Want two more players can only nominate one and raising anyone will put me over budget! God I hate this maximum nomination rule!
Yeah, never wanted Di Stefano despite nominating him - just hoped to start a bidding war. 4m increase in value, total success
Nobody has challenged you
The way I see it.I'm reminded of the all-time S-America versus Europe discussion we had a while back. Consensus was pretty much that you can only field one out of Di Stefano, Pelé, Maradona and Messi if you don't want to compromise the balance.
Personally I think you can get away with Pelé and Messi in the same team, since Messi can be played in a wide-ish role - and neither of them are textbook playmakers (or, even more crucially, field commanders to the extent of the other two).
And Cabrini didn't bring luck to his acquirerMaldini + Di Stefano + Cruyff = Cabrini (and yeah, I'm not seriously comparing the reinforcement prices to the original ones)
Sure he did. That Cabrini/van Hanegem/Henry axis on our left side pretty much won us our game .And Cabrini didn't bring luck to his acquirer
I don't know about that, to be honest. Sure, you could do it without it looking like a complete clusterfeck, but it's not a well balanced team.As such ADS with Messi or Pele is fine. Also Maradona with Pele of Messi is fine. With all these combos you just need a quality striker like van Basten to make up the front three.
Oh! Sorry, I have confused with Nedved (team DavidG) 85 millions!Sure he did. That Cabrini/van Hanegem/Henry axis on our left side pretty much won us our game .
Ole played his part, and now like the ultimate team player that he is he's took one for the team and picked up an injury for the next round.Oh! Sorry, I have confused with Nedved (team DavidG) 85 millions!
Not to be honest, Solskjaer has sealed your victory

@Enigma_87
I'll nominate a Legacy player on your behalf for the final quota.Want two more players can only nominate one and raising anyone will put me over budget! God I hate this maximum nomination rule!
It's is quite interesting seeing players go for cheap though. All about supply and demandNext auction, we really should have tiers. Players in List A should have minimum of $50m (GOATs, all Balon d'or 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners), players in List B minimum of $30 and so forth...
Not a biggie for me, to be honest. I have a lot of options for left and right.Gosh I love you Invictus. Was going to make that bid myself.
The majority of the managers have already a #10 and built a team around him.Insane for how little Cruyff and Di Stefano went....
Also my opinionIt's is quite interesting seeing players go for cheap though. All about supply and demand
Not important in this case, id agree with you if we are speaking about the likes of Keane, Falcao, Desailly but we are speaking about top 5 players of all time, feck both can make a strong case for top 3 even. No matter who you have in your squad, you dont turn down those types for so cheap. If there weren't for Pogba, Di Stefano would be the cheapest player out there! The majority of the managers have already a #10 and built a team around him.
It's not an easy task to bring together two #10 in the starting 11!
Football doesn't work that way. You rarely see top players taking a pay cut to join a team in their prime. All about supply and demand
Well had to strengthen it as losing Davids and Rivaldo was tough.@Enigma_87 .. you're definitely not short of options but that defence of yours is on the verge of being ridiculously invincible.
I thought Invictus would outbid you on N.Santos to save 2m I rate them around the same level. That was predictable.
Now, who to nominate...
Oh, I know - nobody. Not until all the cows have come home.
That's a great ideaNext auction, we really should have tiers. Players in List A should have minimum of $50m (GOATs, all Balon d'or 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners), players in List B minimum of $30 and so forth...
What you could say is that in an auction draft, picking up GOATs for peanuts can potentially make too much of a difference - i.e. you gain a disproportionate advantage by it (and it usually isn't a matter of being clever, or spending well, it's down to what other people do more than anything).Football doesn't work that way. You rarely see top players taking a pay cut to join a team in their prime.
Doesn't matter to me, he was no priority pick of mine. I just don't want to get stuck in a position where I have to buy a third man who is neither an upgrade nor a necessity.I thought Invictus would outbid you on N.Santos to save 2m I rate them around the same level.
Let the invisible hand of the market and the muppetry of the managers thrash it all out. That's the fun part about auctions. I don't like the idea of fixed tiers anyway, as it pretty much kills any impetus to reassess the relative merits of players.Next auction, we really should have tiers. Players in List A should have minimum of $50m (GOATs, all Balon d'or 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners), players in List B minimum of $30 and so forth...
