I wonder if we'd go for him? We have the money to break records and with someone that young and showing this much promise it would be a good investment since you either get profit on your purchase by reselling or the preferable 10+ years of service like Shaw which makes whatever fee paid look like a bargain. That is of course if they live up to their potential.

Sign him up along with Dembele, then we'd have a core of Dembele, Martial, Shaw, Alli, De Gea and maybe even Lukaku/Kane. All who can offer 10 or more years.

His weird aggressive behavior lately have made him play too chaotic on the pitch. Needs to get that calm focus back from last season.

Is he always this casual, laid back and careless on the ball? Even at 1-0 down, he never looked urgent enough, unlike Kane.

He'll never be top class because of his woeful first touch & mediocre control of the ball. Still can't believe he was getting compared to Pogba who's damn near impossible to steal the ball from.

I'd like to say he's caught the hardman complex but from last season it was clear he always had it. Seems to get away with a lot of horrific tackles.

But his potential is bigger than Pogba's. Have you ever seen Pogba flick the ball over the head of an opponent and volley it into the top corner?

I don't see anything wrong with his technical qualities. Not completely sure he's a top class talent, and yes the comparison to pogba is silly, but he's still very talented. His challenge will be that he isn't a great passer nor does he have loads of pace, so he needs end product.

Not only that, but @GlastonSpur claimed that Dele Alli is the bigger talent, and that Pogba would have some convincing to do to be able to get in the Spurs midfield.
What I actually said is that Alli showed more potential last season than Pogba did at the same age. And I also said that Pogba would have to compete for his place in Spurs midfield, which is true.

Who's better than Pogba in your midfield?

He just isn't that amazing. He's a good player, but this always seems to happen where a good young player will hit a bit of form and people decide they're the next big thing.

He's definitely not as bad as he was in the Euros or looked today (his passing was atrocious), but he's not a world beater either. He doesn't have any attributes that make him scary good as a forward player. He's not a midfielder either as he's not reliable enough in possession. So he's just kind of one of them thing players that hover around between midfield and attack, occasionally making themselves usefull, which there is an endless supply of these days.

Arguably Dembele for starters. You think Pogba would just walk in in and replace him? Think again - he'd have to compete.

You might want to see Pogba play in the Prem for more than two games in the Prem against weak or middling teams before you start shouting the odds.

I think he's going to be slightly better than that but I reckon you're fairly close to the truth. He manipulates the ball well but there's probably no outstanding aspect to his game.

I actually thought he was a box to box CM when the hype began, in which case his attacking qualities are more than enough, but given he's an attacker, he needs to have more.

Hes got potential to be the next Aaron Ramsey, who is a good player but not world class and possibly not good enough for consistent league winners.

Ah lads. Delle Alli is a brilliant young player who I'd love to see at United. Has great vision and technique but makes wrong decisions which you'd expect from a young footballer.

The bit about Pogba is a laugh tho. He'd walk into any midfield in the world except maybe Madrids. And eveb then they'd probably change their formation to accommodate him.

Emoticons are cheap. Dembele was Spurs best CM last season. Wait until Pogba shows he can do better in the Prem - two games against weak and middling teams doesn't cut it.

Because the premier league is the deciding factor in who is top class right, playing for juve, one of the top 5 teams in the world before means nothing?

The delusions mostly come from United fans - almost every signing is hailed as world class when they sign ... and then reality hits.

We all know that Pogba's career started with these two games against weak opposition that @GlastonSpur is harping on about, he literally never kicked a ball before that.

The team they are playing for means little, correct. Alli was playing for MK Dons not so long ago.

And Seria A is a piss poor league.
