Gaming Football Manager 2015

Although my contract is up at the end of the season and have rejected all deals cos they refuse to pay me more than 20k. I just won you the fecking league dickheads!
Wait you're pissed they refused to pay you fake money?

Yeah, madness, he usually doesn't want to stay with Sociedad. Ridiculous that you can get such a keeper on a bosman.
This 15.3 update is shit. This, the Marquinhos and Digne transfer statuses and the fact that Herrera is still useless for a top team really annoy me.

In other news, I strolled the Portugese league with Porto, only losing the last game to Sporting. Won the Taca Cup too.

I've signed Gabriel Barbosa, Tielemans, Jesus Vallejo, Ewandro, Bakkali, as well as two extremely impressive 15 year old regens from smaller Portugese teams. Sold a load of deadwood from the squad and FCP B as well as Hector Herrera for £25m, couldn't turn it down but left a massive hole in my midfield that I couldn't really patch with a 19 year old and was really shown up in the CL as a result.

Yeah, it's the damn principle! But I'm just bored at Roma, Italian league is a bit dull and United, Barca, Bayern job is opening up

Edit: Scratch that, Barca finally offered Enrique a new deal after winning La Liga 2 season in a row.

Arsenal tried to poach me in November when they were in the relegation zone. Said no and they scraped 17th on the last day. Mancini is their manager.

With Rulli it was always happening tbf, nothing to do with the updates. Also now Kondogbia is usually listed after a season for 2m +/-, and Lucas Silva.

I have save where Silva was listed for 2.5m, but I paid them a bit more over 36 months, so Real are subsidizing his wages to the tune of 50k, and I'm paying 6k, as a just promoted to Ligue One side(3rd season, began in the 3rd div.). Batshit mental.

Now Im gonna start my 4th season with Preston.. I love this save! Everything has work very well. First season I won the League One, Second season I won Championship and also won FA cup final! And Third season I ended in 5th place and won Barcelona in UEFA final!!!

Here is my team
azDPJU3.jpg

I was very lucky to get many of this players last season. Few of them was on transfer list and in DEC/Jan it was takover and I got around 50-60M to spend.

I've got 66m to spend. What do I need to buy to get my team even stronger?

BTW.. Wilson, Perreira and Pearson have been with me from League 1!

I resigned from Roma. I now regret my decision to sign Hernandez on a free from United as it looks like I'll be going there.

Bless Leicester though, offering me an interview just after United. I should be given the job from them instantly then I probably would have actually taken it.

Is there anything I can do to stop my inside forwards cutting in and shooting spastically wide 5 times a game? It's infuriating and you know exactly what's going to happen as soon as they start on the run.

Either the team instruction Work Ball Into Box, player instruction Shoot Less, should help, or the hardcore answer, the PPM "Looks for the pass...", even with the PPM, they'll shoot on clear chances, though!
More or less this.
What roles are your inside forwards and the strikers on?

Bought a 5 star potential 16 year old and subbed him on for his debut. He got injured after one minute, out for 6 weeks. Now his potential is four stars.

That's happened me before and their potential has gone back up once they recover from injury and start playing again.

3 seasons in and I realised my game is ruined. I didn't remove the file to get the real Germany team :(

Maybe your scouts are bobbins and he is an absolute dross, I had a couple like that with atleti. Did you check is real potential.

The stars you see are not fixed though which is what I'm referring to.

The stars means very little, unless your scouts or your coaches are actually good at evaluating a player which depends on the grades you see in-games but also on their overall level who is hidden.
The stars also depends on the level of competition in the team, the players are compared to the best player in a given position.

I'm very well aware of how the stars work but they do mean something so saying they mean nothing is a little misleading. As you have said they help gauge ability when comparing players, which is a useful overview. Your point was slightly contradictory but okay...

They mean little in term of potential, that's what I said, I didn't said that they were useless.

The stars confuse the shit out of me. I bought James Rodriguez and it said he was 4.5 and two weeks later he was 3 and a half and he's just stayed that way despite clearly being better than that.

It's relative to your squad, I'd assume you have a whole collection of worldies?

If so, it's going to be a very rare player that cracks 4 stars, I had a save once, that there were lads 2.5 and 3 star that were considered world class.

I don't really. Got Depay, Pogba and Januzaj who are 4.5 stars and then it goes down from there. Rodriguez was scouted as 4.5 and stayed that way when I signed him and suddenly two weeks later he was 3.5.

Think they just change every now and then randomly, like depending on form or injuries and all that. Doesn't actually mean he got worse.

Back into this for the first time since Christmas. I stopped playing because of the player exchange bug and couldn't be bothered to start a new game.

Holidayed the first season with a December 2014 start and transfer budgets disabled (always do, just to make it a little more unpredictable but keep the teams the same). Picked United - went full muppet and somehow managed the following with just a £65m budget.

In: Varane, Clyne, Welbeck, Kane, Depay, Bale, Modric, Pogba, Javi Martinez
Out: Rafael, Di Maria, Valencia, Fellaini, Van Persie, Young, Hernandez, Nani, Evans, Rojo, Herrera

8 games into the season, had some shaky results but mostly scraped wins and just hammered Burnley 7 - 0 and an excellent 6 - 4 loss against City's first team with my youngsters in the CCC.

I managed to get a fair few of my players at surprisingly low fees. Is this common with the latest update? Modric at £17m and Bale at £40m the most notable.

Comes down to who's providing the star rating and what their 'Judging CA/PA' ratings are. Different staff have different opinions of players. In the scout report it's the scout's star rating, based on his opinion & his rating for Judging CA & PA. Then when you sign a player, the star rating you'll see is your Assistant's rating, which can obviously differ. Sign an AssMan with a high rating in Judging CA & PA for the most accurate star ratings.

Depay is still unreal I see  7 in 7 for me so far.

Edit: ...injured. Sigh.

Is anybody else' cloud storage not working?

Just to check I'm doing it right: save game to cloud, close FM, log out of Steam. Log into Steam on another computer, and it should be there yes?

Went with United

Going to play as 'realistically' as I can. Playing with mainly the players we already have, similar team to LVG etc.

Top 4 are my expectations. Started off without a win in 3 but have put a run together now.

Signed:
Lucas Romero (£12M)
Danilio (£18M)
Arias (£2M)

Gone:
Falcao (Terminated Loan)
Amos (£225K)

Planning on ditching Rafael in the summer so brought in Danilio and also Arias (who failed his permit).
Rooney got injured after 3-4 games and with RVP already sidelined Wilson had to step up and has done so wonderfully, 7 goals in 4 games.

Got a few rules I'm going to put in place to keep the 'realism':
  • Buying a player requires a month of scouting and watching him play at least once.
  • Budget of around £40M a season (Ignoring whatever else they provide me with)
  • No drastic changes (eg. 3-4 major personnel changes a season)
  • Angle towards youth dev rather than buying in talent
  • Philosophy
