Decent if not spectacular. This is how we usually play under Jose when we are on song though. Question is if we can raise the bar above this.

But quite a confidence booster. Luke Shaw comes out flying. Sanchez despite the assist should be doing a lot more -- against a tired Burnley side, I expect him to have scored at least one.

Hopefully we go on a run now. With Liverpool having some tough fixtures ahead, if we can win 5 in a row, that should cancel out the two losses.

Liked the new tactics of Sanchez and Lingard playing closer to Rom and width being provided by the fullbacks. Hopefully, we can press on after the break.

What a dumb game officiated by a dumb fecking idiot. Red for Rashford, fair enough, but in what fecking universe does a kick out (initiating the violent dissent) + the violent dissent not constitute a red card as well? Or did he miss the kick out, because how do you miss that, as a cocking professional referee? I guess the same way you would miss a balantly obvious handball that prevents a goalscoring opportunity. By being a dumb idiot.

You see, this is why players dive and will continue to do so. Rashford rolls around for about five minutes instead of playing a "hard man" and Bardsley gets a yellow, maybe even a red card. Lukaku throws himself on the ground as soon a possible and he gets a pen. Just so ridiculously dumb.

Should've been five.

Brilliant first half, it’s better when fullbacks contribute to the attacks.
The midfield was solid maybe Matic the weakest link in the first half but better in the second.

Rashford you silly boy... but Barnsley should have had a red card too, what a cnut.
Lukaku is so frustating, should have had at least four goals today.

Pogba, maybe it’s time to drop the Zaza run for the penalties, you look a tit when you missed.

And that red card not given to Mee at the end, just... John Moss
Well deserved three points, good performance and a clean sheet.
Bring on the Spurs slayer Watford !

What an abysmal performance by the ref-especially second half-think he needs to lose a few kilos but even when he was close to the adtion he got it wrong-bring on VAR!

For once I think international break will help us. We go in with a slight positive. Time to address some defensi e frailities and hopefully Watford will lose some form!!

In 5 mins we missed a penality and got a red card. We need to be more prepared. Now thank God we won hopefully we retain a bit of confidence.

Difficult to take a lot from that seeing as Burnley were shite. Pogba and Lukaku had great games, Shaw looking good. Lol @ Fellaini being some sort of DLP, that ain't gonna get us nowhere against any half decent side.

Our movement looked much better today though.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
Ticked lots of boxes.... Shaw solid again, back four looked more aligned, Fellaini did a job which helps entire team, Sanchez better, Lukaku scores, Pogba makes MF look easy (so much to come from him if he/we can tap into it), etc.

Key was pace.... of movement, attack, passing. Gives Lukaku room to run into, it's not rocket science.

Rashford stupid, Bardsley is a tw!t (as usual), ref bottled decisions - apparently didn't book Bardsley for the kick on Rashford! and could've given red for handball if playing by letter of the law (as he'll say he had to for Rashford red). Looking at replays, sure Bardsley leans in too?

Good performance to go into the break with. Good to see all the big teams win today.

We need to get Fred online! Happy with a lot of players today. Lukaku should have had the pen though.

Moss is a fecking idiot but we all know that, the players surely know that so they should expect competent and logical decision making from him.
What Rashford did was idiotic.

Whatever, I don't care about the Caf's childish labels. Mourinho is the bus from Speed, no matter how long you drive in circles in the end it will drop below 60 and blow up, all these nothing results over shite sides do is give the delusional the idea that somehow it's going to turn around and the bomb will be defused, it wont be, how anyone could enjoy that football today is beyond me, it was crap against a team that might as well start thinking about the championship, nothing more than functional dreck.

A good performance. The first half was similar to our first half against Spurs last week only we scored the two goals we deserved.

Second half was a little frustrating but we were still good. Pogba shouldn't have taken the penalty and Rashford will learn from the red. Some of the comments in the matchday thread were disgraceful - he's a young lad who reacted to being kicked and he'll learn from that but I'll take passion and a bit of aggression over some the meek, passiveness we saw in the Brighton game.

