Did feck all before he got sent off unfairly.
We won’t miss him in the slightest for the next two games.

Didn’t do anything for the first goal no?

Just as well we have Antony to come back on the right. Famously productive so far in his United career.

One semi decent pass.
Yeah that’s the 350k right there
So he didn’t do “feck all” then. I’ve not said anything about his wages or justifying them.

How many semi decent passes has Antony played this season, who is also on a massive wage? Even in Rashford’s worst form of his career, he offers more than Antony.

For the ones claiming he was shit before the red? Honest question: Was he really?
He participated in a few little passing sequences that came about because McTominay seemed to realize that he can actually run into space and participate in midfield when his teammates have the ball.

Otherwise it was Rashford's typical half-hearted pressing and jogging around looking like he'd rather be doing something else.

Antony is a complete waste of rations . Get rid asap.
That does not excuse rashford poncing about and doing feck all in this game.
I don’t want rashford or Antony anywhere near the team at the moment.
Pellestri or amad once he gets fit.
Rashford not fit to wear the shirt at the moment (and for the entirety of this season thus far)

Rashford out, I've had enough. Also play ETH on the right, Garnacho has to start.

The guy isn't using Antony as a comparison. It's like saying he's done more than Amad this season, for the sake of it.

It was a good pass, but it was AWB and McT that did the work for the 1st goal. Otherwise he really did feck all

Well that is the comparison because that’s who will be playing at Galatasary

There’s no evidence Amad can produce at this level yet and Pellestri is clearly miles off what we need, despite some flashes of pace against tired full backs.

Exactly. He’s one of the highest paid players in the competition and he was one of the quietest players on the pitch

“Decent performance”

it’s mad how our fans will watch someone they like jog around game after game and pull out of everything and call it ok and then slate the honest but more technically limited players who really give it their all for the fans game after game but are being let down by the talented players not working hard enough or being too selfish.I don’t know how or why we keep getting these moody attacking players

I cannot think of another professional footballer who refuses to challenge for headers when they are there to be won.

Scandalous that Rashford does it every match without fail.

20 minutes it took him tonight, but then it happened... outright refused to challenge for a header. Pathetic from him.

There was one moment when he didn't challenge for a header and the ball bounced behind him, he then turned around and shirked out of another header, summed him up as a player.

Honestly don't understand how some people don't see that he is the biggest example of the flimsy weak mentality of this united team. One of the first to down tools, looks good when there's no pressure, cracks under it, plays for himself rather than for the team. When he is the starboy of the team you got no chance of winning anything Major.

Apparently can't appeal the red card. So a 2 match suspension and miss the remaining group games?

Obviously the challenge for the red card was unintentional but they've been consistently given as red cards since var has been introduced.

I think everyone knew the red was coming when we first saw the replay of the incident.

Perhaps as he's been awful this season but possible replacements has been poor also and probably even less likely to score or create a goal in the final two group games.
i’d like to see Garnacho start for a change. He’s been getting some minutes but not enough to have a proper assessment on him. Marcus on the other hand has been way below par since the start of the season unfortunately.

Thought he was doing well until that. Made a class out to in run and eriksen refused to pass, would have been a 1 v 1 with the keeper.

Bad day all round.
Given that his form goes to shit every time he has a tiff with his Mrs, or his hair is out of place, or he can’t find his Rolex, or someone gives him a funny look expect new levels ofcrap from him now, accompanied by sancho-esque leaks to the media about how Barca/psg/the United Nations really want him and eth is a big meanie and everything is so unfair boooooo hoooooooo

It remind me a lot of the 'move' Pogba got in trouble for, in fact sent off at least once, maybe twice for. While shielding the ball is good (if questionable at that position on the pitch) it is kind of unnecessary to stick your leg out that high to initiate the block. And it's can be dangerous, the Copenhaven player is pretty lucky not to have damaged the ligaments in his ankle there.

It's just dumb imo, obviously not malicious.

What I don’t get is why this hasn’t been coached out of him. Why hasn’t the manager told him “you give everything every match (e.g press relentlessly, track back, challenge for headers and 50/50’s) or you don’t play”? This isn’t rocket science.

Though he played well before the ridiculous red.
And for people shouting for him to track back etc, he had just won a tackle outside our box before the red, so was tracking back and putting in a shift.

It really is shocking. Like it's beneath him to do the dirty work.

Getting kind of tired of this constant pendulum of Rashford's performance and contribution level. For the last 3 or 4 seasons, it feels like he has swung from brilliant to dogshit.

These are his prime years. He's supposed to deliver consistent, high level performances, if he wants to be considered one of our main men and remain one of our best earners.

Just watched the replay of the incident leading to his straight red. IMO it is a ludicrous decision. A straight red 100% not worthy. Yellow card at worse.

The victim of a vindictive referee decision, hopefully Rashford hits the next gear from here on out.

One example. It’s becoming like a cult at this point.

This time you have to feel for the lad, truly awful Var decision without context. Needs a good game Saturday but Garnaucho, Hojlund and Rashford was leagues above having Antony in the starting line up.
