Pretty well documented Sanè current deal isn’t close to €9.3m per year and that’s why he’s been pushing hard for a new one and has found himself with just 2 years left on his contract with more leverage. The detail in the negotiation is key, with us retaining the clause. For all the armchair specialist transfer negotiators - note should be taken as to why it ‘took so long’. A £50m deal and still owning 25% of Zaha is brilliant work from us.
And in late June, the deal is not exactly ‘too late’ for anything but muppet appetites anyway.

Yeah, maybe we're not as incompetent as some think. Reports were that they would only sell for that much if the clause was removed.
