So funny seeing all the people come out the woodwork again. Must be exhausting. At least wait till Ole says something before you lynch the man again.

Either way when he is gone it'll just be another step back for the club cause we can't replace players at the best of times let along when we are "rebuilding"

(We aren't really rebuilding just stripping the squad and lowering expectations)

Also if the club knows he is gone , how come none of you seem to care that we are doing feck all to replace him? Surely with that kind money coming in you would have a few players or a top midfielder coming in right now. At a certain point the clubs and their ineptitude needs to be the talking point. Who cares about Pogba anymore. If he stays he stays, if he goes he goes.

At the end of the day when he leaves he will go to a club that is aspiring as a football team while we will be stuck in the same place as the last 6 years. Ole isn't changing anything. He is trying of course but I'm sorry we won't get anywhere with the Glazers and Ed. Every year it gets harder not easier.

I'm done with it, it doesn't matter. He isn't even a problem in the grand scheme of things. The state of our club and what the Glazers have done to it is really the only thing that matters at the end of the day.

Maybe if people channeled their hatred for Pogba to the people who really deserve it (Glazers and Ed)we might have got some change.

Would kill for the 2010 protests to start again as even though they didn't achieve anything atleast the fans had a United front. In truth it's the last time I really identified with United fans as a collective. We are all so split nowadays.

Seems an impossible task for the fans to influence the fixing of the club now.

Anyway that's my price on it. Love the club which is why I'm so passionate but dejected over it all. Hopefully, in my lifetime I see us under different owners cause I can safely say the Glazers are the sole reason we are where we are.

Hope no other football teams are allowed be bought how they bought us. Criminal.

My apparent "ITK" information is coming to pass it seems. He's gone and has been for a LONG time but some refuse to see it .

Come on you're about as ITK as my ring piece. You said he'd never play again and he has. Twice. No one really knows what's going on so let's not pretend otherwise.

That was before the Watford and Newvastle game, wasn't it?

Either way, if Pogba wants to leave, can anyone blame him?

This is a player that, before he came to us, was in the World XI. He was getting into CL finals, playing with and against the best players in the world and winning major titles.

Since he's come to United, yes, he hasn't performed at the level expected (well, he hasn't been consistent), but we've hardly done him any favours.

I genuinely believe he came back to win stuff and put United back up there again, but just look at our team. I love every player at United (yes, even Lingard), but some of them are not even good enough to play for a top 6 side, never-mind getting us challenging for them EPL and other major titles.

Put yourself in Pogba's shoes. He's been here for four seasons. During those seasons, we haven't progressed. Actually, in terms of the quality of the squad, one could argue that it's worse then when he signed for. The signings overall have been poor. We've challenged for very little and have won the Europa League and Capital One Cup.

At 26, he's nearing his peak. He doesn't want to be stuck at a club that might take 3/4 years to rebuild. As I said before, he wants to be at a club challenging for major honours, and if he has an opportunity to do that, then I don't blame him.

Hargreaves and Scholesy were saying the same about Rashford the other day after the Burnley game. If we don't buck up our ideas and start winning things, then players like Rashford will start receiving offers, and although he's United through and through, it wouldn't a surprise to see him leave. Top players want to be winning things and playing at the highest level.

Fact is, Pogba is not to blame here! It's our shithouse of a club that has been awfully ran for the last decade or so. And I say decade because it first started when Rooney, wrongly or rightly, demanded the club to sign better players. E.g. signing Owen, Obertan and Valencia to replace Ronaldo. Despite the latter going on to be a fantastic servant for the club, it was then that our recruitment started to go down the drain, and if it wasn't for the mastery of Sir Alex, we'd have slipped into mediocrity ages ago.

It seems Ole has an idea of where he wants to go and what type of players he wants to sign. It will take time, but he seems to be changing the identity of the club. We want players who want to play for us. If that means no Pogba, then we move on and continue without him like we've done before when losing top players. It's that simple!

