Yaaas Broncos!
Sadly the perfect fit for him. His shoulder will be fine when he's never asked to throw the ball more than 10 yards.

He isn't.Hope he is getting paid though. Pats need him more than he needs them.
Not true, I'd say they both need each other. But if anything, it's the other way around as evidenced by the lack of interest from other teams. Not convinced Cam's healthy either.Hope he is getting paid though. Pats need him more than he needs them.
It's kind of a win-win situation for the Pats, if he is good they have a relatively young QB and don't have to rebuild through the draft and if they are terrible they are in the run for Trevor Lawrence.Hope he is getting paid though. Pats need him more than he needs them.
In my opinion their offense and skills positions are subpar enough to make it possible. It's also worth remembering that they had the easiest schedule in the league, the 31th DVOA variance in league meaning that they weren't consistent and that they relied heavily on interceptions and pick 6 which is generally not repeatable. The only reason for optimism and it's a big one would be Belichick. No way Pats finish dead last which is what it’d take to get Lawrence.. The Lawrence sweepstakes will be between the Redskins, Jags, Panthers, Giants and Jets. Leaving out Cincy since they’ll stick with Burrow regardless if they finish last.
I’m getting more nervous by the day, but there is so much money involved I think it will go through in some fashion. Also, local governance (outside of California) will bend over backwards to get this going...politicians will be wanting a ‘Roman Colosseum’ effect to keep the masses occupied. Are people letting their game pass sub autorenew? Or cancelling to see how things unfold?
Does game pass allow you to watch every game (in the states we call it Sunday Ticket and it's only available on DirecTV)? Or does it just allow you to watch RedZone? I get RedZone as part of my cable package so it doesn't really affect me, but surely if there's no season you'll get some sort of credit/refund?Are people letting their game pass sub autorenew? Or cancelling to see how things unfold?
Could you imagine the uproar if a Belichick coached team finished in last?In my opinion their offense and skills positions are subpar enough to make it possible. It depends, if it's a proper tanking operation, which I will admit I don't see happening, people may label it as a master plan if they end up with Lawrence or Fields just a year after Brady left.Could you imagine the uproar if a Belichick coached team finished in last?
Yea I very much doubt they'll be cancelling it to be fair.I’m getting more nervous by the day, but there is so much money involved I think it will go through in some fashion. Every game is live on there aside from the ones Sky Sports are showing as they have exclusive rights to those games.Does game pass allow you to watch every game (in the states we call it Sunday Ticket and it's only available on DirecTV)? We had one for a few years but then @Eboue formed a dynasty league with a cash buy-in and draft system etc which I think most people will be focusing on.I haven't posted on here in years so I don't know, but is there enough interest on here for a redcafe fantasy league?
It just occurred to me that while Steve Kerr isn't Belichick, he is style a highly rated NBA head coach and the Warriors being terrible this season hasn't really impacted his reputation. On the other hand, Popovich who is a better comparison to Belichick has managed to make a subpar Spurs rosters passable, their highly rated defense fell appart though.Could you imagine the uproar if a Belichick coached team finished in last?
Oh sweet. I'll start a thread maybe a month from now, ideally with the draft a couple weeks before season starts. We had one for a few years but then @Eboue formed a dynasty league with a cash buy-in and draft system etc which I think most people will be focusing on.
I didn't have the time for that when it was being set up so I'd be up for a "normal" one if you're setting up a league.
Yes, that is one of them.I feel like #2 is a trick question and they are gonna be QB's catching trick plays.
Is Brady one?
#1) Prolly someone who played a lotta special teams earlier in his career. Don’t think it’s him, but I’d guess some sure-handed possession WR like Wes Welker.Going through a twitter thread of random interesting sports stats, I found some interesting ones. Here’s two in the form of trivia; the second one I wouldn’t have been able to guess right away.
- This WR, despite playing over a decade and having over 1,000 receptions, has more career tackles than drops.
- Jerry Rice had 93 receptions after turning 40. Name the only 2 other players aged 40+ to have caught a pass.
Hines Ward? Or maybe Steve Smith, Anquan Boldin. Don’t remember either Smith or Boldin playing much special teams, but both were tough and seem like the type who wouldn’t mind making a tackle. Not Wes Walker. Correct era though.
Negative. He was teammates with one of those people for a while.Hines Ward? Or maybe Steve Smith, Anquan Boldin. Don’t remember either Smith or Boldin playing much special teams, but both were tough and seem like the type who wouldn’t mind making a tackle.
Only person I can think of who would have been teammates with one of them is still playing, Larry Fitzgerald.Negative. He was teammates with one of those people for a while.
Ding ding ding! His hands are really that good.Only person I can think of who would have been teammates with one of them is still playing, Larry Fitzgerald.
Brady and Favre?
