I've been following the fourth season on FX, and it seems to have lost its way in terms of being a comedic show. Still good television, but the laughs are few and far between this time around.

Great eps, that line in the first one by Pamela cracked me up:

- I just thought maybe I could take you out.
- Take me out of what? My comfort zone?

Really nice development of their relationship over those 2 episodes.

I loved it when he pressed the button at the art show  I've watched that scene about 5 times it's still funny as feck.

I preferred this when it was a comedy.

Changing the race of his wife was an odd decision as well.
I'm just catching up on series 4 and noticed this with the episode where his youngest daughter jumps off the train, thinking she's still dreaming. I was completely thrown by what was going on. I thought it actually was a dream at first.

Football, bloody hell.
It was always surreal. His mother has changed several teams. His agent was a 12 year old.
Yeah exactly, it's filled with random little elements like that that go against the norms and things Louis just finds funny. The garbage men all smashing their way into his bedroom in S4 was brilliant

Yup it's just very difficult to categorize, but I think that's what makes it great. I could understand people hating it though or just not "getting" it.

The latest episodes, with Pamela, have been quite funny again though.

First episode of season 5 is out. It seems like the show is going back to its comedic roots. I laughed a lot more than I did through most of season 4.

That episode had some great moments, my favorite was when he was sitting next to the woman and Jim Norton.

I know he was in last season too but Charles Grodin got old, holy balls.

Look at the state of the comments section though, sad fecks get offended about anything.

Going back to the segment it felt more awkward while he was speaking about racism with the 2 black guys stood right over his shoulder
 I think that made it more entertaining. That particular bit wasn't exactly edgy but I couldn't help but sit in suspense as I watched their reactions.

I think he's brilliant. Best comedian there is currently. I am curious how much Lorne and the cast knew about his monologue beforehand.

Hoping victims of Child Molestation managed to miss the disgusting SNL monologue of #LouieCK #sodonewithim @nbcsnl #sexabusenotfunny.'
That's a tweet from the article. So this person was fine with Louis CK up until this point yeah? All the other jokes in his previous sets were just dandy.

I hate these modern comedians, they'll never top the greats of the past. Bring back Mike Reid and Chubby Brown!

 That f*cking name.
