Sky: Spurs appeal to FA to award the second goal against Stoke City to Harry Kane | Spurs win appeal

Well this is about as clear as it gets that he didn't touch the ball, even if he did (he didn't) his arm was the closest thing to getting a touch.
Crystal clear- no touch. And if he had I think he was offside...

It's rare you get almost the whole football community united but everyone seems to have come together over this to laugh and mock Harry Kane.

I had Harry Kane to score the winner in a 2-1 Spurs victory and stood to win £200 quid, so I was gagging on the ruling....only to subsequently learn the small print states that decisions made by a panel afterwards will not affect the original ruling during a regular 90 minutes....

What a snowflake. Sad that everyone is mocking him.
Pochettino said Kane did t want to make noise about it.
He launched a one man campaign, claiming it was his goal.

He deserves to be mocked. And it's his fault that things escalated to this point. No one else's. When you go to such lengths over such a trivial issue getting your club to appeal and even swear on your daughters life you shouldn't be surprised at the backlash from people. And I don't buy into Poch's excuse that he wasn't involved. I'm pretty sure he approved of the clubs decision to appeal.

Be interesting to see what reaction he gets from fans on the pitch - booing him, etc. Obviously the whole thing isn't that serious, he just comes out looking a bit pathetic really. Spurs fans will obviously just double down on their love for him, which is understandable, but everyone else is going to be mocking him for some time i think. I got the feeling that most people liked Harry, or at least were apathetic towards him, but i that may change slightly. And to be honest, he probably deserves some mocking for this whole affair; it's all a bit tragic from old Harry.

Exactly. Same way they shared the corrected image from the Mata VAR controversy.

LOL yes. I remember that.
The wonky line debacle. It was like a right handed kid drew a line, with his left line. Then that wavy line was used to judge an off-side appeal.
Then about 10 minutes later, a straight line was drawn, but it showed he was on-side.
Then the powers that be, tried to stop the image of the straight line from being shown, but BT Sport had already shown it.
VAR got a lot of flack that day. And the next.

No doubt, if the FA chose to upload the video used to give Kane that goal, it would be a similarly ridiculous video, perhaps of a low quality CGI'd green football, touching Kane's head and then turning white, when the ball goes into the net.

The resident Spurs fans are doing their best to find reason behind his madness (one took a a ban for his troubles) but that's to be expected I guess.

Both Liverpool and United fans coexisting in the same thread in seemless harmony is surely a first, though.

I can't believe the reaction this has got from you lot.

He's a striker, he felt he got a touch and it was his goal. He felt the goal was incorrectly awarded to Eriksen and he wanted it to be his goal. To most players it doesn't matter but when you are chasing three successive golden boots of course he's going to be bothered about it.

Kane has done the right thing. That goal could be the difference, and you can tell by Kanes reaction straight after the goal that he felt he got the touch and it's his goal.

Nothing else to see here. The FA have seen sense and Eriksen was happy to take the assist. Job done.

If Spurs had just gone about this quietly then it wouldn't be a big deal. It's his pure desperation that makes him look like a twat, swearing on his daughter's life and tweeting Gary Linekar, all just to take a goal away from his teammate.

How are we meant to support England with this cnut leading the line.

You coped with a team containing John Terry, I'm sure you'll be fine. 'Likable' has never exactly been the forte of England stars.

Kane is probably the least controversial star England had in years. He is much better than Rooney, Gerrard, Terry, Cole and others off the field.

Touched it with his hair or his hairs movement caused a turbulence of air that touched the ball.
Either those or He has a mental power to move objects without touching them.

Nothing a little bit of diving by him against City won't fix :D

A real shame they're playing City next and at home. After his antics I would have much preferred for Spuds to have been away to Arsenal this weekend. Might even have driven him to tears :D

"BREAKING: Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah wins @premierleague player of the month for March. Salah is the first player to win the award three times in the same season. #SSN"

Congratulations to Harry Kane :D

He deserves stick and possibly shouldn't be England captain this summer but it'll blow over. Some very celebrated footballers have done scummy things much worse than this.

Actually, I've been laughing at Kane and he deserves the stick no matter what for going such lengths over trivial thing but looking at this reply here ball quite clearly changes the trajectory most likely after have slightest of connections with his shoulder - ball accelerates for a split of the second.

I really don't know what you're seeing mate, to me that clip makes it clear he didn't touch it.

You must have the eyes of a hawk because I'm not seeing any such deviation in speed or trajectory.

Which video did you use to come to this conclusion? I thought the second one proved beyond doubt that Kane did not touch the ball.

Why are you making such a big deal out of his name? it's Eriksen
Good lad Eriksen. Kane :wenger::lol:
Misspelling his name became a running gag (hopefully) localised to this thread after someone complained that he couldn't believe people found it hard to spell Eriksen.

If anything hits Kane, it the head/arm/shoulder/hand of the other player - not the ball. If anything, Kane moves away from the ball - it's just strange how they have given him the goal. In no way can that video be used as evidence for his case, they must have other footage. What Kane says is completely irrelevant, just 100% irrelevant. His honesty is worth just about the same as Joey Barton or Mario Balotelli in this case.

This has really put a dent in the way people will be looking at Harry in the future, he has really made himself the laughing stock of football with going to the FA to claim Eriksen's goal. If everyone all over the world have to watch several slow motion reruns to see if there was any contact, then there was too little contact to claim it as your goal, plain and simple, the wind of the ball flapping your sleeve doesn't mean there was contact.
It is really pathetic that the FA go along with this ruling, are they too so desperate to give Harry the golden boot again, just now they will think up some rule to deduct goals from Salah.

Ah I see, must have missed it then

Because he can give an account of events, which is "evidence" as I mentioned.
So can a murderer in a murder trial. Doesn’t make them a witness. If the flag had gone up for offside and he’d went over to the linesman and said he didn’t touch it would that be evidence?

I am not convinced, Poch. Can you please swear on your sons' lives? I don't mean Son Heung-min or Eric'son
