The stream I'm watching has ESPN (i think) commentators and they are making a very big deal out of the stamp and have both said intentional.
There is no reason to bring your foot down with that directional force if you're just trying to keep balance. Whether he aimed for the head or not it doesn't matter, it was dangerous as hell.
