Surely Iran can’t be any worse than what they were against England
Mount is a good player but there are better options in the squad.I will stand for no Mount slander today.
I'm Alex Ferguson, Mason Mount is Seba Veron and youse are fecking idiots.
If Mount was starting as one of the front three I'd agree.Mount is a good player but there are better options in the squad.
They'll get another spanking.I fancy Iran to get something out of this.
It is an awful situation for them.Honestly think it’s impossible for Iran to play under the psychological pressure they’re under.
The way I see it they’ll either get something or get spanked. Iran are up there with Japan in Asia but current events are understandably playing in the back of their collective minds. They'll get another spanking.
Danny Gabbidon.Who’s the co-commentator? Sounds like Craig Bellamy.
Not surprising. Because England battered them though, they were deemed cannon fodder. Put some respect on Iran's name.Iran are quite good!
They are a decent side, England played well but disrespectful to just write them off again. They'll get another spanking.
We'll have to agree to disagree then. When I mentioned dull I was also referring to their outdated tactical setup and lack of cutting edge in their play. I don't think it's controversial to put Mexico, Poland, Wales (with retirement Bale), USA, Saudi Arabia and Iran below Senegal (AFCON champs) based on what little I've seen over the past year. Ecuador's football was also surprisingly cohesive and fluid, albeit against a very poor Qatar.
Like I said, today's matches will give us a clearer picture and I'll be happy to change my view.
Sounds noisy on the TV.Will be lucky to still have my hearing at the end of this match
