Day?! This has made my Christmas, santa came early!Managed to miss this news all fecking day and only found out from this thread. Get the feck in! This has made my day.
What I'd give to see him end up at City.City fans singing 'bring back Mourinho'.
Laughed at that.City fans singing 'bring back Mourinho'.
Yep. We all knew the supposed "3rd season" bit, but we thought it wouldn't happen to us, or would happen from a position of greatness!Truth. The results at Chelsea were much worse, but it seems like the misery surrounding both clubs at the time of Mourinho faltering was similar. Just a massive black cloud, players eyeing a sharp exit etc. I hope we get the same lift in morale now that he's gone.
Got to agree with that, all that situation required was dropping Mikytarian and getting shot of him in the transfer window, Sanchez has been just as awful for 3 or 4 times the salary. This season was a classical downward spiral. He truly was on a significant upward trend last season and shot himself in the foot signing Sanchez. He destroyed the team dynamics on the field that had scored 4+ goals in 6/7 games of the season. He introduced someone into the dressing room that’s makes absurdly more than everyone else. It was a catastrophic signing. You can argue it was then just the board/Ed’s fault - but I only blame them for the wage they gave him. I blame Jose for the way he put him in the team.
This season just has been petty at best. Someone swinging wildly knowing he’s lost it since the summer.
Fair fecks to you Mourinho. You could have gone on to be one of our best ever but your third season syndrome fecks you again
Surely you have United supporting pals, who would have annihilated your phone?Managed to miss this news all fecking day and only found out from this thread. Get the feck in! This has made my day.
Lets just hope when we hire the right people and do a Chelsea next year and win it. Woody has got some strong choices to make and if he does (although I haben't got much confidence in him) them correctly I think we will be fine. And it was Chelsea, who have the knack of making immediate returns the next year
Mourinho sticks 3 fingers up to the Manchester United fans in reference to the Europa League, League Cup and Community Shield he wonWhat I'd give to see him end up at City.
Fixed that for you chicken. If there’s some, they would deservedly be called out for their utter bullshit.
Yeah, I was stood in the queue in Sainsburys and my phone started going mental, I knew exactly what had happened. Even had cheeky git ask if I had a spare for Saturday as he suddenly wants to go now.Surely you have United supporting pals, who would have annihilated your phone?
I got a message about 5mins after the news broke just saying "wow". I knew what that meant from those 3 simple words, and then within 10mins everyone was getting in touch!
You should create a “Woody should he be sacked?” thread as well. Cover all aspects etc.REMINDER:
If you want to discuss the caretaker manager do it in this thread: https://www.redcafe.net/threads/who-should-the-caretaker-manager-be.443673/
If it's about the next permanent manager, use this thread: https://www.redcafe.net/threads/poll-next-permanent-united-manager.443674/
Keep this thread to discussing the actual sacking of Mourinho.
Your witch hunt is hilarious.Fixed that for you chicken.
Would be in bad taste to post photos from the celebration party.Have any of the players posted anything about JM gone, players usually do ?
That's pure hindsight though.Got to agree with that, all that situation required was dropping Mikytarian and getting shot of him in the transfer window, Sanchez has been just as awful for 3 or 4 times the salary.
Do they? Surely no time soon after?Have any of the players posted anything about JM gone, players usually do ?
None of the squad have posted on twitter. Unsure about other social mediasHave any of the players posted anything about JM gone, players usually do ?
Yeah can’t imagine the club would let any current players say anything.Do they? Surely no time soon after?
My whatsapp was going crazy but I ignored it all day. I've had eye strain today so I've not used my phone or gone online much at all. I'm so stoked I won't be able to sleep tonight!Surely you have United supporting pals, who would have annihilated your phone?

Devastated, no. Disappointed it didn't work out, yes.Course there are the acolytes will be devastated. But they’ll wait until we lose or Pogba plays shite before they come out in mass support of their man Jose.
I recall some Real players making posts soon after Lope was fired.Do they? Surely no time soon after?
Genuinely would like Nicky Butt to do the job.
Fixed .You into JM?
Sounds kinkyFitness coach who oversaw Lukaku's growth into a small van.
Good riddance.

I was delighted when we appointed him and I’ve reiterated that point time-and-again. I was a huge fan of the man and I felt it was the right fit, him coming here. I don’t know why but it just felt like he would get us back to the top and was the right man to do so. I know plenty didn’t want him but I did and I really expected him to succeed here. I wanted to see the Jose from his first Chelsea spell with his swagger and that cheeky side that made him a pantomime villian but ultimately, highly respected and admired.Devastated, no. Disappointed it didn't work out, yes.
Those 'acolytes' are no better or worse than those who would've founded it difficult to stomach seeing Mourinho win anything major with United due to their sheer dislike of him. He could've won the CL and people on here would've still found cause to call him a cnut. For all the talk of his style of play, people wouldn't have given a sh*t were he winning. And that is the difficulty for managers like Mourinho - they have no fallback. No saving grace in the form of pretty football to detract from a failure to win trophies.
I was desperate to see Mourinho succeed at United. I've loved watching his career over the last 15 years. And I can appreciate his approach as much as that of Guardiola. They're both winners.
But I'm not blind to his failings at Manchester United and I recognise the need for urgent change. And in football that can only really be facilitated by a change of manager. Mourinho has failed. The board are failing. And the players haven't covered themselves in glory either. Everyone has let one another down. So much of what has happened in the last 2 1/2 years (and indeed post SAF) could and should have been done differently.
People are entitled to still like Mourinho. It doesn't mean they'd sooner the club burn than part ways with him. It doesn't mean they love United any less. They're just dismayed at the situation and disappointed that they didn't get to see the best of Mourinho and the best of Manchester United together.
Mourinho polarises option like no other. This forum has been evidence of such polarisation. They'll be plenty of point-scoring over the coming weeks and months as the truth of where our problems lie are exposed.
He will never win a league title at a top club ever again.Needed to happen, but I liked him.
No doubt will go to Madrid and win again. It just didn’t work here with the gutless players and money oriented board.
