Nah the league is actually good to watch in general. Don't let this clown ruin football for you altogether, he's already ruined watching United as it is.
Yep. Or you could watch a better league like La Liga to get your football fix. There's been countless times this season where I've watched Real or Barca because I feel short changed by the 'performance' we've given.

Exactly. He's already made watching United an arduous chore but there's still plenty of good footie to be watched.

So why do we have to wait until the end of the season to give him the boot? Would being managerless for 5 games be worse than this? Let the team play on instinct, and not Vangleball.

He's probably got a clause, like Moyes, that means we can sever his contract at a reduced rate if he doesn't qualify for the CL. I imagine we will wait for that to be mathematically certain first.

Glazers !!! this is feck allto do with them , they have given Moyes and LVG the money to buy , they have just wasted most of it , blaming them is just wrong.
Really?

Without wishing to derail the thread, I would say the current mess is largely due to the Glazers, specifically their failure or refusal to do the following:

1. Invest in the squad when United were dominant (between 2009 and 2011) and so ensure the next manager started with a strong squad.
2. Ensure Ferguson gave plenty of notice when he intended to retire (I know he has cited his wife's mother's passing as the reason for his retirement, but come on, how many other big companies would allow someone to leave with little or no notice? My partner's dad is the boss of a major company and he had to give 12 months' notice when he announced he was stepping down. TWELVE MONTHS).
3. Ensure David Gill stayed on to oversee the transition to a new manager.
4. Find a CEO with knowledge of the football industry, rather than a corporate stooge.
5. Dismiss said CEO when it became clear he was out of his depth.
6. Dismiss both Moyes and LVG when it became clear they were ballsing everything up.

I agree that we have spent a fortune over the last two years, but that should have been happening years ago, and the owners' catastrophic lack of football understanding is demonstrated by the fact that the two most important positions in our club are now held by men who are patently not up to it.

100% just trying to get a reaction, I've got a 6year old daughter, who is less of an attention seeker than you. Get a grip.
Yes, because it's totally unrealistic to want one of the best managers to stay. If you look at the voting there are some of us out there. I'm just a loud person, that's it.

So you think that 1-0 score lines, 5th place, aiming for the 4th place trophy in both seasons of his tenure, amongst a whole bunch of other things, is the mark of a great manager?
I'd love to hear your reply to this.

People are not convinced he'll be sacked after the season, it's not more complicated than that. Nobody would've had a problem with him sitting there with his notepad if his successor had been announced.

I think most realize that sacking him now, just for the sake it, would be pretty pointless. He's proven himself capable of presiding over the odd win here and there. With some luck we could even stumble in to a 4th place finish. But, again, the reason people are moaning and wailing is that they're worried about him being here next season. Which is understandable. I'm not 100% convinced he'll be replaced either.

Obertans #1 fan.
I too blame the Glazer's for not forcing Sir Alex Ferguson to stay at the club against his wishes after the death of a member of his family. How many other humans in the world would have forced someone to work in an insanely high pressure job against their wishes after giving two decades to the club!

We've scored 25 goals in our last 24 PL games. To put that into context, in the same period:

Villa: 15
Norwich: 21
Newcastle: 23
Palace: 23
Swansea: 24
WBA: 24
Manchester United: 25
Watford: 26
Bournemouth: 29
Stoke: 29
Soton: 30
Sunderland: 31
WHU: 32
City: 34
Chelsea: 35
Leicester: 38
Arsenal: 39
Liverpool: 42
Everton: 42
Spurs: 49

The teams behind us are fighting to stay up (or in Villa's case, gone down). For 4/5's of the season, we've shown relegation standard form.

You know what I can see a lot of very angry fans in the summer, because I firmly think that he will be here next season.
I hope he is not, because next season will just be same again.
I believe it shall be worse next season if he is still here, because the likes of Chelsea, City and even Arsenal will most likely improve and leave us further behind.

Never seen a more soulless united side in my entire life. We're like zombies now, and not the menacing kind, we're the kind that just sits there waiting for decay to take its course.

United games used to be the highlight of the week for me, now it's just a chore.

Should we shut down the forum til summer then?
There is other topics in the forum last time I checked

But hundreds of "is he gone yet" "why isn't he gone yet" after every game, win lose or draw is really fecking pointless

19 more votes as of writing and "sack him now" will have 1000 votes.

Surely some of the people who have been silly and voted for anything else can change your vote now?

Precisely. I find the over-the-top hysteria of some posters mildly annoying, as per usual. But far less so than the over-the-top "amusement" some express at others discussing what should happen to LVG, and which course the club should take. What is the purpose of this place?

Posting match results? Saying "let's just wait and see" in fifty different languages?

I'd be surprised if we sacked him before the conclusion of our FA Cup run, even if CL becomes mathematically impossible.
Yeah I agree. But now I think he will 100% go at the end of the season. He had to get top 4 to have any chance of staying

we are a very poorly managed club. I mean at board level. That all the chaos of the last 3 years has happened is ridiculous.
It's completely true. Our upper management structure lags behind today's top teams. Sir Alex provided so much - we failed to recognize see that simply replacing him with just a manager would never be enough.
