Is a return to the squad on the weekend too early? In the capacity of a bench role? Or does everyone think he will be unavailable until next week?
SmaRojones are all available so why have Bailly on the bench? Let him get over his disappointment and work hard to break up the Rojones partnership.

Will be interesting to see Rojo and Bailly partnership.

Potentially amazing defense or 2 red cards :D

Crap! Does this mean he's not starting on Wednesday?

Don't see the point in this. He's not been injured, he's been playing

Just wait for the headlines about him being unhappy about playing in the U21s :rollyeyes"

Who's it going to be? MEN? Mirror? Sun?

There are two reasons for him playing in the reserves as I see it, as he has been playing for the last few weeks:
1) Give him time alongside Tuanzabe to try and work on a partnership for a few upcoming games, which would mean Axel has over-taken Smalling in the pecking order.
2) Jose has realised he needs to play Mkhi and Martial and needs Bastian and Shaw to cover for the loss of Morgan and (apparently) Young, and so he needs a new target for his pathetic "big man" routine.

Just seen he went off injured for the reserves, which is disappointing either way.

What?

1. Tuanzebe hasn't overtaken Smalling in the pecking order.
2.

They must be the only 2 possible reasons.

It's like you must be in Mourinhos mind.

He's a full member and I'm not?

EDIT: Sorry, now I see he's not a full member. Let's just keep that way.

Yes, yes, that's it. Number 2. Jose needs a new victim. You got it, that's really brilliant.

Actually, he might have a point. Mourinho wasn't pleased at all that Bailly bailed the last game before he went away (due to his national team requiring him to). And now he could have returned out of shape or without mental focus (he does lose his concentration often).

He made mistake in Everton U23s first goal yesterday, which justified why Mourinho played him there - to get him back up to speed.

When does our first team have their weekly day off (Mourinho's policy)? If it's after the weekend game, then it's understandable for Bailly to play with the Reserve to get back up to speed while the first team rest. In first team match day, Bailly must have missed training too, while not match fit enough to play in the FA Cup game.
