Let him go for free while West Ham offer him an acceptable contract.
Financially it's possible since his transfer fee has been well amortised. But you can imagine the blowback it will cause if he scores 15-8 goals in his first season there?

United's reputation would be damaged... and not so to mention even the most ardent Martial haters would spin around and moan about how stupid Murtough was to let go of a clear & obvious talent who is now just heading into his prime years''!!

We know the talent is there but ... what if... which is why its always easy for fans/caftards to moan but when you are managing a business such as United's it's very very difficult.

It’s easy to be CEO of a FTSE 100 company in comparison -- Manchester United was the most public private company around. It’s in the news every day. It’s full-on, 24/7, and then the games at the weekends.

He'll be 28 in couple of months. I would like if he'd stayed and suddenly had a season of his life, but I lost the hope.
It would probably be for the best if he left.

For Martial FC who still have hope - last season was the end of his time here, and he is never going to hit his potential for us. Let it go mate!

He had his chances but I don’t think he has a desire or work ethic to remain injury free. He clearly doesn’t do enough to manage his injuries and even when he is fit, it’s not clear if he has the desire to excel.

He would be very successful in a team which is expected to finish mid table - with 50% good games and rest crap games

He’s just a player that has very little drive. Any sign of competition and he starts sulking and not performing. It’s no surprise his best seasons have come when he had a starting spot guaranteed.

This is such a simplistic take and Been debunked so many times but still gets regurgitated , like facts just doesn't matter anymore .

At this point, no matter you are Martail lover or hate (forget all the arguments over the years, just let them go), the best case scenario is that West Ham get him off of us so we can save the wages bare minimum (but only if we can go and get some late loan or signing).

28 now? He was the most expensive teenager when we signed him.
Utd: Please move him on and replace him with someone useful and reliable.

You mean the facts where the guy can’t stay fit, is costing around 180k per week minimum and can’t be relied on?

This is why we are in the position we are today. We hold onto players hoping they might get good, they might fulfil their potential, that the one stand out season they had 4 years ago might get repeated.

yes we could let him go and he goes on to get 15 goals, you could say the same for Lingard, or perreira, two opposite examples, Lingard did nothing for years and carried that on at forest. Andreas on the other hand couldn’t do it at United and has gone on to be good at a mid tier club.

martial has had opportunities after opportunities, even going to another club and doing nothing.

I think it’s irrelevant anyway as he is not getting shifted unless we pay his wages or part of.

This isn’t going to happen. If they get Maguire, McT and Martial they’ll win the league

Someone show this post to Moyes please because if he’s gullible enough to buy Martial and believe he will stay fit, he’ll believe anything.

Not surprised West Ham are interested, he’s had some of his best performances in a Utd shirt against them over the years!

That is a fact, yes. But it’s not a fact that he has no drive. He’s just not demonstrative. I’m sure his injuries don’t help his mood but motivation is not his problem.

Alex Crook used to be reliable when he was a reporter mainly for Southampton / South coast stuff, finding his own information. Now he is a presenter on Talksport he tends to just read out what he's told (Talksport sources) and has become a lot more an aggregator, collecting information from others as a round up like BBC gossip page or Sport Witness. It's an easy nothing tweet for him with no back up information / detail.

Everyone knows Martial is available for a fee £15-25m, so we have some money to buy a fit replacement. The issue is will he get injured walking from the car to the hospital for his medical and is anyone stupid enough to pay. If we really wanted rid, he could go on loan for a portion or all of his wages. It's the last year of his contract and we would be done with him. Therefore its 99% likely he will stay.

Pretty sure we'd let him go for much less.

In any back up situation I‘d rather play Rashford or Jadon or even MG as a striker.

Would be a lovely summer closing to get this guy out the club!

no chance of that, he couldn’t even score in la liga which is a far easier league.

If West Ham take him as well as Maguire, I'll officially consider Moyes to be among the greatest United managers of all-time.
