What about Montero? Really rate him and doubt we would really have to break the bank to bring him in.

No thanks, We have Shaw and plus I don't think he can do a job upfront. What about Moreno? Really rate him and doubt we would really have to break the bank to bring him in.
He doesnt play because he's bang average!I was thinking this the other day. Might be worth going in for him, as you say, he doesn't play much, at all.
I'd be very surprised if we weren't in for someone. Our attack has very little depth, an injury or two and we may be fecked.
Sorry, Brain fartNo thanks, We have Shaw and plus I don't think he can do a job upfront.
Utterly ridiculous. My sources tell me that we're looking at buying a footballer in the next 18 months but at this point it may or may not happen.
You want more proof? Fine.Utterly ridiculous.
Bizarre prediction. Don't expect an apology. You want more proof? Fine.
The footballer has, at most, two legs.
When we sign this next player I expect a massive apology from you.
So not Lukaku? You want more proof? Fine.

Is that such a bad thing? We've spent an insane amount of money over the past couple of years, but we also cleared out A LOT of deadwood. There is no question that both of those things were necessary and beneficial to the club, and if we can balance the books, well, all the better, no? I mean, with all due respect, you sound like you want us to spend for the sake of spending. That doesn't sound like a well-run club to me, something I would think many fans would want Manchester United to be.are we really going to go through the transfer window with a zero net spend
Possibly and pay off a chunk of debt before rates rise... It wouldn't be a bad idea if the right player is not availableHead says it's option 1, but are we really going to go through the transfer window with a zero net spend ?
This squad can at maximum compete for 3rd placeIs that such a bad thing? We've spent an insane amount of money over the past couple of years, but we also cleared out A LOT of deadwood. And he can play anywhere along the 3 and probably even 9 if we desperately needed him too.Reus would be a great option to have, I`m sure he wouldn't cost so much, plus he seems in great form
He'd cost absolutely nothing this transfer window because Dortmund won't let him go, period.Reus would be a great option to have, I`m sure he wouldn't cost so much, plus he seems in great form
maybe there is some late arrivals then? mmmmmHow can we be letting Hernandez leave without having a backup option.
Even van Gaal isn't that insane. If he leaves then we'll definitely bring somebody in.How can we be letting Hernandez leave without having a backup option.
what worries me is that he is that insane, he will use Felliani, Wilson and Januzaj as backups. I don't see who is available that we could bring in.Even van Gaal isn't that insane. If he leaves then we'll definitely bring somebody in.

Berahino perhaps, don't see anyone else available. Unless Ronaldo isn't happy at Real after going two league games without a goal, surely his longest drought.Wouldn't worry too much if hernandez does leave it just confirms we will be bringing in a new striker, there's no way an experianced coach like LVG will go into a season with rooney and the very raw wilson as our only recognised strikers,
The club will have something up their sleeve.

So not Lukaku?![]()
I don't get this. The papers reporting the bid from Madrid for De Gea are saying we're hoping to get Bale to come the other way. Which is doomed, obviously. I just can't shake the suspicion that Woody is running round after big name players we haven't a hope of signing, because he's desperate to prove he's a big hitter in the market. Which is a crappy way to do our business.
Well he's certainly not going to turn down the likes of Neyman or Bale. I just hope we've realistic alternatives lined up if Van Gaal thinks our squad is sufficiently flawed that we need one of those megastars to win trophies.I don't get this.
Woodward does not CHOOSE the transfer targets. It's up to Van Gaal.
Van Gaal has said he would love players like Muller, Bale and Neymar. I'm sure he's TOLD Woodward to ask their clubs if they would sell. I highly doubt Woodward has gone behind Van Gaals back and started making enquires for big names.
Van Gaal has said a few times now that we lack the world class player. So no doubt he's told Woodward to see if he can get one.
Does anyone really think Van Gaal is going to accept Woodward making signings for him?
We need another attacker. It's not "threadbare in places" at all.You have to ask what the hell are we doing if DDG and Chica depart, as things stand we have a net spend of virtually zero, and have taken about £500 k off the wage bll (after taking the signings wages off), add these two potential departures in and we'll be in profit of £35-£40 million.
The squad is threadbare at best in places, and there is just no time left to anything of significance imo, I just find the whole thing baffling.
That would be a great signing for all parties involved. Don't think it will happen though.Gotta feeling we'll sign a striker, but as a back up to Rooney. Pretty sure Hernandez will be used in a swap deal. Someone like Lukaku maybe.
He was subbed against Spurs yesterday.
Not sure about that logic.Well he's certainly not going to turn down the likes of Neyman or Bale. I just hope we've realistic alternatives lined up if Van Gaal thinks our squad is sufficiently flawed that we need one of those megastars to win trophies.
An upgrade on Hernandez shouldn't be too hard to find tbf.Not sure about that logic.
The train of thought seems to be more along the lines of - happy with what we have got and not going to bring in a player unless they are an upgrade on what we have.
