They look spent. He squeezed every last drop out of that squad last season.

It must be maddening with all the stats and points totals that they've only won one league title.

Honestly Liverpool’s failings probably amount to less than a quarter of the media noise we get when we’re doing shite.

Might have something to do with the amount of money you've spent since 2013? United should've done much better than they have in the post-Fergie era when you look at the money spent by the club.

This. Klopp is their SAF and cannot be sacked for one poor season, especially the season right after they were so close to a quad. He’s earned the right to rebuild,
Your absolutely spot on, he won’t get sacked In my opinion. In fairness to Klopp he’s been plagued with injuries for one reason or another and any team with VVD always going to struggle even though not played his best football since he got injured by Pickford in the derby.

Mentally Liverpool are fecked from last years exploits and it’s plain to see along with a few pensioners in midfielders that need to hang their boots up.

Klopp still world class and unfortunately can rebuild the side given the chance. If he does leave/sack/walk they go back as far as we did when we lost Fergie.

Yeah, nah. The media have a very clear love-in for Liverpool/Klopp.

It's time for his family/friends to take control and tell him to resign for the good of his health.

Don't watch Liverpool too often, but i've noticed Nunez isn't scoring much anymore.
Just not getting the service he needs?

Why the press love him

He's such a bad loser. All happy, smiley and bubbly when he's winning - will refuse to even answer a simple question if he's not doing well.

After their amazing couple of years, it sure does feel good :D

He’s getting chances but his finishing is all over the place.

Jude Bellingham must be mad if he considers liverpool as a viable transfer location this summer.

Will be interesting to see if klopp can turn this around.

I suspect he will suddenly stop answering their calls after this season.

Is it possible to refund the Istanbul tickets that Klopp explicitly promised? Asking for a friend

United are just a much bigger club.

Was busy all afternoon and didn't get a chance to check any scores. Actually laughed out loud when I seen they lost 3-0. He can't be there much longer surely? If not imminently then at least in the summer

weird, always found James Pearce to be for Liverpool what John Cross is for Arsenal, nauseatingly one eyed in his takes

He's scored 10, which is sort of respectable. But it's the fact the miss count has been sky high and some of the chances have been horrible sitters.

A good manager builds a team and wins trophies/league titles.
A great manager rebuilds and keeps teams fresh to be able to challenge for titles/trophies year in year out.

That’s what in my eyes makes Sir Alex and Pep great managers.
Klopp has done exactly the same at Liverpool as he did at Dortmund and hasn’t yet shown he’s a great manager

Does he ever try to change things? Seems like it’s always same formation, same tactics, same result.

Long may it continue.

He is talking gibberish these days.

He’s done a pretty good job over the course of his tenure but the trophy count is not that impressive really (yes, yes, better than us in that period).

How low do Liv need to finish for him to be sacked or resign..?

It might be down to, the liverpool staff not being able to hyper dose the players with caffine.

There comes a point when you need to take the players off it otherwise they risk cardiac arrest.

If they have been hyper dosing for past few seasons, a cycling off season will affect their energy levels, reaction times etc etc.

Some useful links about hyper dosing with caffine. The author wrote specifically about liverpool doing it under klopp. But other clubs and other sports do it as well. The links are good reads.

He's unsackable in my view, just like SAF was. The job he's done at Liverpool is absolutely outstanding and there are no better managers out there for them to get.
