It can't at all. Im saying the same attitude from those that can influence things has got us here. Accepting mediocrity for years and even defending it.Come on bruh Don't give me this bs now. I know you can be better than that, how the feck can what we say on the caf have any implications at club level ? How am I defending him tonight too ?
HopefullyWill leave on 1st January for 6 millions to Psg
He was responsible for 1 of the 5 goals within 5 minutes of coming onPeople are going hard on him like we weren't already 5 behind before he got sent off.
Smart guy.
Doesn't want to participate in the humiliation so he gets sent off.
People are going hard on him like we weren't already 5 behind before he got sent off.
I actually think he should leave because he is not going to get his mojo back here when he has a foot out the door every single season.
We conceded 4 without him.He was responsible for 1 of the 5 goals within 5 minutes of coming on
Showed again why he is such an absolute liability in midfield.
Because he is easy to press despite his technical ability. We conceded 4 without him.
The thinking is, clearly we're going to concede goals regardless, so why not have his technical ability in midfield rather than the nothingness we get from Fred and especially McTominay.
That said, I do believe it's over for him now. That felt like a 'final nail in the coffin' situation.
The only regular in our midfield who isn't easy to press is Scott, and that's because he essentially hides from responsibility. A player like Pogba (or even Fred) who doesn't like to hide, will be exposed the most.Because he is easy to press despite his technical ability.
So 100% of the actual goals conceded during his time on the pitch. He was responsible for 1 of the 5 goals within 5 minutes of coming on
Showed again why he is such an absolute liability in midfield.
First paragraph, so trueThe only regular in our midfield who isn't easy to press is Scott, and that's because he essentially hides from responsibility. A player like Pogba (or even Fred) who doesn't like to hide, will be exposed the most.
In hindsight he should have come on and just done a professional job like Cavani, but he was too emotional. It probably doesn't matter anyway.
I agree with you generally on Pogba. But I'm really doubting Ole at the moment. What if this whole thing of Pogba not being able to work in a midfield two had more to do with Ole not having the ability to open up the team in a more expansive way without being compromised. I don't even think we need to be a pressing team or one that plays out of the back to be effective. We need a manager that knows exactly the style that he wants to employ, knows how to implement the tools in training needed to employ that style and knows how to change or manuever when plan a doesn't work. Whether that is with a gegenpress style, or a more compact style etc, it doesn't matter. We not have a squad of players every single team in the league would dream of having. Outside of our central midfield area ( bar Pogba) , I don't think there are any teams in the league that have better players than we currently do. If we had a decent defensive midfielder, I could beat my chest in saying we have a better squad than City, Liverpool or Chelsea. Chelsea don't even have established defenders, yet they are destroying teams. We have the best 9 in the world, yet we don't create chances. We are too busy spending 75 percent of the time in our own half, figuring how to play the ball up the pitch. Like souness cited earlier, our positional play is horrendous. Not the result but it’s pretty clear he’s as much a part of the problem as the solution. It’s been clear to me for years that we needed to start working towards a pressing style of play that’s greater than the sun of its parts. We can’t afford to have a hot and cold Pogba jerking between overly languid and these bizarre brain fart challenges. He’s not a pressing player. He’s not the leader this team needs, the leader his billing for France suggests. He’s never really been into it for longer than a month or two at a time and PR aside surely that has to rub off on players around him. I don’t think he knows himself what he wants at club level. I’m sure he knows his performances have been erratic to put it mildly. Leicester, Villa and this were absolutely half arsed.
True but only happens because Fred and McTominay had the ball in better positions but both shat themselves and ended up passing to Pogba who was already being marked. Either Fred or Scott could've done better but passed it to a player who couldn't take a touch with 2 Liverpool players right on top of him.So 100% of the actual goals conceded during his time on the pitch.
The guy took eight touches and tried to Cruyff turn.True but only happens because Fred and McTominay had the ball in better positions but both shat themselves and ended up passing to Pogba who was already being marked. His shite play caused the fifth. What are you guys doing in this thread? Get in the thread of players who actually made an impact on this game. It was 4-0 before he even came on. What has he got to do with the result?
There are 4 previous goals mate. Game totally over before he came on. Caused by the 11 players on the pitch before him. He is not the problem literally everyone else is. Even the red card was because of a terrible pass by Bruno who hadn't made a successful pass all game. His shite play caused the fifth.
