Where is the connection to Sheikh Jassim?
You will probably argue that the bid is financially backed by the Qatar state but we don’t have any safe proof of that. I mentioned earlier that Qatar is a small country with less than 400 000 native born citizens. Any country of that size needs financial regulations of in and outgoing funds. That doesn’t mean that everything a Qatar born businessman invest abroad is financed by the Qatar state. There’re grey areas that’s difficult to judge and we can’t automatically assume the worst all the time just because the buyers come from a region who practice parts of a religion that we disagree with.
Another point Wummintor.
In Russia, Qatar, ME, China, North Korea and many other places there’re millions of people who disagree with their governments politics. In some places it could be dangerous to voice opposition and unwelcome opinions. Should we automatically call ALL people from these countries for murderers or similar? Be grateful that you can voice your opinion without fearing repercussions. Not all people have that luxury.
