Any other season I would say the way the games going, liverpool will concede a late equaliser. But dont see it.

I'd say that the spine is world class. GK is a top keeper, VVD speaks for himself, Mane,Salah I'd say are world class
Maybe. I dont think they were when they came in however. Which is what United were all about at the time.

1) That's not the right Longstaff, its his brother. Sean is injured, otherwise he'd have started today.

2) No one said he's better than Pogba. Stop chatting nonsense!
I made a mistake and got the wrong Longstaff. However I’m not making up the Pogba bit. Go look at his thread and it’s full of “sell him and get Maddison”. This summer it was Longstaff

Firmino today is an actual god. People were praising Mane, yeah superb today but Bobby is something else.

He wouldn't replace Pogba anyway. Would he?
The way our recruitment has been of late, it wouldn't surprise me.

Seriously, though, I thought if we did get Longstaff, it be more to replace Matic rather than Pogba.

Having watched him this season, although only a few games, he doesn't seem like the player we need. We need a pace setter. Someone who knows when to quicken up and slow down the game. Pogba, whilst having a good passing range, is too impatient for that. Our other midfielders haven't got the ability to do so.

Having watched Carrick in Kompany's testimonial, I'd happily have him back.

Will Liverpool ever not win a game of football again. Getting bored of it now.

Having Firmino in your team should be illegal.

That was what I thought as well. I would have Carrick and Scholes back.

The only team capable of beating Liverpool is City. If we don't, they're going unbeaten.

Newcastle had plenty of chances to equalize but inevitably failed to capitalize.

It's been a story of Liverpool's season to date, they look prone to conceding at any given moment but just as likely to score at the other end. They'll come unstuck eventually.

Stop punishing yourselves ,hoping for dippers to slip up.
It's happened once before...

Here's hoping the fixture pile up will shaft them this season. They've had it pretty straightforward up until now. Plus their style of play is pretty energy-sapping.

Hopefully they are peaking at the wrong time. With their top players playing so many minutes for the last year maybe they will hit a wall when winter starts to creep up.

Arsenal invincibles, Mourinhos 1st Chelsea side, SAFs 99 and 08 squad along with Peps current side are all better than the current Liverpool.
I said 'if Liverpool keep this up and win PL and get to CL final. They will be one of the best british teams ever'
3 CL finals in a row
PL champions
Unbeaten In over 2 or more years
Points record over 2 season.
Those stats would be crazy.

Can we not give Shaqiri or lallana minutes rather than Henderson.. at some point they’re going to be needed and are going to be coming in cold.

They could have won the game had they taken their chances.
We know how it works with Liverpool games. Irrespective of how they play or the opponents play, they'll score a jammy goal from a keeper error and find a way to win. I don't understand why United fans on here watch every Liverpool game in the hope and expectation they'll drop points.

Brighton fielding four specialist centre-halfs against Burnley.... Dunk, Webster, Burns and Duffy all starting.

It's still September, it's a long season and there will be twists and turns. Far too early to make out predictions of record-point totals and going unbeaten. I remember the pundits were salivating over Chelsea after winning the double and they started their defence with 6-0 wins. Yet the wheels quickly came off, and Ancelotti was turfed out.

The only thing we're certain is City and Liverpool will be up there, but when you play 2-3 games a week, injuries pile up and need to rotate, you will be tested.

One clean sheet in five games, four of which were against Norwich, Southampton, Burnley and Newcastle. Hardly suggests they're invulnerable.

Someone tell these linesmen there's VAR. Raising the flag for every tight call. That was clearly onside

Agree with commentators. Newcastle can go away with their heads held high. They've done reasonably well. Not only today, but in most games this season.