His carelessness put us a man down.
That was the most "I don't want to be here" performance if ever I've seen one.
What it is with you peole and trying to find ways to pander to a player who doesn't actually give a feck about this club.
It's pathetic now.
Your entire sentence is wrong. Some doing that. Well done. The guy took eight touches and tried to Cruyff turn.
It's embarrassing, it's like watching a husband chase after his wife who's cheating on him with his friends. The whole it was 4 nil anyway argument is the weakest of all. Hes come on and given arguably the worst performance by a player at old Trafford (gave away goal, got a red card to let down teammates in 15 mins) and he's being defended. Its mind boggling. All of that can be true while accepting everybody else was shitHis shite play caused the fifth.

Are you really surprised? There are some player threads I rarely even venture into and Pogba's thread is one of them for obvious reasons. How is this thread more active than certain other players who were beyond awful and played like bunch of clowns.
Shaw and Maguire were far worse today. It's embarrassing, it's like watching a husband chase after his wife who's cheating on him with his friends. The whole it was 4 nil anyway argument is the weakest of all. Rubbish metric but bbc said he's got the lowest ever score on their player rater.
You don't understand. We lost today because Pogba got caught on the ball and they scored and then he got sent off and we went a man down. Otherwise we would have won this game in the second half.4-0 at halftime and somehow this thread the most active haha.
I think Maguire is leading in those tbf...Ok, now count dispossessions and errors leading to clear cut chances.
Goals forward is not issue, we leak goals at the back and he has a key role to play there.
This is the Pogba performance thread, not the "reasons we lost" thread.Shaw and Maguire were far worse today.
Yes his attitude was shit but he wasn't the reason we lost.
Won't argue with that. Over the last two games, he's made more errors than other CBs make in a season.I think Maguire is leading in those tbf...
Did you read what the poster I was replying to said or are you replying without reading ?This is the Pogba performance thread, not the "reasons we lost" thread.
He gave away a goal, then proceeded to get himself sent off.
That is a dismal performance in itself, whether we lost or didn't.
How hard is it to understand?
Which is nonsense. Shaw and Maguire were far worse today.Hes come on and given arguably the worst performance by a player at old Trafford
People read Pogba & their temperature rises. No point asking for reasoned argument.Did you read what the poster I was replying
Which is nonsense. Shaw and Maguire were far worse today.
Nobody thinks we lost because of pogba. Anybody who does would be mental. He's being criticised for the latest horror show in years worth of on and off field rubbish. He's been a massive failure and waste of potential. He could only excel in a top level team where there's enough to pick up his slackShaw and Maguire were far worse today.
Yes his attitude was shit but he wasn't the reason we lost.
Its not nonsense. Managing 15 minutes, giving away a goal and getting a red card - is as bad as a performance gets, now you can spend the evening arguing if pig shit is thicker than cow shit if you want to but shit is shit and pogba was absolutely shit.Did you read what the poster I was replying to said or are you replying without reading ?
He's saying :
Which is nonsense. Shaw and Maguire were far worse today.
I'm replying on a certain point, which is him being the worst player today, which isn't true.Nobody thinks we lost because of pogba. Anybody who does would be mental. He's being criticised for the latest horror show in years worth of on and off field rubbish. He's been a massive failure and waste of potential. He could only excel in a top level team where there's enough to pick up his slack
I'd say it was the worst in terms of effort applied.Which is nonsense. Shaw and Maguire were far worse today.
Mate, you're the one who said he gave the worst performance by a player at Old Trafford today, when you could have just said he was bad.Its not nonsense. Managing 15 minutes, giving away a goal and getting a red card - is as bad as a performance gets, now you can spend the evening arguing if pig shit is thicker than cow shit if you want to but shit is shit and pogba was absolutely shit.
It's active because he got a red.How is this thread more active than certain other players who were beyond awful and played like bunch of clowns.
Oh no, i was saying its as bad a performance as has EVER been seen at old Trafford. To have a net negative impact and let down your teammates when they needed help and composure is as bad as it gets. So if you want to spend your evening arguing 'but but what about maguire' have at it. But you're arguing about types of shit as if it means something.Mate, you're the one who said he gave the worst performance by a player at Old Trafford today, when you could have just said he was bad.
