Can everyone remember the days when we use to get excited about transfers and the Muppets went into overdrive ? I miss them days , now it's all doom and gloom . I want to see people getting erections whilst tracking planes on flight tracker
Well this should be that window you are talking about. We should have been showing intent, making (dont just mean names) big signings and getting all the dead wood and troublesome unhappy players out of the window.
Only press talk but it kind of looks like we may have actually tried to make statements of intent trying to sign DeLigt, Koulibailly, Sancho, Felix, Fernandes, Bissaka. COuld also be similar with outgoigns, holding out for the right fees for the likes of Pogba and Lukaku.
Of course the other side of the coin is this could all be smoke screens, or no plan b and we arent even going to get rid of half the players we should be....some of the contracts handed out suggest that
I guess we have to wait until the end of the window....but yes Im definately half empty at the moment

When we approach they quote us double that figure. It’s just our reality. We need to just pay whatever it takes, we have the money. Haggling gets us nowhere it’s a waste of time.
I wonder if it's possible to negotiate anonymously when it comes to purchase price?

Probably a daft idea but it would be nice to find a way around the 'Utd tax'.

I'm seeing images of Ed sat on the floor surrounded by magazines, carefully cutting out his letters random style.

Unless we use one of our shady linked clubs to bid.
But it'd be pretty obvious still!

It's the Daily Mirror.

They're kind of famous for their illegal wire taps.
Thats the mail. Who known for talking shite about everything.

Fairly sure it was news of the world who tapped celebs. Which is why they don't exist anymore.

Was Piers Morgan when he was editor of the Mirror

What an awful day for transfer tweets. Only 8 today by my count. Normally I come off a 12 hour shift and there’s 50+

Hannibal unilaterally breaks his contract with Monaco

Mind boggling. The family #Mejbri decides to break the contract binding him to #Monaco unilaterally. AS Monaco is not aware of the legal action. Monaco had warned FIFA a few days ago of these difficulties in the case. Monaco will go to the end legally.

Why would they feck with a family who named their kid, “Hannibal”?

Don’t say I didn’t warn ya, Monaco.

Auba for 70 million? Why even bother making up something like that? Ed is a money dude, he wouldn't invest that much in an asset that would be worth 0 at the end of the contract. And thank god for that.

Every player is worth zero at the end of their contract.

No, because they'll either get a new one or be sold. And if you buy a young guy and he stays until reitrement, you'll have gotten your money's worth. I suspect you actually understood what I meant, but just couldn't help yourself .....

And, erm, who exactly has ‘Ed’ made a profit on so far? I dare you. Name one player he’s sold on at a profit?
