He’s not really, especially at the very top. More an 8.Why do people keep saying this? Hannibal is a 10!

Today, he played as a 10, with Casemiro and McTominay as the pivot. He’s not really, especially at the very top. More an 8.
Indeed, the key is to earn trust, and after tonight, the manager probably won’t have a problem to put him in again. He’s established himself as part of the midfield rotation which is a first step.Yeah - we know he can do much better than what he showed, but he was still one of the best on the pitch. Played with restraint is how I'd describe it, which is perhaps expected considering he was playing among senior players. The more he plays, the more comfortable he'll get
I saw he played as a 10 today, I just don’t feel it’s the best use of him personally.Today, he played as a 10, with Casemiro and McTominay as the pivot.
If anything, he'll be competing with Mount when he's back, not McTominay.
Agreed.I’m a big believer, although I do think he could have used the ball better on a few occasions. Would like to see him a little deeper.
Our possession is 38.5% against the bottom Burnley!21 passes in 90 minutes?
He did look good, but that is shockingly low.
Not that bad when you realize no one made over 29 passes from the team apart from the centre-backs.21 passes in 90 minutes?
He did look good, but that is shockingly low.
And so I can only comment on what I saw tonight, yet countless people are saying play him instead of McTominay. Makes no sense!I saw he played as a 10 today, I just don’t feel it’s the best use of him personally.
The team as a whole didn't have much of the ball.21 passes in 90 minutes?
He did look good, but that is shockingly low.
And we won.Our possession is 38.5% against the bottom Burnley!
He's definitely PL quality. Good technically and great engine. Seems to cover a lot of ground.Thought he looked solid. Did the basics well which unfortunately is more than can be said for others. No real quality there though from what I can see.
Tragic! Not that bad when you realize no one made over 29 passes from the team apart from the centre-backs.
It makes perfect sense when you consider that we are not commenting only on where he played tonight. I mean, why would anyone want a player to play a certain position exclusively based on where he played his last game, as opposed to his entire career? It’s like saying Bruno is a RW because he played there tonight. And so I can only comment on what I saw tonight, yet countless people are saying play him instead of McTominay. Makes no sense!
Absolutely, skill set screams #8.He’s not really, especially at the very top. More an 8.
He could be a goalkeeper he’d still offer more than McTominayWhy do people keep saying this? Hannibal is a 10!
He's capable of playing both. So far ETH has only played him in more attacking positions in competitive fixtures, but I think most people who have watched him quite a lot think his long-term future should probably be as an #8. From memory his best performances in preseason were in the deeper role.Today, he played as a 10, with Casemiro and McTominay as the pivot.
If anything, he'll be competing with Mount when he's back, not McTominay.
This is it in a nutshell, made a few mistakes on the ball, had one chance to put one of the forwards through and delayed too long, but other than that he was really good. The energy he brought to the midfield was vital, he had a few really important interventions on the edge of our box, and played some good stuff most of the time too.Great engine a bit erratic but was a really positive performance.
I actually liked him being up there behind Hojlund, he pressed intensly and made some good decisions in passing quickly, I am sure he can also do well deeper but I like him up there as wellI’m a big believer, although I do think he could have used the ball better on a few occasions. Would like to see him a little deeper.
Then he will probably be benched in next few matches.According to ETH “Hannibal did a perfect job”
