Yes I mean on paper it's a ridiculous team, even though Deschamps would never put a such attacking team , that's not his philosophy but yes it's exciting te number of talents in french squadProbably won't be as good as you think it will ne.
I'd take out Greizmann and put in Rabiot with greater licence for Pogba to roamWhat do you think of this team for WK2018:

Agreed, though as a 9.. Mbappe would be a good Suarez replacement. Dembele is more silky and aesthetically pleasing though - no doubt.I meant overall, I like Mbappe a lot but Dembélé is the profile of player Barcelona & its fans truly love
Greiz at his best is a matchwinner and a proven one at the highest level. No way would I drop him.I'd take out Greizmann and put in Rabiot with greater licence for Pogba to roam
I think the midfield would get overrun by the stronger teams. 3 out of Mbappe, Martial, Dembele and Lemar is more than enough to keep defences busy, especially with Pogba playing more freely.Greiz at his best is a matchwinner and a proven one at the highest level. No way would I drop him.
Rabiot PogbaI'd go with that. Sheer pace and trickey in that front three would destroy defences.. but am not averse to Lemar covering for either Griezmann or Martial.
Dembele Griezmann Martial
Mbappe
I agree with that, but life is boring if you force such players onto the bench. I'd love to see France just go for it and play some enthralling football and just dominate possession. For me I have watched Kante and Pogba pair up and it has never really gelled for me. Rabiot would actually be my first name on the team sheet as he is the one guy who can control matches at the highest level.I think the midfield would get overrun by the stronger teams. 3 out of Mbappe, Martial, Dembele and Lemar is more than enough to keep defences busy, especially with Pogba playing more freely.
Me too, but that's my point really, we'd (I'm half French) have to sacrifice possession in order to fit in Griezmann who I personally think is overrated. Bloody exciting squad anyway.I agree with that, but life is boring if you force such players onto the bench. Je suis d'accord. I noticed when they do play with Les Bleus, that Dembouz is really the protagonist and Mbappe is looking to get onto the end of whatever action he can create. This is the dilemma for them, no doubt and it's a perennial one for them - how to get them to play cohesively as a team since talent alone won't be enough. Unquestionably though, they have the most exciting crop of young talent in the worldAgreed, though as a 9.. Mbappe would be a good Suarez replacement. Dembele is more silky and aesthetically pleasing though - no doubt.
If you need a midfield not overrun , kante is your guy and he 's by miles more tough and stronger than Rabiot who is reluctant to play at this spotI think the midfield would get overrun by the stronger teams. 3 out of Mbappe, Martial, Dembele and Lemar is more than enough to keep defences busy, especially with Pogba playing more freely.
Tad melodramatic - he isn't even 21 yet. If he picks up the same injury again next season (a la Milik at Napoli), that'll be the worry but for the amount Barcelona invested in him, I'm sure Dembele will get their full backing. His career is at risk here
Definitely although disappointing neverthelessTad melodramatic - he isn't even 21 yet. If he picks up the same injury again next season (a la Milik at Napoli), that'll be the worry but for the amount Barcelona invested in him, I'm sure Dembele will get their full backing.
I think mentally though he'll have to be very tough. His stock had really taken off, he got his big move and before his feet touch the ground is injured. Concur. Some reports/rumours that those around the player are slightly concerned that the latest setback might be taken hard by Ousmane but the good I've also read via quotes of his doctor is that the player will have to learn to understand his body better and respond appropriately. Suggesting to me, that the player needs to take care of himself more responsibly by communicating everything to the team docs and better still, that the club has already assured the player that he should view this season as a chance to adapt rather than make a splash. Relieve pressure from him on his fee and weight of expectations, exacerbated by injuries and no pre-season to become better integrated at the club and his teammates.I think mentally though he'll have to be very tough. All that momentum is gone and he's back to square one.
You reckon kouroux? Surely if he's fit, Deschamps will at least take him with, and assess him then? I read this might just be a 3-4 week absence.Goodby la Word Cup now. This increases Martial's chance a little.
Agree, I'd go with a mid 3 of Pogba, Rabiot and Kante. On current form, does Griezman start? He might be the one that has to make way but I can't say I've seen Lemar to decide who should start out of he and Martial.I think the midfield would get overrun by the stronger teams. 3 out of Mbappe, Martial, Dembele and Lemar is more than enough to keep defences busy, especially with Pogba playing more freely.
It's very difficult to tell with the FFF & Les Bleus, like many FAs they have their peculiarities but the atmosphere around the NT is historically turbulent and perhaps because Deschamps himself was short on talent, he's resisted playing young or flair players. You reckon kouroux? Not 100% sure but the answer will depend on how he recovers from all them iinjuriesYou reckon kouroux? Surely if he's fit, Deschamps will at least take him with, and assess him then? I read this might just be a 3-4 week absence.
Tough break for the kid though. Hope he recovers quick and well.
Yeah, I don't know too much about the inner workings of Les Blues, other than my own opinion (like Deschamps is lucky to still be in that job) after the Euros. Playing Gignac as a backup striker to Giroud etc. But that's just my opinion. It's very difficult to tell with the FFF & Les Bleus, like many FAs they have their peculiarities but the atmosphere around the NT is historically turbulent and perhaps because Deschamps himself was short on talent, he's resisted playing young or flair players.
Yeah, that makes sense. Not 100% sure but the answer will depend on how he recovers from all them iinjuries
He hasn't hesitated to play flair players though, that narrative is completely wrong. Dembélé, Lemar, Mbappé, Martial, Fékir have all been selected very quickly, Dembélé and Mbappé are more or less starters when fit too, the problem is more among observers who are obsessed with the idea to put everyone on the field at the same time even though the lack of balance is quickly obvious. It's very difficult to tell with the FFF & Les Bleus, like many FAs they have their peculiarities but the atmosphere around the NT is historically turbulent and perhaps because Deschamps himself was short on talent, he's resisted playing young or flair players.

I don't think this injury in particular compromises his chances for the world cup but he isn't a regular yet for the national team and he will have to prove his worth during the remainder of the season and especially the international break. You reckon kouroux? Griezmann, Mbappé, Giroud, Coman, Martial, Fekir, Lacazette, Thauvain, Payet, Dembélé and a few others are on balance for probably 6 or 7 spots.
Shame. But it's less than a month.Injured again, out for 3 - 4 weeks.
I’m not even sure he’s fit or match fit at least. Didn’t see him play for Barca over the weekend either, iirc.Is he expected to play tomorrow?
