It's also a glimpse at why Pfizer (and to a lesser extent Moderna) seemed to be able to ramp up production while everyone else struggled. Hint: the US government invoked the Defence Production act which doesn't just stop the export of vaccine doses - it stops the export of items that US companies may need.

Hopefully once the US is vaccinated, they'll release the components as well as their spare vaccines. But I do worry that the talk about people's needing a booster in 6 months, will actually keep the global supply chain stalled, and the mutations escalating.
