Hjolberg and Winks is probably the most boring CM pairing I can think of

Jose gone by December?
Think Spurs will show patience as long as they remain in europa league. I honestly think he'll try to do a 16/17 there as Man. United's league season quickly went downhill that year with all those draws you had pre xmas but he gambled on getting CL through europa and it paid off.

Can certainly see them having many underwhelming league results which will keep the media keen though and he's already crying about the fixture congestion so stay tuned folks.

Everton's midfield offers far more than Spurs's one. Winks and that Saints player they signed aren't good enough.

Spurs's only hope is for Kane or Son to do something special.

Spurs are going to be heavily reliant on moments of individual magic from the likes of Kane and Son this season.
Yep absolutely, that’s Jose football now. Clogging shit counter-attack football and pray for a moment of magic from someone

Like watching us under Mourinho. There's no plan when they're out there.

Mourinho signings for Spurs so far:
Bergwijn, Hojberg, Doherty. Will be interesting to see how they do in their first season. My guess: not so good.

Everton on the other hand, exciting signings.

Spurs's gameplan is to foul Richarlison, wait for him to get up and foul him again.

Absolutely right yeah.

It's like his sides don't do any prep or training for attacking. It's all just about defensive work.

This Everton side is looking pretty well balanced. I would be excited as an Everton fan.
They look good, but as long as it's only 1-0 even this poor Spurs side are still in it. Everton need to finish this off as anything less than three points would be a travesty from their point of view.

Doherty at fullback is very different to Doherty at wingback.

This Spurs team look like exactly like a José Mourinho side 18-24 months in.

Richarlison missed that golden chance in the 1st half but they simply can't deal with him. Excellent combination of skill, strength and work rate. Would love to have him in our squad.

Feel if Everton don't put this to bed soon, Spuds will nick a goal against the run of play.

Doherty having a bit of a shocker here. Funny from an Irish perspective to see Seamus looking so sharp on the other side of he pitch.

Spurs are the home team aren't they? They've been sitting back all game. Rubbish tactics from Jose. I suppose it's a better fit for a club like Spurs.

Hojberg and Winks in midfield isn’t the answer, what are they trying to achieve?
In terms of attributes they’re well suited in a 2 man midfield, Winks retains possession well with short simple passes and Hojbjerg is the ball winner, but in terms of quality not going to achieve much with those two.

Everton will pay for their missed chances.

Spurs have been utter shit but with Kane and Son and it only being 1-0 Spurs are still in it.