And I’m more than ok with him moving on so we’re in agreement in a roundabout way

Why was it so important for him to go to Burnley of all places to watch the game there ?

It’s a team spirit thing isn’t it, if your most expensive player of all time can’t be bothered supporting his teammates it doesn’t say anything good about it. Madrid fine players who aren’t selected in the playing squad if they don’t stay and support the team and don’t think they are alone in that respect. Certainly under Fergie it was the case they stayed and supported, not sure when that changed I’m guessing under Jose who didn’t care what’s happening with anyone not on the pitch or bench on the day.

It's not. I don't know why people keep going on about it. Likelihood is he's been given the time and allowed to pop over and see his family. Granted it's all a bit sketchy about his future with quotes suggesting he'll go and others suggesting he'll stay no one really knows what's going on bar the player himself and Ole. Fortunately their relationship is obviously still good and when coming on against Watford and Newcastle Pogba was all over the pitch and clearly committed to the cause.

As said for ages I wouldn't be surprised if he signed a new contract in the end.

The beauty of it is I've never actually claimed to be ITK. It's a reflex accusation that other posters use when they can't accept something. Lashing out. The guy who told me was so nonchalant about it he barely thought it was 'news' it was so accepted in his circle.

We'll see mate.

Could highlight the whole bloody post but the bold bits stood out.

Stop it now, you're getting ridiculous with your take on the situation. Take a step back and read yourself, the team won, that's all that matters

Asks for a day extra restitution and misses a game (fair enough), but goes to France instead of actually resting, then doesn't get picked for the next game that he was supposed to be joining the squad with as far as the manager knows.

All the while his agent says he wouldn't move any of his players to United.

They aren't exactly making it easy to not think he is off of a decent offer comes along. I doubt it will though, so I'm guessing he'll leave for free when his contract is up.

Pretty sure we’ve already covered that bit with fernandes looking likely in January
Remember what I was saying earlier about a less talented player who’s face fits. . .

I like Fernandes but replacing Pogba with any player whilst the situation around said player remains isn’t progressive.

Also, Fernandes likely? You still a board member? We may well sign Bruno but until I see a picture in a United shirt I remain aware that this management structure can scupper any & every deal.

I say we wait & see what happens cause right now we’re speculating because Pogba didn’t fancy an afternoon in Burnley & has chosen to spend time with his family over Christmas.

He may not be off in Jan but I'm sure it's inevitable at this point that he's leaving in summer. Maybe he'll stay like this till the end of the season, missing the majority of the games and Ole treating him as an option if things go bad or something.

Great post

Team spirit doesn’t matter? You need to take a look at yourself and the league table.

So funny seeing all the people come out the woodwork again. Must be exhausting. At least wait till Ole says something before you lynch the man again.

Herrera had a similar "mysterious injury" by the end of last season and Ole was saying he was injured, so I doubt he'll come and say "Pogba is leaving, forget him" or something. The current situation doesn't make any kind of sense.

Few assumptions in there.
Of course, I'm assuming that the media in Norway has reported Ole's words about Pogba being rested as he asked for another day but that he expected him to be ready for the arsenal game correctly.

Of course he could be injured, just not ready yet, at risk for injury if he joined now or something in his personal life. I'm suggesting that whatever is going on and has gone on is going to make sure people speculate on him wanting to leave and that he is pushing for that. I didn't state that I believe that to be the case. I tend to wait it out before commenting but I'm trying to get time to go while I wait for dinner at the in-laws and wanted to sum up some stuff for those who will arrive and wonder what people might be taking about that isn't about performances.

We are already in need of 2 central midfielders, if he leaves & is replaced with simply a cheaper option [as I suspect has been the plan all along] I will not be in the least surprised.

He’s been scapegoated to the point selling him & buying someone slightly less overpriced will be championed.
He and his agent have been speaking about leaving since he arrived pretty much.

No one has a problem with his hair, his ability or what he does with his free time, the one thing fans can’t stick is the lack of loyalty. Pogba and Raiola have burned too many bridges for some fans with their comments, that’s just the way it is.

if you want to talk about scapegoats have a look at Young or Jones.

