Sorry to hear he is retiring. Was a superb player and I enjoyed hearing his views on football. No idea why he appears to be disliked in here.
Even by your standards this is a goodun

Think when he called Casemiro a “steady eddy” . He showed clearly by that stupid comment he doesn’t watch much football bar Liverpool. Heard from older fans he was a good player. But way before my day so never saw him. As a pundit didn’t offer a lot.
Whilst thinking Hendo is some kind of class player

He wont be missed.

I remember him using a rape reference referring to Vidic/Torres a few years ago on RTE and the presenter shutting him down away and he had sit there in silence the rest of the show without talking. Not sure he was ever on RTE afterwards.

He was a very good player. A hard man too. Unless he was playing against Robbo.

It's all Pogba's fault.

This is my favourite Souness moment.

Possibly the worst pundit of all time and that takes some doing. For a man who played at the top level for so long it’s astonishing how little he knows about the game.

You realise Jermaine Jenas, Michael Owen, Richard Keys and Jamie Redknapp exist right? You can throw a lot at Souness but having little knowledge about the game is not one.

Souness was good at one point. Plus, as shite as he is now, you still listen to him more than the other bland pundits

He was actually pretty bang on, when it came to social commentary. Him speaking out over the Zouma incident, the take on homesexuality in football and his discussion with Micah Richards on unconscious racial bias showed him in a good light.

You can justify that if you're Talksport or a YouTube fan channel but you'd expect better from Sky Sports as they charge their audience a pricey subscription fee. For that kind of money you'd expect their pundits to do their research before going on-air, and maybe even offer the occasional tactical analysis, instead of continuing to employ dinosaurs like Souness so that they can go on the wind up for the bants.
They're getting worse. They keep trying to have viral rants by winding up Neville, Carragher and Keane after their team loses. That stupid argument between Redknapp and Neville got millions of views (despite being an argument over nothing) and they've been featuring YouTubers more and more. Really if you want good analysis, you have to go to certain writers (Jonathan Wilson), the Athletic or some good YouTube channels like Tifo football or, again, the athletic. Sky is becoming more about engagement than actual quality.

His view on Casameiro ended his career.

drama time
That view always baffled me. I think Souness just doesn't respect achievements outside of "our league". He was dismissive of De Zerbi too. Basically anyone who hasn't done it in England has a question mark against them in his mind. Even if they've won multiple champions leagues, Souness will doubt they can cut it against Crystal Palace.

He can no longer commentate on Pogba. And the hunter is nothing without the hunt.

Edit: just realised he is 69. Good dentist.

Souness was a lot of things, but I’ll give him one thing: he had better taste in suits than any of them. You can see he’s a vain man, but nothing wrong with that if you look good at 69.

Graeme Souness's last game as a pundit was with Kelly Cates as the host. Here's a photo of the two of them in 1979.

Good riddance to the cnut
Agree with all these.

A tedious, mean spirited dullard with the on screen charisma of a haemorrhoid and the technical insight of a Brexit voter judging a rap battle.

A superfluous, bitter, miserly anachronism on legs with as much to offer to the modern game as a cave person would offer to the enlightenment.

Ta-ra, dipper.

This weird rant pretty much sums him up.

This is making me think he's been playing some kind of 'performance artist' all this time, that RTE comment was unreal and summing up Bournemouth and Swansea as some Dutch game, man.

I literally would turn it over before and during the match if he was there

The praise for him on here is fecking weird **** behaviour. He absolutely hates United and everything he ever said was anti-United. Which is fine, I don't mind that. But not when you're a paid 'impartial' pundit on SkySports FFS

He's insufferable for sure but I have great respect for him for his charity work.

He's an ambassador for Debra charity (Charity for people like myself that suffer with Epidermolysis bullosa) and he's done a lot of charity work, dinners, meet and greats etc. It's even more heartworming knowing how niche this condition and charity is. So for that he has my respect.
