Backstory is this:

Would certainly tackle a lot of the unrealistic expectations that do damage to it all at that age. Mental health, self worth, consent. Intimacy issues etc.

We could do with being less prudish.

Absolute nonce suggestion.

I'm far from prudish and completely understand the gist of what she's saying but that's a terrible idea.

"Hi, big fan of your work, would you be willing to do a scene that's aimed at minors?"

Chris Hansen would like a word.

Think of it as just sex rather than porn.

Teenagers seeing porn get unrealistic expectations and then ruin themselves trying to match that or get disappointed when their sexual partner doesn’t.

Soft intimate scenes might teach a bit and make it less taboo.

They’re gonna watch regardless so what would you rather they saw?

Not like it’s for young kids either. Just teenagers.

It’s a terrible idea, what needs to happen is reduce the production and consumption of porn.

To be clear, I don’t think they are talking about underage teens making porn. I’m pretty sure it will still be 18+ but a lot more vanilla to not give unrealistic impressions of what sex is, I think.

It’s all a rabbit hole anyway. Soft core leads to hard core, hard core leads to even more harder core and depraved pornography.

She says create porn for them so I think she means use professionals to create something that’s not going to warp young minds into believing unrealistic expectations of sex. So yes, soft core effectively

I’m not saying I agree or disagree. I have no idea if it’s a good idea or a stupid one but felt it needed to be pointed out they weren’t going to use kids to make the stuff.

And I'm all out of bubblegum.
Where do you think a sexual interest in children starts?
You do realize she's talking about making softcore adult porn for teenagers? She's not saying "let's make child pornography".

Are you speaking from personal experience here? So what is the solution, ban all porn? That's never going to happen. You won't be able to keep 14-16 year olds from accessing porn, so you might as well find a way to encourage them to watch something specifically made for them. I don't know how you're going to do that, but either way connecting this to "sexual interest in children" is absurd.

I’m not speaking from personal experience, I’m speaking from professional experience. And there are plenty of scientific studies that say the same. Unfortunately the reality is it’s not quite as absurd as you might think, and just because you have a ‘healthy’ relationship with pornography, that doesn’t mean everyone does. I would argue that any consumption of pornography is unhealthy, primarily for the reasons previously stated.

Do you have any ideas on how to limit exposure then?

Because I've never seen a single idea that would even dent it.
Unfortunately I don’t but making porn even more mainstream certainly isn’t the answee

Yeah it's certainly a tough one.

The best I've come up with is have a number of regular chats with my eldest about the realities of it all, because no amount of parental filters and attempts to stop them will ever work. I have relationship and how to treat each other talks too, his school do a lot on that front with the kids also. So the education is getting better, at least that's something.

Erm…. No. What you’re seeing is the Right start constant culture wars to pretend all the things you listed are important to ‘The Left’. You have fallen for it.

The right talks RELENTLESSLY about shared bathrooms, straws, religion, jokes, genitals. It’s exhausting. The left is then forced to defend human beings across the board. This misrepresentation of the left being a monolithic entity, often shining a bright light on university students as being a great ‘example’…. If you find yourself believing that you’re just plain stupid.

What’s wrong with the world is that an invented war is bought into by so many.
Accurate.

Scumbag.

How do we know that Farage isn't being funded by right wing extremists? Kick him out the country.
UKIP got money from Russian banks linked to Putin and the way he set up funding for the brexit party was specifically to avoid scrutiny.

Also he's a grade A thundercnut.

I lost one of my Twitter accounts for responding with TWAT to as many his ramblings as possible. I didn't bother following him, it would've been too obvious.
But I got slapped for it eventually.