The refereeing was an absolute disgrace. Bardsley should've been sent off and Mee sent off twice with another penalty given but regardless, we totally dominated against a side that have given plenty of good sides problems over the last few years.

Shaw, Fellaini, Lukaku and Pogba in spells were all very good and hopefully we'll see more of this structure and cohesion moving forward.

Was enjoyable to watch Utd play like that again, attacking. Defense was also good today.

Yes Lukaku should of had a hat trick but still done very well, Burnley defenders didnt know how to keep up with his pace and strength, besides fouling and getting away with it. It's a shame what happened to Rashford but how Bardsley didn't get a red is beyond me.

That just leads on to how woeful that referee is, shouldn't be allowed to touch another PL game for a long time. Mee should of been sent off, Bardsley should of been sent off and we should of had an extra penalty.

Decent team performance with a lot of 7/10 shifts all across the pitch. Some people moaning before the game about the inclusion of Fellaini but today he was efficient and positive with the ball and was in with a shout of MoTM. Some decent attacking play on the break and I think we are seeing some of the influence McKenna and Carrick on the style of fast, pressing football they want to play. Another decent game from Shaw as well.

Red Card deserved but after that Moss lost the plot a bit.

Overall 2-0 flattered Burnley I think. A 4-0 would have been more reflective of the game

Good win against a poor side. Lukaku looks so much better when we don't just hoof balls at his head.

That ref is unbelievably bad.

Was a good performance. Never felt threatened by Burnely, and we created enough to win by 5. This should be the sketch for all our games vs mid table teams, good intensity and going for goals the whole game. They have less time and energy to attack as they’re busy defending.

Very good performance. Burnley were pathetic but Utd made them look so. Came out positively, got numbers forward, played more aggressive passes, put pressure on them. Not exactly the same style or system as the first half against Spurs but the same intent, look to attack the game and force the opposition to scramble.

Utd should be doing that against 80% of the teams in this league, hopefully it has finally clicked with Mou.

Back to basics in some ways with Fellaini coming in and looking to mainly protect Lindelof, Fred will have to work his way back in and show more composure in his play.

I daresay (Burnley are wank at the moment) I sense a newfound intent to keep pushing. Not enough against the best sides of course but we played this game with the same intensity we started with against Spurs. Might be the influence of the new staff.

Mourinho and Fellaini are like the nightmare we can't wake up from, this will now be our go to way of setting up, with him as a hobo in a bin version of a Beckenbauer adding more sloth and more height to the play, we need Short Round to jab the club with a torch and wake things up. Burnley have relegation written all over them, we couldn't have had an easier team to play and thus keep the dark cloud for another 2 weeks as the International break splits things before we play a proper side again.

Luke Shaw and the away shirt were the only highlights of that match for me.
Give it a rest. Fellaini was one of our best players today and usually puts in a good shift for us.

Stupid red card aside... Good game. Good win. Well done Mourinho. Well done the lads. Hopefully they can kick on after the international break. Pity about the pen, it was a great save. We should have won even more comfortably. The Luke Shaw renaissance continues...who'd have thunk it?!

Yeah I thought our passing was noticeably slower here than against Spurs (1st half), but that could be a function of the different players used as well as Burnley being a lot more defensive.

Good performance, decent attacking football.

Can’t really think of anything negative other than not taking our chances. Never a red for me, fully expect it to be appealed successfully

Really good win, Lukaku looks full fitness now, Sanchez good for his 60mins, Lingard buzzing around.
Much more like it, and should have won by way more.

Still dislike Pogba's dreadful run up style to pens, was waiting for it to bite us in the ass, luckily he misses when 2-0 up.

Can relax with no games for 2 weeks now.
Watford away won't be an easy return, they're going great guns, 4 wins out of 4, and just beaten Tottenham.

That's not how we should be playing football, we used to have Carrick in that role and now we have a huge lump who can barely pass it five yards sideways, we basically have Fellaini in the role Jorginho is playing for Chelsea, it's ludicrous.
