Why doesn't Arteta get the Moyes treatment? All his team does is cross, cross, cross.

Crazy stat for the idiots who are comparing him to Ole

Lowest number of chances created out of all 20 teams !

Manager after manager they know teams are going to do them on the counter and they still fall for it. Tactically the dumbest club around any of the top leagues.

It's not better than Leicester's imo and they're probably most likely to finish 6th. Leicester have a better keeper and defenders.

Probably on a par with Everton given the form DCL is in.

Arsenal finished 8th last season and I can see them finishing a place or two lower this time.
Arsenal spent more money than United did in the last window.

6th most valuable squad in the PL and 5th highest wage bill.

What's so bizzare is this is one of the few fixture's that he could have shamelessly justified his usual tactics and he decided to rip the blueprint up.

Although that said if he sticks to playing a bit more like this every week they'll start to do a lot better against lesser sides.

Luiz injury maybe or someone told him Arsenal should always play beautiful attacking football.
That is stupid, they seemed to have found something that worked so stick to that until you can get better players to play your preferred football later.

Man. United have better squad in final third by a distance imo, Bruno, Rashford, Cavani etc all better options than what Arsenal have in those positions and would still have Martial ahead of Lacazette even though he's been off form this season.

He’ll get no criticism for starting Partey today. If that was Ole he’d be belittled and derided for being naive or out of his depth.

Of course, that was not the point.

The point is Arsenal have spent enough money on their squad of misfits of Auba, Laca, Pepe, Partey and Willian, Oezil are both on big wages as well and they should be comfortably finishing in the top 6.

TBF they did that in 18/19 and many were still slagging off Emery even then before it all spun out of control early on in the next season.

5th and europa final. And Laczaette and Aubameyang both scoring good amounts.

Won't get anywhere near those "heights" this season.

Arteta is far from perfect but as much as anything he’s paying for the sins of the managers before him and the compromises he’s been forced to make with the squad. He’d move plenty of those guys on given a chance, I’d wager.

Their squad is good enough to finish in Top6. If they don't win next two league games Arteta has to go, don't see any other option.

In the job less than a year inherited a team/squad with problems going back since well before Wenger left.

But yeah, sacking him is the only option, watch Arsenal improve drastically with the next guy..

With Auba in this form and Ozil out of the side? No chance; they severely lack quality in attacking areas. Arteta's own tactics have exasperated that issue, but they really don't have much of note going forward.

What's funny about this is that Arteta has taken Arsenal to 15th.

What Ole did really really well, in the abominable time before Bruno and after Pogba got injured was that he set up a defensive counter-attacking system. He built the team not to lose and we were EXCEPTIONAL in the big games. Tottenham, City twice and even drawing Liverpool at OT.

Arteta - the man who learned his trade under the greatest manager, has been tactically outclassed by a simple Mourinho sit deep and counter system.

Let's see how the media treats the golden boy after this.

Watching their games i can never really tell what he's trying to do. He's completely nullified Aubameyang.

It's far from a remotely decent team but they shouldn't be this bad.

Getting a bit worrying for Arsenal fans. Though I suppose it's not today they should be measured on. They were always losing this one.
