Why are they not identifying the other people in the plane?

The five people were on board the helicopter when the incident happened. While formal identification has not yet taken place, they are believed to be Leicester City Football Club chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, two members of his staff, Nursara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare, pilot Eric Swaffer and passenger Izabela Roza Lechowicz.

The force has been working to ensure that all the relevant next of kin had been informed prior to this information being confirmed publicly.

According to what I've just seen, Eric and Izabela are the two crew members.

Really terrible. Just shows you how fragile life is, here one minute and gone the next. Will be very difficult for the families to come to terms with.

Support United but live in Leicester. He had brought joy to a city that has been unimaginable, and nothing will come close to it.

Very sad and tragic. RIP

I was in the hospitality at The King Power yesterday, I saw the Helicopter land on the pitch and there definitely was something not quite right with the way it landed. They have recently installed a new giant screen in one of the ends and it looked as though the air pressure differences was causing a huge imbalance. The helicopter looked as though it was being spun and dragged to the screen and ended up landing in the middle of the half rather than in the centre circle as usual.

We spoke about it landed and brushed it off as one of those things, but from where it went down it looks as though it could have caused similar issues on the way up, causing him to overcompensate.

Absolutely shocking incident and the whole county is in mourning.
That’s an interesting threory. I’m going to rewind BT’s live coverage from yesterday to see if I notice anything odd about the landing or taking off as they usually show it live

Here’s the new big screen:

It doesn't make sense though. Helicoptors are forever landing and taking off from non symmetrical areas?

The players' reactions to the news seems very sincere. Sounds like a lot of them had a pretty close relationship with him.

Not really for me to say, but speculating on this kind of stuff & then writing about it doesn't look great imo.

There's no good gonna result from it anyway is there?

OK then,

weather
pilot error
mechanical failure

or a combination of 2 or all of them, unlikely to be just the weather

not going to be anything else

but it still won't take us anywhere good to speculate

(probably NOT the new screen) imo

At a time like this other things don't really matter but I find it even more saddening that the majority of the UK media including BBC and Sky are reporting that Izabela was simply a passenger, likely because she was a woman.

That helicopter requires a crew of 2 and she was in fact a co-pilot and partner of Eric Swaffer.

More on her: https://london.mfa.gov.pl/en/news/polka100/izabela_lechowicz/ for anyone interested.

My thoughts are all with the families afected and the city of Leicester. May all the deceased rest in peace.

It's more than sad. I wondered for a minute there if part of the silence and the persistent mention of "one unidentified passenger" was the Chairman having a mistress.

They should clarify that, absolutely.

There was a random mention of drones yesterday. Witnesses mention the tail propeller (?) stopped working so that's a more plausible angle than the giant screen.

Everyone seemed to be impressed with how quickly the police were onto it, which they would if their own drones crashed into a helicopter.

And quite keen to keep it quiet I would have thought.

(OK, let's go for it, what does anyone else think?)

Surely the police were there quickly due to it being a football match so there were already on site rather than having to be called? There was some disorder between Leicester and West Ham fans after the game apparently so adrenaline was already running high.
