The gist of it, is that some fans want to turn the club into a nursery instead of a football club. They act as if we are Southampton who make a name for themselves by churning out young talents and selling them for a profit.

Its almost as if they think of these young players as their own children. Don't say mean words to them, and play nice or else it'll hurt their feelings and they'll throw a tantrum and stop performing.
My thoughts exactly.

Shame, United will probably sell him for a pittance next summer. Mourinho not only doesn't rate him, he has a personal vendetta against him IMO. When Mourinho signed as United manager he said the first things he asked Shaw in his first training session was 'well why didn't you sign for me at Chelsea?'. He didn't say it in a joking way either although Shaw says otherwise.
Then why is Shaw still at the club? Mourinho has been here for over a year. Also, how do you know what way it was said?

Ya. I heard that Mou locked him in the locker room all night and turned the heat off after Spurs match. Shaw had to burn his body fat to keep himself warm.

He said he wants to re join with his former manager Pochettino, is it a come and get me plea? Right now?
Well, there is nothing wrong wiht saying that.
Shaw needs to think about himself and be more ambitious. Playing for the U23 team at MUFC isn't anything to brag about.
Like Memphis before him, he needs to be courageous and tell Jose to either play him or move him to another club.

If he continues to remain shit, he simply won’t get a successive run of games. The odd chance he does get, he has to impress. Otherwise continue to be a bit part contributer and move on.

The comment by Mourinho was banter  I really hope there was some white text, this is getting more and more silly.
Every time I think I have seen enough of Caf to never get surprised by anything anymore I read a new comment that's even more impressive. This place never fails to impress or surprise me.

Should start this game. Maybe one of the easiest game we will play in some time and almost nothing to lose.

If he doesn’t start this game he may as well start packing his house up.

With risk of looking like a muppet....... There is no chance he starts today. Players like, Blind, Darmian and Axel need game time and are ahead of him in pecking order. I'd rather see Shaw than Darmian and Blind as I am a Shaw fan but I just don't think it will happen. I'd be happy if he got 30 minutes and could give a good account of himself...... This might be a possibility

I can kind of see starting Blind ahead of him - somewhat part-time LB specialist that he is. But I just don't get the Darmian thing. I honestly think Shaw offers more sitting in the stands attacking-wise than the Italian. His inability to do anything of note with the ball is almost an art form.

I just don't get the downside of giving Shaw a chance. It's not like he'll be displacing an established first XI player - we've had 4 different players competing for that position. It's not like he'll do worse than Lindelof did against Huddersfield, but he still gets second chances.

Just bizarre.

Looks like he will go on loan as per some newspapers today. Will do him good. If he plays 6 months regularly maybe we can then see the best of him.

Better off giving mitchell a start, Shaw clearly hasn't got the application to make it
Shaw I thought loooked an Awesome prospect plus I really liked the look of Mitchell at left back. To think neither will be our left back is depressing.

The guy needs a personel trainer like lvg appointed one for him to get back to shape and form after first season to comeback to form. Its crucial that we need him as an option as soon as possible.

Blind, Darmian and even Young are more likely tonight. Shaw's out the door as far as I'm concerned, wasted talent.

I do. He will cost us goals. Darmian and Blind may not be the second coming of Roberto Carlos but they can both defend and play to the system.

Do we really need him though?

What bar 8 games or so he was good in, has Luke Shaw shown whilst at Man Utd that proves he's better than Blind or Young?

Yes we need him, not just 8 games he did well at the end of last his first season too in parts.

You can't rely on young for every game , and blind is also a limited player in attacking sense and the attack gets compromised.

The ultra negetive attitude of the fans towards him is not justifying at all, he needs games for confidence and form.

I'm sorry but throughout his time here he's been nothing but a waste of money.

A lot of United fans on this forum hate Di Maria, but we haven't wasted as much money on him as we have Shaw.

Shaw has been either injured or overweight and unfit for the vast majority of his United career. Inexcusable.

There is no point to him being at the club anymore since it has become pretty clear Mourinho has no intention on playing him. He needs to go in the winter even on loan right now it is a waste of everyone's time.

The injuries he has had were unlucky contact injuries , unlike a poor Phil Jones who broke down during to fitness and lack of proper recuperation, so stating his injuries all the time as a reason is very harsh an a unjustified.

As per his fitness and weight is concerned ,yes it's an issue but you'd expect that with a broken leg for a year of absence.

We don't know what exactly goes on behind the scenes because he is hardly played , but I have only seen him make mistakes twice Defensively where it costed us.

With the right attitude and training and diet he can surely deliver.

obviously wasn’t, bar Schweinsteiger.
Yet out of all of them bar Schweinsteiger, Shaw is the only one who can't get a start to save his life even when fully fit. Shaw had one good game and even contributed towards a goal and the manager said afterwards that he had to direct his play, that he can't 'think for himself'

I think that's the issue. He's not fit enough for Jose's team.

I don't have a personal vendetta against shaw - but I haven't seen enough of him to want him gone or to want him to stay.

However; I have always said during his so called best and only period at United; his performances were overrated by alot of us I think; I didn't think he was that good - looked still like a player 5 years away from being consistently good at what he needed to do and what we needed him to do.

On the other side of things CBJ came in for like 5 matches and was up and down that wing playing some crazy crosses that Lukaku would have loved but he isn't getting a game on loan (personally I think that's because he doesn't suit FB compared to WB but not watched him there)

Should use this international break to get up to speed and should really be given the nod to start both the remaining ucl games and cup games and an odd epl game.

He's been fit to play for almost two months, if he's not ready now he won't be in two weeks either.
