithering board got forced into acting to avoid fan backlash from him joining CityTweet

Yes. Very pleased. If he needs a place to retire, while banging inn another hundred goals before actually doing so, Old Trafford can be his retirement home.Is anyone actually pleased that this is happening?

I’ve been “working” on the same thing since 10am. About to just pack it in for the day.Nobodies getting a bit of work done today
WHY? WE SIGNED IBRA WHEN HE WAS 34 AND HE BAGGED 28 GOALS, DO YOU DOUBT CR7? DO YOU??? DO YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!To be honest, I think bringing him back is a bad idea.
Strongly disagree with that.In CR7 fanboy reality maybe.Never in actual reality.Better player. Yeah he was. So I guess the answer is in reality.
Why Cavani not being part of the squad is likely?Do you think it's a bad idea if Cavani is unlikely to be a part of the squad much as looks likely? It's a very different question.
But but but…… Where would Donny fit in that line up?Imagine an attack of CR7, Bruno, Pogba, Sancho, Rashford and Greenwood.

Romano is more scattergun who has links and is independent(?) — as in, alone, not the ‘paper — so it’s easier for him to stick himself onto things.I'm obviously out the loop then because I pretty much only pay attention to Fabrizio these days. He seems to first to everything and rarely wrong.