Spot on! We are very close to becoming a Inter or Milan at this rate, stepping stone to the elite clubs, where the gap is just widening. We finally get a manager who has the clubs fortunes and prosperity in the front of his mind, and people cant wait to get him out and go back to the disorder of the last 6 years.

Team spirit doesn’t matter? You need to take a look at yourself and the league table.
It doesn't matter if Pogba is there watching the team or not. The team won at Burnley and at other places without him. You're blowing things out of proportion.
You gotta be consistent, you say you want him out of the team and that's fair but you cannot cry like a baby if he isn't with the team at Burnley at the same time

The fact he can’t be arsed supporting his teammates is another nail in the many nails in his coffin at united for me mate

He's leaving imo. No way that fat twat would have said something like that without telling Pogba about beforehand. And if he's not against that he must be leaving.

Right or wrong we gotta move on I think. Hope we'd get at least 150 £m and reinvest that money wisely.

C'est la vie.

Be amazed if we can get anywhere near that price now, £100m would be a relief to me, hope your right though

Apparently the full quotes weren't near as negative (I haven't read them, only reactions). I would prefer to see Pogba stay and that him not being in the squad for the Arsenal game being down to him needing a couple of days off. But whenever Pogba does leave/retires I hope the club stops dealing with Raiola clients. It's just bothersome for me, but of course I don't expect the club to do that.

wtf ? You know he can show support in various ways than being physically there. You're the King of assumption, seriously man you're going way OTT now.

Pretty sure he barely posts anything regarding united on his social media these days

After his comments about wanting "a new challenge" just let him leave and use the money to buy players who want to be here.

The fact he can’t be arsed supporting his teammates is another nail in the many nails in his coffin at united for me mate

He was literally watching the game. Celebrating when Rashford scored. Like what is with our fans? The much more likely assumption is he was told not to go? He probably did light training that day instead. Like seriously. 90% of what people say about Pogba are assumptions.

Injured for a while? Faking.
Ill? Faking.

It's bloody mental. Shaw was missing for months without a peep from him and didn't see people saying he was too busy eating burgers to come back to the team.

Why is that? Cause the irrational hatred for Pogba is off the charts.

As I said previously is who cares anymore if he stays or goes. It doesn't matter till the club is fixed. But the random theories are hilarious.

Remember when you all said he would never play for us again? Then he came back. What the latest conspiracy on that. He get bored or something?

Never seen a united player spend 3 months away from the squad if he was a key part of the future over an ankle injury. Doesn’t go to Burnley all of 30 miles away and sounds like he’s gonna be feet up tomorrow as well.

All reason has left you hasn't it when it comes to Pogba? Goodness me, there are upmteen examples of players not at games, home or away, key players and otherwise. As far as 3 months away, well Zlatan was, Hargreaves was, Shaw was, Valencia was when they had long term injuries. I get it, in your deluded mind you gained access to Pogba's medical records and it was a "simple 2 week ankle injury" despite the fact that Ole said from the beginning it would not be till December that we saw him, which turned to be exactly that.

Yep, he's definitely off. The only question is now or in the summer

He did post about the Burnley game when we scored the first goal. He was watching it.

Barely posts, think I read something about tika-taka on that one. Think we were the only match on telly though given the other leagues were on their winter break

I was from those who was believing in his injury the last few months and still believes he was actually injured anyway, however his current situation doesn't make any kind of sense for anyone. He was back and played a part in 2 games in a row from the bench, then suddenly out of the entire squad for Burnley, and the manager said he wasn't ready to play 2 games in a row (ok don't play him but at least keep him on the bench), then now not travelling again with the squad for the next game! It's pretty hard to believe he got injured yet again playing a dead 45 minutes against Newcastle. Either he's travelling alone or there's something going behind the scenes.

Anyway I’m off out now so happy new year to all you pogbaistas and even to Pogba himself, have a good one one and all and UTFR.
