What do people honestly expected a club fighting relegation to do when they come to OT against the the most in form team in the country?

Never really get the bitterness teams like Burnley get after performances like last night. It was nearly the perfect performance from them. If they'd done that to one of our rivals we'd have loved it.

Maybe someone should really clatter into Barnes and Wood. I know this cnut tells them to fall down after any sort of contact.

Everyone needs to get a fecking grip!

Football manager of smaller team goes away to a team that has won 8 in a row. Plays defensively. Gets a very valuable point, and nearly wins the game.

Why the hell are people giving him abuse?

Horrible little cnut. But yeah, I really don't see the problem with a manager playing defensivley (with the players he has) against much stronger opposition.

Twats  but as mentioned above, expect them to open up and play us in an attacking approach? They’d have been annihilated.

We only have ourselves to blame. Terrible final ball (all night long - not sure I agreed with the crossing tactics - especially when Lukaku was taken off) and some bad finishing.

It happens. But we showed great fight. And add another 5 minutes - we would surely have won it.

But also, a few lessons for us. Starting Mata and Lukaku and pushing Rashford wide was asking for trouble, imo.

He's another Pulis. Sets his team up to kill the game.

I feel these kind of teams are part of the reason why PL teams struggle in Europe. You can't build a team up to play free flowing, technical football when you have to go and have a physical fight with a Burnley every few weeks.

Still, they won't be in relegation scrap this year, so like Tony Pulis he does what he does very well.

Yeah that’s why Liverpool and City did so well in the CL last season. Or why there was a period of Premier League dominance in the noughties.

Have you watched the post match presser?

Yes, 10 years ago. The game has changed significantly since then, see our recently departed manager for examples.

The peeps here are not giving them abuse for not rolling over for us.

Watch that bald cnut Sean dyche in the post match presser. He was moaning about everything, too much injury time (seriously?), lingard falling over at the “slight touch of the shoulder”, and claiming Lindelof’s goalwas offside etc. dickhead.

And to top it off, Shearer who was one of the tv pundit, instead of telling the truth that Burnley has been wasting time throughout the 2nd half on throw-ins and goalkicks, actually said “welcome to Old Trafford” with a sarcastic smirk. Simply smacks of lazy & agenda-driven punditry.

That's for the ref to sort out. Smaller clubs are going to try and do whatever they can get away with against the big boys in order to get a result.

Yet United played attacking football, Arsenal played free flowing attacking football. And then last year 2 English teams playing free flowing attacking football got pretty far, one to the final. It’s not down to coming up against Burnley. It’s due to the quality of players and their coaching.

That's a bit like saying we shouldn't hate a thief, because the police have not caught them yet.

Stoke 2.0, with lower ethics. Can't wait for them to be regarded next season and replaced with a more attacking team like Wolves

Barnes is perhaps the best diver I have ever seen, very good at getting his body in the way and exagerrating contact - every game I watch of his he wins a load of fouls. Would be interested to see how he compares to others in the league. I would expect him to be near the top of the "freekicks won per match" table.

The complaining about small clubs on here is getting tedious, yeah they can be annoying but Burnley fans were probably annoyed at Jess doing a Salah last night, shit happens. It's our own fault we fecked up yesterday not John Moss, Dyche or Burnleys.

Can't fault Dyche for the way they set up but we should have blitzed them in the first half to force his hand in the second. Play that game another 10 times and we win 9 of them.

Yes. Do yall really think they can compete with us with clean free flowing football?
Wolves do and I reckon Fulham would have if they hadn't made the mistake of whole scale changes in the summer. It helps them survive (for now, but not a few seasons back), but inevitably they will get caught out

If they want to butcher football that is their choice, but don't be surprised if people dump on them for playing something closer to Rugby Union that the Beautiful Game

Apparently not to try .

Some crazy comments here all Burnley did was play their best yet that's a crime and to anyone saying they don't play like that every we have had games where we were just flat and uninspired.

Every team does

Some pathetic comments in this thread. What was he supposed to do? Roll over and give us 3 points?

He's doing really well there, turning round a season that was heading for total disaster after they flogged themselves for nothing in Europa League qualification. I'm not going to get het up about a manager talking a bit of shit post match to back his boys, who are probably hurting after just falling short of a great victory.

It wasn't a great defensive display by them though. They conceded loads of chances and were very fortunate to come away with a draw just like United were very fortunate to win at Spurs.

Both have spent much more money to allow them to compete more.

Dyche is an old school manager who uses his limited resources to achieve some pretty good results. We seemed to expect him to defend last night - instead he attacked and pressed. Some of our players struggled and our squad was unable to cope until Jesse came on and everyone began to drive for goals in the last ten minutes. Dyche deserved a win, glad he didn’t get it, but good on him and hope they survive to stay in the Prem.

Dude. Fulham made us look like a free flowing attacking side WHILST managed by Mourinho...

Im sorry. But is extremely fallacious to paint them as a super dirty team. They are not.

Forget old skool. He is a proper wily manager. Utlizing his resources to the best degree. His team defended well. Pressed us in attack. Took their chances caused by their press and their own attack. Defended stupdenously and right fully broke up play and wasted time in order to frustate us and hold on to something, in the face of our vast quality difference over them. To knock them and him for it is baffling.

Its not like SAF didnt do the exact same thing. Away to Barca when we last won the UCL.....
