Sourness
I'm sensing people don't rate him which is weird because on form he's a bloody good footballer.
Not even close. We get it. You hate him.
He's on form 3 times in a season.I'm sensing people don't rate him which is weird because on form he's a bloody good footballer.
Yeah but those three times, its almost orgasmicHe's on form 3 times in a season.
Da Fuq?Yeah but those three times, its almost orgasmic
How much is he paying youI'm sensing people don't rate him which is weird because on form he's a bloody good footballer.
In China maybe. In another Premier League team? more chance of Evel Knievel went through Ethiopia with a pasty on his head.I always ask myself this question: if he was playing on any other team would he have been offered 125k or whatever he is on presently.
Jesse does not help himself though does he? One thing is being shit, ok, we have quite a few shit players, but when you dont even look arsed after not having a single goal/assist in a full year and then you have the whole social media/clothing brand noise outside of the pitch...it really does not reflect well on him or his professionalismWe get it. You hate him.
No he isn't.I'm sensing people don't rate him which is weird because on form he's a bloody good footballer.

He has never scored anywhere near 17 in a season, nor will he ever.Perhaps the club could get the video together of the matches he scored 17 goals in one season to sit down and watch with him to see what he was doing back then, jog his memory a bit.
To be fair though, his typical season of 4-5 goals is not good enough and he's done zero for close to a year now. We should be looking at a new signing.
I think that's very possible. He'll get the rest of this season to force himself back into United's plans but at the moment he should be heading out.We have too many players that need to be moved on and I'm finally thinking Ole is getting the message that Lingard is one of them. He is only making the bench now and that is only due to the lack of good players we have. Periera, (another generally poor player) and the evergreen Mata are played in front of him now, and Lingard was a first team player at the start of the season. The fact that he hasnt contributed to any goal, either scoring or an assist in 2019 is a disgrace for the position he plays when picked.
17 in a season? He only scored 17 league goals for us in total. In almost a decade of football.Perhaps the club could get the video together of the matches he scored 17 goals in one season to sit down and watch with him to see what he was doing back then, jog his memory a bit.

So dont follow him...? What he does on his free time is harmless. Yes its lame, but why care what he does as long as its not political or harming anyone. He also does alot of charity, but he is shit, so we should hate him instead.Jesse does not help himself though does he? Acting like the dogs bollocks when you cant back it up at all on the pitch pisses off fans and understandably so
Exactly this. He puts up stuff on his Snapchat of the game of him celebrating and just having the ball. It boils my blood , you haven’t had an assist since January. It’s embarassingJesse does not help himself though does he? If you include internationals I think he did in 2017/18.He has never scored anywhere near 17 in a season, nor will he ever.
So don't follow the thread then? What people write in here is irrelevant to the form and behaviour of Lingard. It's people generally saying what they see...if you want piety and positivity, I'd suggest the Cafe, especially the Lingard thread, isn't the best place to look at the minute. So dont follow him...? And of course he wants to score or have an assists, but he is so low on confidence that he rather do it safe. Do you honestly think he isnt arsed??
This thread is a joke. Yes he isnt good enough, but the words being used against him on a personal level is childish and embarrassing. Grow the F up guys
He's never been the best at anything. Going by attributes he's pretty mediocre, but there was that period a few seasons ago that he put in incredible effort and played with intelligence. He added something to the team.I'm sensing people don't rate him which is weird because on form he's a bloody good footballer.
When a player is told he'll be sold he should be putting in more effort to either change the managers mind or attract suitors. I think it's more likely a case of a player getting too comfortable. He's playing like a player who has been informed he will be sold. His performances for the last while have been nothing short of embarrassing.
I agree they should be, but he strikes me as the type of player that when the going gets tough, he can't be bothered. When a player is told he'll be sold he should be putting in more effort to either change the managers mind or attract suitors. He's the definition of a player that thinks they've made it, and are happy just being at a big club.
Ever since we gave him his new fat contract he's been awful. He's lost all desire he once had. The club have built him up a bit too much as a "local legend" unfortunately. People like Rio blowing smoke up his ass talking about his world class movement, but never criticising his lack of output or impact on a match.
If the club have any ambition we should be shifting out Lingard and Mata this summer and buying 2 proper number 10's.
Its a thread about his performances, not his social behaviour. His instagram or whatever shouldnt apply in this thread. Or your view of him as a person. So don't follow the thread then? That's not the point. I dont care what he does on social media, and its not like i lie awake at night and bed and is seething while i think about Lingaards stupid videos. In fact i think its nice that footballers have a bit of personality, not everyone has to be A.Valencia or Paul Scholes, but i just cant shake the feeling that he thinks hes "made it" and that in turn has lead him to not work as hard as he should have done which again leads to him severely under performingSo dont follow him...? Yeah, I was surprised he picked up on it but it's been the biggest issue with Lingard in the #10 role, and in truth he's not really a #10, he's more of a SS as his running off the ball is better than his work with it.Savage (of all people) made a comment that is spot on. His first touch is almost always to lay the ball off, it's hardly ever to turn a player or move the ball forwards.
