It means if they accept an offer from another club they are obliged to offer the player to the club with the first option first, for the agreed price.
It means nothing. They just have to inform the club and see if they can match the price. If they do then it's up to player like in any other deal.

One of the most useless clause, it's only purpose is "club who sold the player initially are informed and no deal is done in secret".

Ornstein said that City have an option to match any offer a club makes for Sancho as first option. It's not unusual.
Yes City do Because their the ones who sold him to Dortmund in the first place. However Real Madrid getting first option on Sancho because their loaning them another player is unusual and most likely never happened. Especially a prize asset like Sancho, Dortmund ideally want to spark a bidding war and the more teams interested the better as far as their concerned.

Diogo, they figure he'll be sold this summer as Ole has never really rated him apparently and those 2 clubs along with unamed Ligue 1's are interested
Agree, it's quite obvious that Ole doesn't really rate him.

Whilst Ramsdale is having medicals with Sheffield United, we're still waiting for an update from Man. Utd. on Henderson.

We all love United
Amazing that we bought the bloke from Porto after playing for them only about 8 senior games? Another garbage signing by Mourinho

It's actually hilariously bad too. We needed senior RB and Leicester signed Ricardo Pereira from Porto just days before us and for almost same price and he is one of the best in the league, barely took time to adapt.

That is incredibly frustrating. How the feck could we let that happen.

Is anybody in for Pereira, he ticks a lot of the CAF requirements in a fullback I feel.

He’s shown more promise than TFM at right back. Hopefully we are signing a left back if Dalot is sold. And Williams can be the back up right back. Playing a right footed player at left back always looks uncomfortable to me.

Bologna renewed their contacts with Aaron Hickey in the hopes of convincing him to join them.

He already visited Bologna's training facilities. I'm guessing that he might be tempted by joining Bayern Munich but is also weighing the prospects of playing first-team football, which is why he may not have committed to them yet.

People are writing Dalot off too soon. He was signed as a kid with no senior game experience. He was thrown to the deep end in one of the toughest leagues for one of the biggest club. Did we really expect anything different ?

Give him sometime and he will be our first choice in couple of years.

First choice what? He also can’t stay fit.

For players who aren't fixated on joining a certain club it can present a big risk, and Sancho hasn't given the impression that he only wants to play for us. We'd never risk the humiliation of a similar event to what's happened with David Silva and Lazio.

Yeah, with or without clause, City can just offer what we did and talk to player.
