He knows he’s cooked - but won’t accept itRonaldo didn't celebrate with the others, he just took of to the dressing room.
Incredible.
What's his acolytes' take on this?

Of course I'm overreacting, it's the world cup and silly season is mere weeks away. Don't be a party pooper.Off of one good WC game against a very poor side? Talk about overreacting.
I assume you mean final? They're on opposite sides of the draw.Possible Brazil v Portugal semi is mouthwatering
Fair enough.Of course I'm overreacting, it's the world cup and silly season is mere weeks away. Don't be a party pooper.
No, no, you misunderstood. They'll surely give the Portuguese a tough, tough game.Morroco comprehensively beat Belgium, so I wouldn't be so quick to underestimate them.
Yes.I switched off immediately. Did Ronaldo really leave for dressing room while team stayed celebrating?
Did he seriously just walk out?Where did Ronaldo go? Cmon put your country before your individual interests
Yes. With sad and angry face.I switched off immediately. Did Ronaldo really leave for dressing room while team stayed celebrating?
needed to have his heart restarted after his brief cameo.Ronaldo didn't celebrate with the others, he just took of to the dressing room.

I saw him hug the striker who scored a hat trick, and it looked like he was hugging an opposition player. Really awkward.I switched off immediately. Did Ronaldo really leave for dressing room while team stayed celebrating?
Lots of fanbois of Ronaldo in Djibouti, he would love itprobably a good time to tell him it was a qatar and djibouti joint bid and the rest of the tournament will be played in the horn of africa.
Morocco midfield is a bit underwhelming when trying to play forward, if Portugal manage to score first is gonna be painful for Morocco to look for the equalizer... Their plan seems 0-0 and pray to Bono, and maybe some counter attacks if possible.Probably. The surprising part is Switzerland were extremely disciplined and compact against Brazil, but tonight none of that. But then again conceding early meant their game plan flew out the window and they had to open up which is obviously not their strength.
was probably digging his nails in as he did it.I saw him hug the striker who scored a hat trick, and it looked like he was hugging an opposition player. Really awkward.
I noticed it but was like "no come on, he can't be that dumb, this isn't the moment for this"Where did Ronaldo go? Cmon put your country before your individual interests
Yes.

Wow!! He seems to be lowering the bar again and againI saw him hug the striker who scored a hat trick, and it looked like he was hugging an opposition player. Really awkward.
Not possible. A final isPossible Brazil v Portugal semi is mouthwatering
Not sure about him, have a feeling he might flop here, after all he is already 45.Aye that Ronaldo looks good
Interview incoming.Where did Ronaldo go? Cmon put your country before your individual interests
That’s the thing with many of these teams. Had Spain managed to score one and forced Morocco to open up they might have won comfortably. Scoring first matters a lot in the post asthma inhaler defensive strategyProbably. The surprising part is Switzerland were extremely disciplined and compact against Brazil, but tonight none of that. But then again conceding early meant their game plan flew out the window and they had to open up which is obviously not their strength.
Or political pressure from their FA.It would take an actual idiot to start Ronaldo after this game.
Brazil can’t meet portugal in the semis.Possible Brazil v Portugal semi is mouthwatering
Spain should have started Morata, they looked way more direct with him. That’s the thing with many of these teams. Had Spain managed to score one and forced Morocco to open up they might have won comfortably. Scoring first matters a lot in the post asthma inhaler defensive strategy
All Ronaldo has to do is pull some strings in the Portuguese FA. They appealed to get the goal to be stolen from one of their players and gievn to Ronaldo to satisfy the man child's ego.It would take an actual idiot to start Ronaldo after this game.
Losing respect day by day. When Leao scored, he put his hands up in frustration because Leao didn't cross instead.I switched off immediately. Did Ronaldo really leave for dressing room while team stayed celebrating?
Yeah was over as a contest after first goalAs good as Portugal were. Switzerland were so bad. Wasn’t expecting such a one-sided game. Jaoao Felix played some mesmerising stuff though.
You mean final as are in different sides of drawPossible Brazil v Portugal semi is mouthwatering
They froze and Portugal scored first, after that they simply imploded.Probably. The surprising part is Switzerland were extremely disciplined and compact against Brazil, but tonight none of that. But then again conceding early meant their game plan flew out the window and they had to open up which is obviously not their strength.
They have the means to hurt Portugal on the counter, especially on the wings. North African teams also seem to have a knack at playing for their lives once they go past the group stage.Morocco midfield is a bit underwhelming when trying to play forward, if Portugal manage to score first is gonna be painful for Morocco to look for the equalizer... Their plan seems 0-0 and pray to Bono, and maybe some counter attacks if possible.
Hopefully Ronaldo will play. That was utterly awesome from Portugal. The best performance from any team at this tournament by a huge distance; and the best I've ever seen them play at any tournament in my lifetime. They're second favourites now given the draw, and nobody's gonna want to face them.
Second: unusually among England fans, I was always confident heading into this World Cup that we could reach the semis, and I still am. I genuinely think we'll beat France, however hard it'll of course be. But I was also horribly wary, even fearful, of Portugal - and that was before they went up so many levels tonight. Even average Portugal sides are horrible to play against; they have so much knowhow and keep the ball fantastically well. But this Portugal? Yikes!
