Malacia, VDB and DeJong agent Ali Dursun has been clicked with VDB and Lindelof and Carrington today as per VDB and Ali Dursun own insta story. Hoping he is here to get the FDJ deal across the finishing line.

Can't wait until this is confirmed. Him and Eriksen in midfield is going to be night and day from what we've had to put up with in recent years

Can't hurt having him around. Agents are so powerful now. If he wants it to happen, it will happen.

slowly but surely . This is Happening we just need patience , with Him and Erikson we look a very different animal
Still desperately need threat on right side along with a striker now as well, clearly a proper DM is on back-burner yet again

We won't play with "proper" DM. We'll have someone play the disciplined role in midfield a la Schone at Ajax. I imagine ETH will believe he can attempt to fill that void from within the squad or will address it next window.

the striker is a tricky one if Ronnie leaves . Do we trust Rashford and Martial to lead the line ? probably not in all honesty.

Still got that nagging concern about being pushed around without a destroyer in there

We would still need some solid technical options on the right side of the pitch. Hopefully they get that and the Ronaldo issue sorted.

Like I said earlier we will have to sacrifice one of these issues now, yes I don't want to hear that either but it's the reality of it

Was just a sarcastic observation from the outside, Barca players despite not being loved, willing to do whatever to stay at the club, whilst we throw money at players who prefer to leave.... in the words of Paula Abdul, "it ain't fiction just a natural fact"
feck me that’s some spin for a club that has been absolutely fecked to the brink of bankruptcy due to their players wage demands

Where did they blink?
By publicly announcing they have signed a 'replacement', United know that they can't afford to keep both the new signing and FDJ. So in theory they could now reduce their offer and Barca would have to take it.

In reality I think there would be clauses etc written into contracts. They aren't that daft :)

United are well aware that FDj aint accepting any significant wage reduction, that’s why United and Barca began negotiations, they know nothing has changed there for the player or Barca. Barca need him to accept a wage he simply cannot accept else rubber stamp the United deal.
United know this is in the bag.

No point in talking logic, because people will pick and choose what they want to hear.
I've said that from the moment Laporta made his comments. He's setting the narriative that it's Barca or money.

"He's not for sale, we want him to stay but he'll have to accept a pay cut"
- Barca offers him a proposal that they KNOW he won't take
- FdJ refuses the pay cut and Barca tell him he must leave if thats the case
- FdJ leaves Barca, Barca play it as we did everything we could, but he chose money over us, he's a mercenary, he's money focused, he's not interested in the future of the club etc

Win win for Barca, they get a player they don't really want off the books, they clear a huge wage, they get a big hefty fee too.

How the feck are they doing that when they can't even pay their existing players? I'm honestly at a loss.
Well he's signed til 2026. Barca are paying him full wages until 2023, 50% in 2024 and asking him to defer the rest of that until 2026. Absolute shambles of a contract really.

Even you? I’d have thought your patience would be steadfast
Meh. Yeah. I guess it’s just being heavily played out in the media so perhaps I should take a break from it.

I want the player but if he’s not sure about coming and he is the one dithering I’d rather leave it be if I’m honest.
