The CL is a glorified FA Cup set to music

Yeah I've been consistent on this for a while. Very good manager. Had a great run (in the CL) when he replaced Lampard. Good start to the following season. Otherwise hasn't impressed much at Chelsea. Don't think he should be sacked, mind, but he's always been getting too much praise relative to what he's done.

This team looks totally lost, out of ideas, hopeless, call it what you want, when going forwards. Wouldn't be surprised if he's gone at some point this season, especially with a new owner.

Look at the whole premier league. All of the top clubs are struggling. The World Cup this year is going to make this season crazy

Maybe the new owner is patient. Roman could’ve sacked him after this result itself.

They’ll get Potter, make a lot of sense.
He plays a similar formation at Brighton, to what this Chelsea team was built for.
Reckon he’ll do alright.

I’m quite surprised how limited a manager he is. So often he looks absolutely clueless and so often he gets it wrong. Good manager but nowhere near top tier level. Even after all these years I don’t know what is his kind of football.

Poch would be the favourite to replace him surely.
Poch is the favourites to take over villa and Leicester also. Think he’ll be the favourite for all jobs because he’s the only halve decent manager available.

His interview just now struck me as someone out of ideas. He looked fed up.

Sacked before the new year surely.

The new owners seems to be a bunch of noobs. Feels like Tuchel didn't have full control of the transfers and signings have been foisted on him

Going to be interesting to see how this plays out. Under Roman, managers went as soon as the champions league looked at risk. But will Boehly do the same? By all accounts, Tuchel had far more control over transfers this summer, but that makes it harder still for the new owner to sack him.

Still, Chelsea have a pretty favourable fixture list in coming weeks, aside from a home game vs Liverpool. I think he'll get through this period alright, whether or not he fixes the underlying problems.

No way they can get Potter while the season is underway
Sure they can, you don’t say no to Chelsea if you’re Brighton manager.
He might never get that kind of chance again, all other top teams could be settled for several years with their managers.
Brighton form could turn to crap, and they might go on a downward spiral, anything can happen in Football.

Eddie Howe used to be talked about like Potter, then he got relegated with Bournemouth and well, he’s not been linked to a big club since then.

Also we have the world cup mid season, that can give him enough time to settle into the job.

It's going to be Pochettino. You just know it with his London affiliations.
