Yes, all the more so.Is it allowed to be happy they lost given how shit we are?
Just asking before 'how can you laugh at Liverpool when we're so shit' posters come.Yes, all the more so.
I can see Klopp getting the sack if they carry on like this. Such an embarrassing team
They probably want to beat us to get 3 points.I know we're absolutely crap - which I actually stated a few posts up, when I described us as being 'Fecking dire'
The point still stands, that because we are Manchester United, everyone wants to beat us.
If we keep hold of Michael Edwards or even if Julian Ward takes that promotion on Edwards' departure, then our recruitment team remains sound and the good progression continues.I do wonder what exactly might be left behind after Van Dijk, Salah, Mane, Henderson, Thiago, Milner etc get that little bit older after Klopp has left.
Yeah. Bit like 2004-2010 when the likes of Mourinho, Wenger, Fergie, Benitez, etc made this league brilliant.I have always believed leagues go through waves of a high level and a low level
It is cringe, you just made that up in your own head.Every team raises their game when they play Utd, that's why it's often described as the other team's 'Cup Final'
No cringe about it, just the way it has always been, and just the way it will always be.
All that sounds brilliant for yous I'm theory, however Brian Kidd, Steve McClaren, Carlos Quierez and Mike Phelan where all under Sir Alex. None of them made the grade as a top level manager. If we keep hold of Michael Edwards or even if Julian Ward takes that promotion on Edwards' departure, then our recruitment team remains sound and the good progression continues.
We also have decent youngsters in Elliott, Jones, Konate, Trent, Morton, Jota who will take over the senior role in the coming years.
If Klopp leaves then it all depends on who we sign as the manager. Sometimes you get a sense that Pepijn Lijnders is being groomed to take over, and if that happens then Klopp's tactics and philosophy will continue.
Yeah. Bit like 2004-2010 when the likes of Mourinho, Wenger, Fergie, Benitez, etc made this league brilliant.
Correct! It is cringe, you just made that up in your own head.
Trying to make it like Man Utd are different to every one else.
Maybe because there isn't an outstanding manager who fits the criteria, ticks all the boxes and is available to get?Correct!
In more ways than one!
...why do you think Ole is still in charge, when he is clearly out of his depth?!
Gary Neville is that you??!!Maybe because there isn't an outstanding manager who fits the criteria, ticks all the boxes and is available to get?
Maybe because Utd dont want to keep sacking managers?
Maybe because the last supposedly two world class managers Utd got didn't go to plan?
You claiming that everybody tries harder and wants to beat Man Utd more than anyone else is still making me cringe though.
Conte was there for the taking and they decided against it. Mental if you ask me.Maybe because there isn't an outstanding manager who fits the criteria, ticks all the boxes and is available to get?

That doesn't make any sense, I didn't say i wouldn't sack Ole.Gary Neville is that you??!!
Disguising yourself as a Chelsea fan on a Utd forum... nice try Gary!
Buzz off Gary!!That doesn't make any sense, I didn't say i wouldn't sack Ole.
You asked me why Ole is still in charge, i gave you some of my reasons why i think he is still in the job.
Hence why i put questions marks by them.
1. No manager will ever tick all the boxes. It's like not upgrading on Lindelof for years because the perfect CB isn't available. Doesn't make any logical sense.Maybe because there isn't an outstanding manager who fits the criteria, ticks all the boxes and is available to get?

1. No manager will ever tick all the boxes. It's like not upgrading on Lindelof for years because the perfect CB isn't available. Doesn't make any logical sense.
2. Hiring and sacking managers is part and parcel of the modern game. Not wanting to keep sacking managers is akin to accepting your sorry place and ultimate failure. Adapt or die. If you get lucky and get a long term manager who is actually enough, celebrate that but to expect it is foolish.
3. You don't stop aiming for excellence because one or two attempts didn't work out well. Imagine Google refusing to hire a top class ceo because the last one failed. Again it makes no sense. As a top club you have to either hire top managers or managers you feel are about to get.
1. We will always find better managers managers Ole. He is not really that good.1. Has to be a manager Utd want though, no point in sacking a manager without someone who is better and available to replace him. Spurs just did that with Nuno and it didn't go very far. I personally think Pochettino if he was available suits Utd.
2. I know it is, i never said i wouldn't sack Ole i'm saying why i think Utd haven't done so.
3. Because of what happened with Mourinho and Van Gaal it's made Utd a bit hesitant in sacking Ole. Thats why i they didn't go for Conte, he is too much like Mourinho.
Who would you go for if Utd sacked Ole today?.
What did he say?I certainly agree with him on Trump and BoJo.
He said people like them should not be leading any group of people. What did he say?
Damn. I like him a smidge more now.He said people like them should not be leading any group of people.
Definitely. The late early-mid 2010’s, like the couple years immediately post Sir Alex were a bit of a lull in the PL. The last few years have been high, driven mostly by Klopp and Pep.I have always believed leagues go through waves of a high level and a low level (we see the low level of La Liga now) - and I see a slight low level of the PL is around the corner.
12? They should be relegated to the Conference North.Unacceptable. Liverpool should be docked at least 12 points.
Don't think it's Liverpools fault (), Klopp should be made to step down as their managerUnacceptable. Liverpool should be docked at least 12 points.
Those are acceptable terms too.Don't think it's Liverpools fault (), Klopp should be made to step down as their manager
Yes, ban him as a Liverpool manager this season, and let him take charge as an interim at Manchester United.Don't think it's Liverpools fault (), Klopp should be made to step down as their manager

Liverpool have a stand named after the Nile?Shocking. He should be banned from managing any club with a stand named after an African landmark.
Firstly, it was hardly a question and more a judgement. Secondly, what Klopp said was idiomatically fine. Very common parlance when referring to a significant event.Tweet

It's a total non-issue. The phrasing he used is a very common way to lightheartedly correct people who have forgotten something important.Klopp is completely out of line. Sure, we all get the inconvenience, but he shouldn't be looking down on a major international tournament like this.
