We keep losing yet its never his fault.

Lost Solanke for the first goal and was generally all over the place.

The sooner he is out of the team the better. His win record is taking a battering the past few weeks.

He also made quite a few last ditch tackles and interceptions when they broke through 3 on 2 or 3 on 3. I was as critical of his faults as anyone but he was the only one doing anything useful that game.

The herd mentality around here is ridiculous. Not too long ago most people here were looking for reasons to blame Maguire for every goal we conceded. Now he has a horrible game and you guys vote him POTM? My god, when will you lot learn to think for yourself and not just agree with whats trending? I like Maguire. I've been one of the few that have defended him over the past couple years. But he was horrible today. And some how he's our highest rated player? Gotta love TheCaf
He Underperformed for better part of 2 years and was saying he was great and that rubs the fans wrong, now he is doing what he is paid to do and getting praise accordingly. Players need to be held accountable and own up to poor play and not talk so much in social media.

He won over the fans by bringing it on the pitch instead of delusional interviews and is silencing his doubters the right way.

Now is a good time to sell or let him run out his contract, and get a replacement on low pay with pace, instead watch us bump that salary and risk a drop back to previous state and get stuck for many more years with an unsellable asset.

He made mistakes this game but also looked like our only competent defender, and thankless task seeing all the wide spaces around our defence

As much of a detractor of Maguire as I am, big man is playing out of his skin. Even popping up at RB when we are attacking trying to provide width. Propbably feels more comfortable knowing that you can leave Shaw one on one and he’d cover it.

I hope its nothing serious. We need him so much, and actually looked like him and Varane worked well together.

We look so much more assured without him in the team. Reminds us of why he was dropped last season.

He’s so slow, he’s constantly flying in to last minute blocks which the media make out as heroic.

Hope we stick with the same team moving forward

There's a reason you're still a noob you know!

God knows Maguire has his limitations but he's probably been our most consistent player this season, and has shown a lot of bottle to win his place back and win back the grudging respect of a lot of the fans.

No need to shit on him after a game he wasn't even playing.

PS he didn't play in the 0-7 last year either, I wonder if you posted about how assured the team looked without Maguire after that game?!

The correlation is undeniable. The less he plays, the better our results.

I think the game yesterday would have been perfect for him. Our CBs didn’t contribute at all to any build up or possession, just old school clearing the box again and again. Exactly what Maguire is good at.

There’s a real world outside your bedroom, go explore it some time
That's real good, maybe you take your own advice because I've probably been in the real world longer than you've been alive

Newport County 2:4 Man Utd
Composed short cameo today.

Man Utd 3:0 West Ham
A mistake with him is always around the corner. 2 today that were close to costing us. Third choice CB in the summer is a must.

Thought he was our best player in the first half - made some important tackles. Second half he had that one shaky moment which almost led to West Ham scoring, but other than that, it was a solid performance.

He is a decent to good PL centreback but he often seems to have a huge error in him. He made 2 mistakes today that really should've led to goals but for Emerson choosing to go for a field goal and Dalot making a last minute saving tackle. Heading still great with the Slabhead, hope he improves.

He was having a good game but in typical Maguire fashion he ruined that good game by mistakes. He gave away a huge chance just before the 2-0. Could very well have been 1-1 instead of 2-0 that moment.

It is a shame he ruins a good game by stupid mistakes. But that is the difference between decent/good defenders and excellent defenders. The excellent defenders hardly make those mistakes that Maguire makes quite often.

Great first half... Probably our MOTM at half time, then had a couple of shocking moments.

They didn't score though so it can still go down as a good game overall?

Comes forward to tackle, loses the ball, fanatically chase back. Typical Harry in couple of instances.

Excellent in the first half, great aggression to win the ball high without fouling, and quick and accurate distribution. The 2 mistakes in the second half were so poor - the first one where he gets caught by Emerson egregiously so (to be fair, the ball to Bowen was incredibly good, but I expect any starting CB for us to cut that out). I know the mistakes will frustrate many, but he has certainly improved this season and he is proving to be a very valuable squad player.

He cost 80 million and is on a rumoured 200k. He needs to be gone in the summer

We should still be looking to move him on as he’s not up to scratch. But I’ve been impressed with how he’s turned it around for himself.

I dont think that WHU players not scoring or Dalot saving Maguire should be taken into account when judging Maguire his individual performance. He got away with his mistakes but that doesnt excuse making the mistakes.

Really good first half, some great passing in particular; horrible mistake in the second half but overall good game from him.

Thought he wasn’t that great really. He’s so slow on the ball I saw Martinez motioning him to hurry up a few times in the first half.

We need to get rid of both him and Lindelöf if we want to be a serious club again. Move on from the failures like them.

This is the exact situation to capitalize on selling him - when he kind of picks up form he's still a liability. Him and Varane should be gone in the summer...

Two big mistakes and another amateurishly preemptive move (where he was facing 2 West Ham players and decided to attack the one with the ball, leaving a glaring gap of space for him to pass into — thankfully the shot that followed was weak)... and people are saying that he had an overall good game?

And now we're stuck with him again.
