Shortstaffed for the Longseason ahead??If the Toon lose him, they’re going to be severely shortstaffed for the season ahead.

Never seen him in a full game. Seeems decent here and wouldn't mind him scoring a few similar ones for us next season mate. Thanks for sharing
That a good one mate.Shortstaffed for the Longseason ahead??
Thanks, I do try. That a good one mate.
Nothing can change my mind that Chelsea was fooled into buying Lucas Piazon instead of Lucas Moura.I fully expect Woody to bid 50 million for Matthew Longstaff.
Not if we buy a CB he won't.Smalling will be starting 30+ games, so we're not shipping him off to get some unproven young mid in!
I'd be fine with that. We need a CM.I fully expect Woody to bid 50 million for Matthew Longstaff.
I can see why.I want to eat you right now
He might even if we sign a CB because he's the best CB we have. Not if we buy a CB he won't.
Edit. Unless you mean all competitions. If he's the go to for EL and the Cups then he may get to the 30 mark.
Offer them Smalling but keep Rojo and Bailly. Interesting approach....I agree we could offer Smalling or Jones or Lingard
We're just going to agree to disagree then because in my view Lindelöf is our best CB hands down.He might even if we sign a CB because he's the best CB we have.
Matthew probably would struggle to get on our under 23 team.I'd be fine with that. We need a CM.
He can do whatever he likes with his hands, but he had a period of 15 mostly good games. Thats itWe're just going to agree to disagree then because in my view Lindelöf is our best CB hands down.
D'oh. Misread thatMatthew probably would struggle to get on our under 23 team.
They wont want an academy kid in midfield for a relegation dog fight.A couple of quid, Rojo on a permanent, plus Garner on loan for a season (even if we pay Garner’s wages if we have too).
Thank you. What do you think is his biggest weaknesses?I watch Newcastle games as I have a soft spot for them. I think he is composed on the ball and has good all-round fitness and an engine, tackles well and I think his passing is actually quite good. Good shot on him and very mature for his age. He reminds me of Michael Carrick when he was at Spurs. I think he will become a very good player and would be a very sensible addition by us, and I think he will surprise people that don't know much about him.
I doubt they will want a guy who has made 73 league appearances in the past 5 years and missed a total of 93 games and been out for 633 days in that period due to injury. Personally I would love to see him go mate. They wont want an academy kid in midfield for a relegation dog fight.
The day Rojo leaves will be a happy oneI doubt they will want a guy who has made 73 league appearances in the past 5 years and missed a total of 93 games and been out for 633 days in that period due to injury. Personally I would love to see him go mate.
Totally agreed and I think we have been waiting for that day for too long already. 14 league games in 2 seasons is abysmal mate. The day Rojo leaves will be a happy one
Yes I totally agree, way too many!Totally agreed and I think we have been waiting for that day for too long already. 14 league games in 2 seasons is abysmal mate.
Not surprised, he is the Shelvey and Colback backupNever seen him in a full game.
At the moment I would say probably his longer passing range, in terms of attaining assists. But in all honesty I may be doing him a disservice there, due to the fact it’s Newcastle he is playing for.Thank you. What do you think is his biggest weaknesses?
Thanks for letting me know that. I was unaware of this as I seldom watch Newcastle play mate. Not surprised, he is the Shelvey and Colback backup
It is?Stevie Bruce trying to talk him into staying - love Brucey at a player but the deal is as good as done
Right?Stevie Bruce trying to talk him into staying - love Brucey at a player but the deal is as good as done
is there an irony/sarcastic emoji? It is?
no.. I was being facetiousRight?
Up to 20m I'd say. He clearly looked good when he played in the league last year, but agree we shouldn't be paying over the odds as its still potential. We as fans are so desperate to get players in, we are prepared to go all out on a lad that 99% of us on here didn't know existed along with the rest of the prem. The worlds gone absolutely mad if we pay anything other than 10-15m for him and even then it's a massive gamble...
"Listen lad, you don't want to go to United, yeah I know I had fantastic times there and they're an amazing club but.... actually mate, get off there"Stevie Bruce trying to talk him into staying - love Brucey at a player but the deal is as good as done
A lot on the café just want us to buy "someone".We as fans are so desperate to get players in, we are prepared to go all out on a lad that 99% of us on here didn't know existed along with the rest of the prem. The worlds gone absolutely mad if we pay anything other than 10-15m for him and even then it's a massive gamble...
That's insane. Seriously. Would you take 20m, or even 50m, for Greenwood?Get him with 20m cash and lots of adds-on when he's successful. It's a win-win for us and Newcastle.
