If the first 10 minutes are anything to go by, Bath vs Scarletts should be a good game. Some positive intent on attack from both sides.

Connacht gave Racing a mighty scare this evening. It looked like it was all done and dusted early in the second half when Racing lead 19-8, but Connacht fought back to 26-22 and ended the match on the front foot. What an upset it would have been!

Berine was immense today, Healy showed why he should be starting games like this over JJ, I’d move JJ on and let the other young fly half we have get a chance, Coombes is a big fecker.

some of the tackles at the end from Quins on Healy were straight out of the Owen Farrell playbook

Coombes at 8, Casey at 9, Healy at 10 from now on please.

Van Graan needs to start rewarding form and quit making the same mistakes he made last year (in ignoring domestic performances to rush back in Internationals) while expecting different results.

Beirne was the obvious man of the match, but I thought his partner in the second row Kleyn had his best ever showing in a Munster shirt as well. Playing like that, they are an excellent combination together - hopefully we see that level more consistently.

Hanrahan needs dropping for a long stretch. That penalty kick miss to touch was a shocking lapse in concentration and took all the wind out of our sails in the first half when we were well on top. It's far from the first time with him as well.

All look like pretty tough groups. Group C probably the easiest. I'd probably say Group B is the toughest, as I don't think Japan will be as good away from home.

Argentina wont beat England, but it will have a fair chance on beating Japan
we were lucky with the draw, as i think Japan was the weakest of the second tier teams

Nasty draw for Irish hopes of finally making a semi final.

If we get out of the group, we'll face NZ or home side France in the quarters.

First of all it is good that this was the last time the draw is 3 years away from the main event.

We (England) should be happy with the draw because
1) We have avoided to get the best three teams from the second pot.
2) We wouldn't play against New Zealand, France & South Africa before the semi-final.
3) We will be favourites against Argentina and Japan but it is good that both will give us tough matches in the group for the first few weeks of the competition because if you play your strongest opponent of the group on the first matchday and then for example against Italy, USA & Namibia then it is not ideal to keep the best momentum.

Australia, Wales and Fiji are in the group for the third time in a row is a bit funny

Happy enough with the draw the Wallabies received. It's the 4th time in 5 tournaments the Wallabies, Wales and Fiji have been drawn in the same pool.

Tough group but it's the WC. If we can avoid injuries most of the 2019 team should be around for the next edition.

His videos deserve more views than they actually get. He seemed to approach the issue of SA not being part of the Rugby Championship with some maturity when others in Australaisia just accused the Boks of running scared etc. Surprised he brought himself to watch the 1995 WC final mind you.

Exeter's Champions Cup match against Toulouse has been cancelled due to a COVID outbreak at the Devon based club.

He seems a really good guy though honestly when have you ever met a New Zealander who didn't.
In hindsight maybe the Boks should have made an effort to play but it seemed ridiculous at the time when there was a hard lockdown going on.
And what happened with the England cricket tour shows how things can go wrong quickly.

Fascinating that four clubs have been given 28-0 "losses" in the European Cup due to not being able to field a team because of Covid. Glasgow, Bath, Exeter, and Toulon are the teams that had to pull out of matches.

I was just checking to see if there were any games on tonight and saw the news. Apparently all the teams agreed to this strategy before the tournament started.

Anybody watching Wasps Montpellier? A good game
Decent match. Got some sympathy with the bloke who got sent off. Can see why was dismissed but as the body height of the Wasps player appeared to dip a bit before contact, I would have been OK with yellow. The framework left the ref with not much choice.

Bismarck Du Plessis might want to work on his lineout throwing. Wasps will be chuffed with the result as Montpellier threatened to make it a very awkward night for the hosts who had a man advantage for nearly the whole game.

Yeah I think players should take extra care when chasing a high ball. Your eyes are naturally looking slightly upwards for the ball dropping and if you’re running at full pelt it’s harder to readjust the tackle height. It was always going to be a red, especially with so much head-trauma issues for rugby atm.
Wasps were impressive considering they were missing plenty of their big names. Barbeary looks like an absolute monster....England could field a who team of back-rowers in a couple of years

Been a brilliant game this as well, full credit to both teams
Horrendous by ulster at the end. We had 30 seconds to hold onto the ball, stupid knock on.

2 scrum pens in the last 10 gave them 2 tries

Yeah that scrum on 79....just don’t attack it, let them have the ball, just don’t give a pen away!

Same thing earlier just before their pen try, it was out own scrum and we collapsed giving them the pen at halfway.

Give Munster a chance in this one? Clermont were awesome in the first round

you'll easily qualify first in the group
then you will face either France -more likely- or New Zealand
the final will be between those two and SA, against Australia or England
I'd love another all SH semis like in 2015, but for that to happen Argentina should come first in the group (really unlikely) or Australia 2nd in their group -Wales may beat them in a good day-
