 He’s just such a good footballer. We kind of underestimate how good he is.

*Get rid of this slow mo now the theatrics are over.
Exactly. He’d of contributed massively to us, he can also take on defenders which is what our other wide players struggle to do. We’ve lost out on at least 10+ goals this season.

Greenwood hasn't kick a ball in one and half year and still has better decision making than Rashford.

Got past his defender twice and won 2 corners.

Getafe scored on the second corner that he won
Osasuna is afraid of him. They almost panic whenever he has the ball.

Getafe do play very narrow. So he will learn a bit by playing in a different system.

He definitely has a lot more to offer. That clean break that, if he was fit, he would have beaten his man and be in a one-on-one situation with the goalie.

Definitely lacks match fitness & sharpness. Hopefully he gets an education there.

Don’t think Amad posting about him on IG is too wise a move. Can’t imagine the club being thrilled about that.
Showing support for a teammate? Arnold must be choking on his pint

Maybe it's just Osasuna who are extra shite but he's toying with their defenders. He'll tear up that league once he's match fit.
Was thinking the same. Guys been in hiding for almost two years and still glides around with the ball.

RedCafe is a place where you can wish the best for a domestic abuser. Lovely.

Ok. How about we wish the best for the victim then if we gonna act so high and mighty?
Oh ya the victim is now his wife and childs mother and its in her and their family interest that he does well and they all live a normal life.
So there. We wish the best for the victim.

Anyway really happy for him. Hope he dominates La Liga. I believe in redemption, second chances etc.
No one should ever be written off.

Whats going under the radar here is his mental toughness. The whole situation would have broken many.
He put his head down realising how undesirable he is etc and he just trained and worked on his game apparently. Many would have be broken

He looks sharp. Making some great runs but unfortunately no one at Getafe is picking him out.

I can see why United were reluctant to part with him.. top left footed RWs are as rare as anything in football currently.

I don't understand why you are interested in the scumbag. Let him rot out there.
Here’s some advice, don’t come to this thread if you aren’t interested in discussing Greenwood’s loan at Getafe. Some of us are interested in how he does and wish him well.

Well you can see from a football point of view why Ten Hag was more than happy to welcome him back.
Unfortunately, he's at a club that makes important decisions on talented footballers based on what people like Crafton writes

Lot of thirst for this guy to be good. Weird.
Greenwood being good at football isn't a matter of thirst or wishing.

They're as entitled as you are to offer their opinion about the scumbag.

Greenwood "unfortunately" is still the greatest talent the academy has produced in recent time imho. Everything else aside him not being able to play has hurt us a lot. And yes im dead serious.

Well done Greenwood - takes a lot of guts to face trial by social media. Guilty til proven innocent in todays Facebook inspired society.
Keep your head up - a season from now UTD will be begging you to play for them. Club wanted him back but the brand said no.

He wasn't offering his opinion on Greenwood. He was questioning why we were talking about him. In a thread dedicated to his loan at Getafe.

Here’s some advice, don’t come in this thread if you don’t want to read opinions that differ to yours. This isn’t a Greenwood fan forum.

Even if that’s the case, it doesn’t mean that fans should just blithely accept him playing for United.
Why?
Are you suggesting that anyone makes mistakes or even do criminal act, shouldn’t be given a chance? Just let them rot or be eliminated from this planet?
Those out of jail or correction center should be abandoned by the society? Is that what you advocate?
Man utd as an important, impactful global institution, should take the social responsibility to demonstrate we give them that chance to correct their wrongdoing and become better version of themselves.

You don't have to accept him, doesn't mean that others are not allowed to think differently to you?!

Absolutely thrilled to see him back playing competitive football. Even if its not for us. I'm sure he's been through the ringer the last while and has paid a price for his unacceptable behaviour so hopefully he's learned from it and will be a better husband and father from it. From a footballing point of view however it was a pleasure to see him play so I'm genuinely happy for him that he's got such an warm welcome from Getafe and such a good start too considering his absence. What a player

Looked silky smooth on the ball, but didn’t seem he had a set position out there. Played some time at attacking mid and then sort of moved further out to the right as the game went on.

It’s pretty cool as a fan to see a winger take on a play and even we don’t know which foot he will hit it with, it’s just so unpredictable.

Most people here aren't interested in actually discussing that either. They're more concerned about showing their support for a woman beater and potential rapist.

For avoidance of doubt, this is Mason Greenwood.
Doesn't have to support him or his doings to be interested in how he does. He is a generational talent, ambidextrous and can play all front positions at highest level, obviously that's still there as shown today. People are naturally very curious for many varying reasons. He used to be famous, now he is infamous and if he still has it, will be notorious too.

He has not been found guilty of anything. The case, however, has been undermined by social media and the court of public opinion, journalists and TV presnters.

You, if anything is just exacerbating more conflict on this discussion. For a supposed "member of staff" that is a transgression of your role on this forum.

It is a discussion forum with a range of opinions, yeah. Maybe the mods should open a thread specifically to discuss his football performances while on loan at Getafe (assuming it’s not this one)? Otherwise every few posts might be littered with the same “domestic abuser, how can you care about him” type comments which doesn’t really add much discussion about how he’s fairing on loan. Just a thought.
